Visit the summit of Mt Titlis on an afternoon tour from Lucerne, where spectacular mountain vistas and a range of snow-themed attractions await. After arriving in Engelberg, ride on the aerial cableway to the summit of Mt Titlis for roughly two hours of free time. Entry to acclaimed glacier attractions such as the rotating Titlis Rotair gondola, Titlis Glacier Park, Ice Flyer chairlift, Glacier Cave and Cliff Walk — Europe’s highest suspension bridge — are all included.
Board your coach in central Lucerne, and travel south to Engelberg, a glorious alpine village tucked in the shadows of Mt Titlis. On arrival, hop aboard the aerial cableway with your guide, and then ride to the glacier’s summit — some 10,000 feet (3,020 meters) above sea level. The 45-minute journey is all about the views! As Engelberg slips from sight, the dramatic beauty of the Bernese Alps takes center stage, so sit back, ogle the vistas and relax.
At the top, how you spend your time is up to you. Make the most of two hours of mountaintop fun by strolling around the summit, feeling the crunch of snow under your boots while taking in the glacial landscape.
Or perhaps visit some of Mt Titlis’ renowned attractions. Admire 360-degree views aboard the rotating Titlis Rotair gondola; ride on the Ice Flyer chairlift and gaze down to the icy depths below; slip your way down the slopes while snow tubing in the Titlis Glacier Park; walk along the Cliff Walk for vertigo-inducing views; or visit the Glacier Cave to see millions of ice crystals in a frozen underground grotto, far below the glacier’s surface.
If the brisk mountain air makes you feel hungry, refuel with alpine fare at one of the summit’s several restaurants. All food and drinks are at your own expense.
At the prearranged time, meet your guide for the descent back to Engelberg where your coach is ready to return to Lucerne. Your tour then finishes at the start point in central Lucerne.
Our tour guide was very friendly and gave us clear instructions about the timing and meeting up spots, as well as, the tickets for the cable car up. We had enough time to cover all the fun snow activities such as tubing, sledging, ice glacier cave, and enjoy the view of the mountain.

This is a tour you can do on your own. Some tours need a guide - this is not one of them. There were people going up the mountain in the gondolas with no problem. You really can't make a mistake. Get off one - get on another.

Overall, our tour guide was unhelpful, uncooperative and very disorganised; she provided very little to no information at all and wouldn’t answer our questions. In fact, the bus wasn’t even there to take us back at the designated time, therefore leaving us to pay a fare for the train back.

The meeting location was comfortable and the tour bus was also clean and comfortable. The ride to Mount Titlis was very scenic. Mount Titlis itself was spectacular and fortunately for us, we were there on the only sunny, clear day during our 10 days in Paris, Basel and Freiburg!

The excursion was excellent and well organised. Transport by coach from Lucerne was through stunning scenery and we encountered the snow we had come to Switzerland to see before we reached the foot of Mt Titlis and there was of course plenty more to be seen and walked on at the summit just over 10,000 feet.

Breathtaking views, spectacular snow capped mountains. The weather was just perfect, clear skies and bright sunshine yet temperatures still dropped below zero, - 14°C actually. Lots of free time to explore during the tour by Best of Switzerland Tours. The guide was friendly and approachable. Highly recommended tour.

I upgraded to the snow experience, however it seems that it's more expensive to do the upgrade via the tour vs just purchasing the tickets directly from the Snow Exoerience shop. the Tour operator should have provided the tickets for the Ice Flyer ride also. Tour guide should share more about Lucern

Well organised tour, weather gods were not on our side that day had a bit of a snow storm whilst up the mountain causing cliff walk and ice flyer to not be operational, but still very worth the day to go there. Gill was great.

The mountain was amazing but our Tour Guide was terrible, she was very aggressive and very sarcastic, we could not wait to get off this tour....She had no knowledge of the area, all we heard was boring things about cows and she pointed out every house.

The tour and guide were both excellent! Mt Titlis is an EXPERIENCE that my spouse and I really enjoyed. We are elderly and did not utilize the outdoor sporting venues but did everything else. The scenery is magnificent during the ascent, at the top, and coming down. _br/_ We have previously been to the other nameless mountain just outside Luzerne and can truly say this was much more enjoyable.

Not adequate value for money. We went for a half day tour of Titlis on Sep 06, 2017. We were disappointed because we were taken in a small Van and not a normal Bus/Coach. The seats slightly small and leg room was less. The Van driver who doubled up as a tour guide was good but not very clear and informative. She provided lot of info. at one go and that is difficult to remember for any tourist. Punctuality was maintained. Window panes of the Van were tinted and not clear glass, so we were unable to take natural pictures of the beautiful sceneries on the way to Engelberg.

The tour guide was very professional and organized. She gave us a lot of info not a only about Mt.Titlis but about the general region and culture which was very nice to learn about. The experience on the mountain was amazing with breathtaking views from the chair lift and cliff walk. I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids and we had a fabulous time. The big problem on this trip was the time allowed on the top which was only approximately 2hrs. There are so many activities that we felt rushed and did not have any time for lunch. Instead of starting the tour at 12 noon, they could start an hour or two earlier which would allow more time to enjoy the experience. I noted that the Mt.tiltlis and Mt.pilatus tours are combined on the bus from pickup and the Mt. Pilatus visitors get dropped off before us which may be the reason for the timing. Also we took the trip from Lucerne and they had passengers to be dropped off at Zurich which makes the timing very rigid for the driver and tour guide.

Prompt collection by the guide from Starbucks, central Lucerne, to join the coach with others from Zurich. At Mount Titlis we went up 10,000 feet using two cable cars. The guide was very informative and there was plenty to do at the top with more than enough time to visit the different attractions. Especially enjoyed the suspension bridge walk and the glacier cave. Weather went from brilliant sunshine to lightning, thunder and rain all within several hours. Very popular place with visitors from India that you almost forget you are in Switzerland.

I took six trips through Viator and if I had to pick my favorite, it was the trip to Mt. Titlis. I had college-age kids with me and they were thrilled too. At 10,000 feet, you are on top of Switzerland's highest peak and crossing Europe highest suspension walk bridge. It was something I will never forget. There are days that loom in your memory that are larger than life, this trip WAS larger than life. It was much better than Pilatus which we did also and the ice-cave, while touristy, was also super cool. It was too winded to do to all the things on the top of the mountain - chair lift etc - but we still feel like we got our money's worth!

the view from all cable car, Titlis mount is super great. Tour guide was so nice. His tone and language were epic. However, it could be fantastic and the emotion could be fulfilled if the time is longer. It could reach the highest emotion if the journey starts at 8am and ends at 4pm. Starting getting on the bus at 12 30 pm means that you will be at mount titlis at 2pm. So you only have 2 hours to enjoy the view, take around 100 pictures, and join 1-2 activities or maybe buy some bars of chocolates. It will be great if you have a whole day there.

We had a fabulous time. The meeting place was easy to locate the guides there were very friendly and continually made sure all guests were accounted for at the meeting place, as there were a few different tours departing from the same location. The guides were excellent at providing information so we could make the most out of our tour. The length of the tour was ample for us to explore everything Mt Titlus had to offer. We would definately recommend this tour, we had a fabulous time.

The weather was not our friend on our trip to Mount Titlis, so we didn't see much of the mountain. But, we still had fun experiencing some Switzerland snow and riding the cable car down the mountain in a snow storm! Probably, a great trip if you have good weather and visibility. The wind and snow kept us from being able to do most of the outdoor activities.

A must experience for all. Cable car ride is beautiful all along. Glacier Cave, Rotair gondola experience at the top is amazing. Snow rides in Glacier Park to the top is also good fun for the family. Bus ride from Lucerne is also very enjoyable.

Only giving it a 4 star because of the weather. I'd HIGHLY recommend this trip. It was easy to find our guide in the city and from there we had a beautiful drive over to the Mount Titlis. The views were absolutely incredible and we had a blast sledding on the lower part of the mountain. Unfortunately our views from the very top were obscured by a large whiteout. Even with that, it was still one of the best experiences of my life and I would love to go back and experience the views on a clear day. Thank you to Anders for being a great tour guide!

I really loved the way this tour was set up- we were bussed to the bottom of the mountain and given information and instructions on how to explore the different levels of the mountain, but once we got there, we had a few hours to see everything on our own. We were very lucky to have the most perfect weather on the day of our tour. The view from Mount Titlis left us awestruck. I highly recommend this tour, there is no way to describe the beauty you will get to see!

This was a great trip and well worth the money. Our guide Marcel, was amazing. He was very helpful, friendly and very well organized. _br/_ Timing for the trip was excellent, just the right length of time to explore, have some lunch and take loads of pictures. Viator is true to their advertising which I why I keep coming back to them for special day trips that I want to do in my travels.
