Feel the Southern breeze and taste a colorful meal during the Montreal Dinner Cruise. Enjoy the exclusive atmosphere on the Cavalier Maxim, a five-course dinner in the intimacy of a chic dining room and the inviting music that will have you dancing the night away.
Cast off for fine dining aboard the Cavalier Maxim, Montreal's unique cruising restaurant. As the sun goes down, take in all the magic of Montreal by night. The fabulous view from the glass-enclosed decks sets the stage for a very special evening.
The chef has prepared for you a meal worthy of the Captain's Table: fresh salmon fillet, chicken supreme, fillet mignon and not to mention the chef's delight -- always a favorite for dessert! (Menu subject to change.) Your wine steward will offer wine suggestions to complement your gourmet dinner meal.
No dinner cruise is complete without music. Leave your cares behind and dance under the stars with Montreal and the islands as your backdrop.
Food was surprisingly good. Service also excellent. Nice entertainment, however our table didn't have a view of main floor. But we sat next to window so we had the better view of the city. I guess you either have one or the other. Dancing after dinner, night time views spectacular! Glad I added this to my Montreal experience.

Awesome cruise! Night time cruise from the Old Port of Montreal , headed east then back again. Thoroughly entertaining live show from the cirque company. Fabulous food on board for dinner - much better quality than I expected! Then dancing and fun on deck after dinner. This was 4 hours of fun. I highly recommend it to anyone in Montreal.

The dinner service was slow, but the dinner itself was awesome. Also, know that you have to pay for drinks. The best part of the night was dancing on the deck all types of music was played and the acrobatic show was ... interesting. We took this cruise on our first night in Montreal and it was a nice way to start off our vacation or, holiday, as someone from Britian who I met on the boat would call it.

I highly recommend this. The ship's crew is outstanding, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is alot of fun. Best experience in Montreal of many.

This tour was good. I thought there would have been more commentary on the areas that we were seeing on land. The circus act during dinner was just weird. The meal was very good but overall I thought it was a bit expensive for what we received.

was about time for us to feel young again, we did not dance, but we enjoy the music and the food was excellent. and our waiter very polite and friendly.

This cruise was excellent. The dinner and service was first class. The food was well prepared and served in formal style. We had acrobatic entertainment while we ate. The views from the floor to ceiling windows allowed us to see the lovely skyline of Montreal in the evening light. The DJ played a variety of musical styles. The young adults obviously enjoyed the dancing. Circus entertainers performed on deck for everyone's enjoyment. We returned to dock with the lovely night view of the city. It was both relaxing and exciting.

I and #39;m sorry. We were disappointed. I would not refer to this as a five course gourmet meal. It was not until we arrived we realized there were two options. The acrobatic entertainment was enjoyable. Waiter friendly. Food less than marginal.

every thing was okay but the price was high

This was over priced for what we were served and if you didn't speak French then you had no idea what was said as 95 was in French

Tour was good but very unhappy to be told on arrival that an electronic version of booking confirmation was not acceptable even though the Viator information clearly said it was. A number of us were left to scrabble around to get a wi-fi connection on the harbour to email our confirmation to the office. A stressful start to what was supposed to be a relaxed and special evening. Please correct info about this.

The food was very good, Eric was a great cruise director, and we danced until we docked! If you don't do this river cruise you are missing out. I'm from NYC and not easily impressed. It was better than I expected, much better.

WE had a very special Anniversary on this cruise!
Review by: Mariah L, June 2015
The boat itself is overdue for a makeover, but I was looking forward to my 5 course dinner. The service was great, but the food was pretty disgusting. The 4 of us at the table are very little off of our plates. What made the trip worth it was dancing under the stars on the deck!
Review by: Elizabeth R, June 2015
Food was great. Service was a little chaotic. Coffee was horrible. PA system needs better acoustics in the bottom floor of the boat. Dancing and lighting on the deck was great. I would recommend an enforced dress code. I would definitely do the cruise again and recommend it to anyone.

If you would like to have a less than average meal with terrible waiter service and views of the shipping containers then you should take this long and painful dinner cruise!!!! It started with a terrible glass of cider and the combo of bad drink and food continued. Then the DJ started, Urgh! Awful night!

A very nice dinner. Seeing a different view of the city from the river. Smooth trip on the river. Enjoyable way to spend a Saturday night.

We were seated in a lovely glassed-in dining area with great views of the river. The 5 course meal was prepared well and included quite a variety of foods. This was not a buffet. You were served by a great waitstaff and given very personal attention. We had escargot as an appetizer and it was prepared correctly and was very tasty. You had a choice of your main dish and all three in my party were happy with their choices. An amazing creme puff dessert finalized the meal. During the meal, we were entertained by a french-speaking singer accompanied by a keyboard. The entertainment was not so loud that it interfered with conversation but was loud enough that you could listing if you wished. After dinner, we went outside where a DJ was playing all kinds of oldies and everyone, including the staff, were dancing on the deck. Great entertainment watching even if you don't dance. We walked along the upper deck and enjoyed the view of the city at night. We had a great experience and i would recommend this cruise.

This trip was misold. According to the web advert, the music was reported to be as a string quartet led by a member of the Montreal Metropolitan Orchestra. It turned out to be a French singer and a piano player.

The food was very varied and interesting although the cruise seemed too long. At the end of the evening, they had dancing upstairs on deck. Unfortunately, from the glass windows downstairs, you could see there were about 100 mosquitos on one glass pane alone. It rather discouraged you from going on deck to be eaten. They took professional pictures of your party which was nice.

I specifically called and asked if the Dinner Cruise was a guided tour and was told YES. It was a little disappointing to find out it was a booze cruise. On the up side, the waitress' were excellent.

Viator advertised lower prices, but in fact, it was much more expensive. Tickets were $99 per person in Montreal. It is not worth it to use Viator.

Enjoyed the cruise. Nice meal, ship was awesome. Main disappointments - paying extra for drinks, and not having a musical quartet for dancing. Instead was a DJ playing covers.

There was a couple of Issues. There was no seating chart,or choice of level you were assigned to. We were on the lowest deck, my wife has a knee problem and found it very hard walking up and down 3 stair cases.Their were only 3 waiters for 45 people, They did a great job beside that fact. Their were no directions on how to get to this place, and I down loaded the email voucher they asked for a booking number I did not have one.It was a fine Dinner with great music. They left on time and got back on time.

It was an amazing tour! I was afraid to experience sea sickness, but the cruiseship glided on water very smoothly so nothing happened. There is a waiter assigned to your table right away and the service is spot-on. The 5-service dinner is absolutely delicious! There is a guide who's describing the natural scenery, seen through the huge windows, all along. If you find that you ate, talked and sat all you wanted, you can go outside. There is a DJ there with perfect music, so you can dance under the stars. The staff is very friendly and performs a surprise-dance for the clients by the end of the tour. It was an amazing experience and I definitely recommend it to everybody!

This was the best dinner cruise we've ever done. And we have done several thru Viator. This one was definitely superior - food was fantastic - the cruise itself was wonderful - and the staff was excellent. So happy that we were able to do this.
