Arrive at Olympic Park, built for the 1976 Summer Olympics, and make your way to the Montreal Tower, part of the stadium complex. Rising 541 feet (165 meters) at a 45-degree angle, the Montreal Tower is the world’s tallest leaning tower, with more than 250,000 visitors each year.
Climb aboard a 2-level glass-encased funicular accommodating up to 76 passengers at a time, and enjoy the 2-minute ascent to the observatory deck. The only funicular in the world to operate on a curved structure, the sophisticated hydraulic system maintains the cabin on a horizontal level as it glides up the tower.
At the top, marvel at the panoramas of Montreal, the Laurentian mountains and the St Lawrence River Valley. On clear days, see up to 50 miles (80 km) all around — a view that received a three-star rating from the Michelin Guide. It is no surprise that the Montreal Tower is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers, alongside the CN Tower in Toronto, the Empire State Building in New York and the Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur.
Return to the tower’s massive triangular base, which includes a sports center of seven basins for water sports and a sports hall.
Optional Ticket to the Biodôme Upgrade and add a visit to the Biodôme, next door to the Montreal Tower. Under one roof, explore replicas of four ecosystems found in the Americas, each with a different climate. The Biodôme houses 500 plant species and more than 4,500 animals from 250 species.
Wander through the lush and warm Tropical Forest, a reproduction of a South American rainforest, and catch sight of thousands of plants and animals, including piranhas, caimans, bats and brightly colored birds.
Move on to the Laurentian Maple Forest of conifers and hardwoods, and spot an array of aquatic and land wildlife like amphibians, reptiles, beavers, porcupines, otters and lynx.
At the Gulf of St Lawrence ecosystem, discover hundreds of fish swimming in a basin holding 660,430 gallons (2.5 million liters) of ‘seawater’ produced at the Biodôme. In addition to fish like cod, striped bass, halibut and salmon, look out for sea stars, anemones, sea cucumbers and crab lining the rocky shores.
In the final ecosystem of the Labrador Coast and Sub-Antarctic Islands, delight in sighting Atlantic puffins, black guillemots and king penguins.
Afterward, take a coffee break at the on-site café or browse through the gift shop for souvenirs. If you’re up for more nature and science, check out the nearby Insectarium, Botanical Garden and Planetarium.
All depends on weather. If it is good, you are lucky and see Montreal. The most amazing experience is the lift up to the top of the Montreal Tower Observatory. The Biodome is inside a big building, weather is less affective, good for children , a family visit.

The tower was nothing special. The windows are pretty filthy so what you see is not very clear. But yes, you get to see the Montreal view from the top. Biodome was very cool. Penguins are the best!

The tower is a unique structure but it was having repair-work done at the time and the missing panels and tower cranes did ruin it. It also seemed quite tired and very 1980s which I often find to be quite appealing but for some reason I had an issue with it here. I think perhaps it is that there has been so much redevelopment around the site yet the stadium and tower seem to have been neglected.

This is not really a tour. I purchased the admission because is was a little cheaper than buying tickets on the day itself. It was also a better deal since we included the Biodome. The printed voucher has to be presented at the ticket office to obtain the actual tickets. All in all it saved us some money. The Observatory was interesting and since we are Olympic fans and the 2016 games were underway, it was fun to be at this Olympic site.

This is not an actual tour, but an advance purchase of tickets for the Biodome and Observatory. With that said, it will save you time in line and is also less expensive, but you are touring these areas independently.

If you drive into Montreal, my BIG TIP would be to park on the street nearby and pay the meter for a couple hours. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it seemed that most side streets had plenty of spots to park, and the underground parking at the Observatory, while extremely convenient / protected / and great for anyone with mobility difficulty, is 17 CD. Not a real tour at the Observatory. You go up...you stay a while ...see things...you come down / all whenever you like. Views were definitely outstanding and worth it at the top. We did the Biodome also, and it was fun and interesting, but my daughter is a big swimmer and we spent our time looking at the Olympic pools and watching some water polo.

Saving, saving, saving!! Definitely worth the money. Would recommend it. The Montreal biodome was very interesting and I enjoyed that the most. The Tower Observatory ride was like a 2min ride up get off a little platform and you can look from the windows at the Montreal skyline. Don't really need that much time up there. The Montreal Tower takes about 15 mins tops! and the Biodome takes about 1hour.

The line was only moderately long we got there early. The ride up and down was thrilling. The top of the observatory offered great views looking back at the city of Montreal. My only disappointment was that the whole olympic village was so dated without any real effort to make it visually appealing. Best example were the pictures of the olympian athletes which were frayed and fading.

The Biodome and Observatory were great touristy attractions to make this trip more enjoyable. Surprisingly, the Biodome seemed pretty extensive and more interesting than I imagined. The views from the leaning tower are impressive. The complex seems like something out of the future but predicted in the past. They are both worth checking out.

It was tickets only, no transportation. While we didn't have to wait on a long line to purchase tickets, we did have to pay an additional 12 for parking!. The Biodome was a complete disappointment. Was basically a few feet of each zone, containing a few small animals... more like a very small children's zoo. Would have liked it to be a little more adult friendly -- perhaps detailing how the zones exist on their own, etc...

This tour started off being simply fantastic until the guide stopped speaking in the middle of his sentence. He was requested to leave in order to accommodate another tour. He was very apologetic and explained that he was carrying out directives. About 10 of us were stalled in the observatory waiting for the tour guide's replacement. After 25 minutes of 'no show' we exited to Biodome Tour which was simply breathtaking. Four stars for Biodme Tour; One star for Tower.....

The biodome is amazing for adults and children. Having the animals flying around you and walking through recreated ecosystems simply can't be described and must be experienced. The tower offers amazing views of the city. Also buying the tickets here saved us time (the line at the biodome was over a half hour long) and money. Just be advised you need to take the voucher to the tower first to redeem.

The bonus ticket to the Biodome made this a fantastic deal! Basically, you get the Biodome for free. Just make sure to pick up your tickets at the Observatory box office and not at the other attractions.
