From Maui, venture to the coast of Lanai for a snorkeling adventure! The Hawaiian island of Lanai is virtually untouched, often called 'Pineapple Island' for the abundance of pineapple groves. Much like the island, the waters surrounding it are untouched by humans and teeming with colorful and vibrant sea life.
Your morning begins at Maui’s Lahaina Harbor, where you will board your boat and set out to neighboring Lanai. During the 45-minute trip, enjoy a continental breakfast with coffee and juices. As you approach East Lanai Landing, keep your eyes out for dolphins, as these waters are home to a few pods!
For the next 2 to 2.5 hours, spend your time snorkeling, swimming and using the attached waterslide.
On your way back to Lahaina Harbor, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch on the boat, admiring the beautiful views of Maui in the foreground and Lanai in the background.
Best part of our trip to Maui by far - the snorkeling was amazing in and around untouched Lanai. Then we saw whales maybe 20-30 of them close by and breaching - spectacular! But by far the best part was running into the family of dolphins that live around Lanai - several hundred playful ones jumping out of the water and following us! really really amazing and highly recommended! Staff was great and very warm and hospitable! Would do again for sure!!!

Totally enjoyed this dolphin and snorkel cruise! Captain Sandy was informative and a whole lot of fun! Brandon kept us entertained and the naturalist on board sorry, I can not remember her name was amazing! Breakfast was very light, so if you get hungry it may be best to eat before you go. Lunch was a BBQ on the deck. Simple, yet great. They had hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken and veggie burger upon request. We were in the middle of dolphin soup and saw 3 varieties. Very cool! Even though it was in the beginning of humpback season we still saw some humpback rolling, tail flaps and blowholes. The whales were so amazing. We loved the crew and would come back and snorkel and travel with them anytime! Thanks guys for a wonderful adventure!

My husband and I went on the Lanai dolphin and snorkeling tour. We had such a wonderful time! Due to the windy weather we couldn't go to Lanai, but out was fine because the captain found other fantadtic snorkeling spots for us. We saw beautiful fish, sea turtles, and even a white fin reef shark! The crew was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed muffins, fruit, and juice for breakfast, and there was lots of barbeque hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken for lunch. They had veggie burgers too, just ask them to grill them if you want one. The potato/pasta salad was tasty. We also got a complimentary drink, just had to ask for it. We were lucky because it was a beautiful sunny day, and whale season started early! Even though it was only the end of November we saw several whales! Our crew was great, and they would stop the boat whenever one was spotted and let us know where to look.

Our trip was ok, went to some nice snorkeling spots. We did not go to Lanai due to weather conditions with wind. Our tour captain did her best to make it nice and upbeat, but it fell short in a lot of ways. We ended up going to a snorkel spot that we could have gone to on our own on the coast a little ways up from Lahaina and then we went back to another spot just outside Lahaina. Both spots we could have easily accessed without paying a large amount of money to go to. It was a very disappointing day. We asked for a discount on the trip cost since we were not going to Lanai, but we were denied that request. We were given the option of possibly returning on another day, but since we had already gotten up at 5:00 a.m. to meet our boat, had no breakfast, and were already there and ready and the captain stated that there might be a chance that we would be able to go to Lanai, we decided to take the trip. Needless to say, it was not a great day to try and go to Lanai, according to our captain and we ended up skirting the southern coast of Lahaina.

We were a party of five adults, ranging in age from 60 to 22, and quite varied snorkeling experience and we all enjoyed this tour immensely. We booked this tour through Viator because a similar one through our cruise ship was sold out. This was not only significantly less expensive than booking through the cruise line but ended up being one of our favorite activities of the week. The crew was very safety conscious and respectful of the environment. They were also lots of fun and shared a wealth of information about the islands, the reef and the sea life we were seeing. The reef was beautiful and we were able to see a great variety of beautiful fish as well as sea turtles. A highlight was the large pod of dolphins that frolicked along side the boat for quite a while. The provided breakfast and lunch were good and the drinks we enjoyed once we were done snorkeling were very good. Brandon and Kevin were terrific apologies if the names aren't accurate, I'm terrible at remembering names. I would highly recommend this excursion, a perfect mix of a relaxing cruise and exciting activity. Also, when researching excursions before choosing this one, I saw several reviews that stated the snorkeling sites, while beautiful, were too crowded to be enjoyed. This was definitely not true with this one. We were the only boat at the first site and there was only one other boat at the second one. Our boat was also spacious with ample seating, two decks and both sun and shady areas to enjoy. Tip-put your sunscreen on well before boarding the boat, we were informed it is toxic to the reef if not allowed to soak in to your skin. Spray on is discouraged on board too. Do this, even if you are not an experienced snorkeler!!!

Yes!!! Loved it! We would have loved to see more turtles; amazing animals. Service from the crew was incredible. The only thing was to get there, we were on the cruise ship very far and the taxi was very expensive. There should be pick up at the pier. Overall great although no dolphins anywhere!!

Best part of our trip to Maui! Captain Becca and her fabulous crew took us to Lanai and we got to snorkel over a living coral reef. _br/_ It's a large, clean, comfortable boat and the well-trained and friendly crew was well organized and helpful to all the guests on board. _br/_ After the reef, we motored back to Maui to snorkel in a spot with turtles, then took a bit of time out on the water looking for dolphins._br/_ Lots of good quality gear available, along with a light breakfast and lunch. First off all we stood in line at 6:30 am until departure at 7:30. The snorkeling sight had very minimal things to see. Small fish and small coral fields. We had 1 hr. to snorkel. Then off to the second place by a very circuitous route, they were using up time. Got to the second place and there was a private boat on our buoy, more wasted time, which had to be moved. At this time there were 3 other snorkel companies there. It was way crowded and again not much to see. Lunch was served but my friend who decided to stay in for a while didn't get anything because they ran out. Upon arriving at the dock we had to wait in a holding pattern for 30 min. Because our dock space was in use. Don't recommend this tour.

This was by far the best snorkeling experience I've had. I've snorkeled in Mexico and the Florida Keys but this was so cool. The captain and her staff were attentive, detailed and were able to handle things quickly, even when we had to move spots because the wind shift was super quick. I found Nick to be a character and a joy to talk with. The captain helped put my friend at ease as this was her first time snorkeling. She loved it. It's worth the time and money, I'd recommend this to any and all.

Such a great trip. The captain and crew were spectacular. The views unbelievable and the snorkeling was perfect. A must do. Took 3 children who couldn and #39;t swim and they were able to snorkel. The crew was extremely helpful and had all the needed equipment. Bring swim shirts for the sun!

This was a great adventure. If you like snorkeling this one is great. The on board crew will swim around with you and show you some interesting things. You should see plenty of turtles and colorful fish. On our way back to the dock we found a super pod of dolphins that made the trip extra special. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Tip: Have some cash to tip the crew

This was a great experience, we never snorkeled before, so I was apprehensive, but once I got in the water, it was so much fun. I would do again in a heart beat. The crew of the boat were fantastic and very caring, I think they knew about my fear of the water and they reassured me everything would be fine, and I loved it.

We are a family of four and found this excursion to be a lot of fun. The crew was attentive and friendly and the whole time was well planned and organized. We did see a pod of spinner dolphins and a few sea turtles when we snorkeled. We had a really fun time. If I was to nick pick at anything, there was a longish cruise to and from Lanai.....we do recommend this.

The crew was nice. The trip over was not relaxing because the boat was moving quickly and hitting the waves to get to our destination. Trying to get meals and even just moving around the boat was a difficult balancing act. We didn't see any dolphins. We did see some colorful fish and a sea turtle at the first snorkel stop in Lanai. The water was cold and murky at the second stop in Lahaina so I didn't stay in long enough to explore. Many others also cut their snorkeling short at the second stop.One beer was offered after snorkeling. Lunch was hot dogs, hamburgers and a potato/macaroni salad mix and the crew came around offering cookies later. Breakfast was muffins, fresh fruit granola bars, coffee and juice. There was plenty of food, sodas and water. The price was right.

We totally loved the Snorkeling experience. It was our first time and we had the best crew to help us non swimmers experience snorkeling without any hiccups. We called them a day prior to check for a good parking spot nearby and Blossom was very helpful in letting us know about a parking lot nearby where we could get full day parking at a reasonable cost. The captain was a very nice lady, she gave non swimmers a special lesson and tips on how to snorkel. Sorry can't recollect her name. Since my husband was buddying my son and I was too afraid to go all by myself another crew member who was from Alaska and it was his first day volunteered to help me and asked me to hold on to the boogie board so I cud experience snorkeling. Had it not been for him I wud have never got a chance to experience the beautiful marine life below.We gotta see almost a dozen Dolphins swim past out boat and a bunch of Turtles too. It was truly a breathtaking experience.Not to forget the warm suit they let us rent for 10 as well as the warm BBQ burgers we relished post snorkeling. We were so glad to have choosen Viator for this once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend this cruise.

Awesome day!! Super relaxing. The captain and crew were excellent. The snorkeling was amazing. Our 9 and 10 year old absolutely loved snorkeling and then jumping off the dock and sliding off the slide. Great way to explore Hawaii and get a little exercise to boot!! One tip: feel free to bring clothing to change into. We went on board with as little as possible including towels, and there was totally enough space to stash things change clothes.

Crew did a great job. They kept the ride out interesting with stories of the islands. They kept us hydrated and safe throughout the trip. Good snacks and bbq. We saw a whole pod of dolphins and sea turtles! Only reason for 4 star was merky water conditions at one of the stops. Highly recommended!

Inexperienced captain that makes us swim 600 yds away from the boat on a rocking ocean. People were in need to grab the surf of the tour guides to get back to the boat. Snorkelling was fun and we got to see whales and dolphins along the way. The crew was top knotch and efficient. Tons of food that was delicious, more than we anticipated. There are a lot of people on the boat so it isn and #39;t intimate, but the 2 snorkel sites and the beauty surrounding made a great day.

This trip was awesome! The crew were young and enthusiastic, and seemed determined to find the perfect spots for us to snorkel! We were taken out to Lanai for a great hour near the cliffs, and then back to a ruined pier outside of Lahaina for some more snorkeling. On our trip out to Lanai were were surrounded by a pod of dolphins, which was a truly magical experience. In the water, we saw many sea turtles and innumerable fish. I saw one crewmember helping two ladies who were having a really hard time with seasickness but were determined to get in the water. He allowed them to hang on to his surfboard and 'snorkel' while hanging on. Really kind and considerate staff, who obviously love their jobs in this beautiful place. The boat was a real workhorse, so don't expect any glamour on this trip! If you want to see some real beauty - even if you have never snorkeled before in your life!

Just an overall great trip! My 90 year old father enjoyed the boat trip although he didn't snorkel. The captain and staff were wonderful and we even saw dolphins cavorting. Only 1 suggestion for the tour company: Please upgrade your snorkels. They were short and water kept getting in. Otherwise, everything was just perfect!!
