It was great. Very friendly people. The boat trip was a bit longer than anticipated (over an hour each way) which would have been nice to know. Otherwise I would highly recommend it to anyone.

In Summary: The trip took 11 hours: approximately 4.75 hrs to get to the village, 2 hours at the village, and 4.25 hrs to return. There was minimal tour narration during the bus ride from Nadi to the river, only about 15 minutes after we picked up the last passengers. The river was low so the boat had difficulty traveling upstream for over an hour because the danger of hitting bottom. It was uncomfortable because of the length and seats with no backs, knees up to our chins, etc. The village visit was fine. The villagers were friendly and the dances, kava ceremony and food prepared was good. The return to the mouth of the river was quicker because it was downstream. The ride back still had no narration, instead a Christian movie was shown, which we feel was inappropriate for those on board with different religions, rather a film about Fiji would have been very appropriate, or even a movie made in Fiji. We were so disappointed because our other Viator tours were excellent.

Our group enjoyed the day but it wasn't what we expected. There was 8 people in a very narrow boat with a small motor. The seats were so low that everyone was very uncomfortable and even sore the next day. I thought we were going to be float down a river but instead we were motoring up and down the river. The Fijian village tour was very good however and overall we enjoyed the trip. Just recognize that the picture they show is not what the boat ride is really like.

We ran into Rain during the Boat ride to the Village! The Boat operator should have provided Rain Coats for each Passenger. The Boat was operated by a single Engine Propeller!

The Navua river trip was good. but there was not much wildlife in the river nor river banks. We visited the village and tried to understand their life. Kava Ceremony was interested . The lunch was good. the villagers _br/_ were friendly.

Reasonably nice but too hot needed some shade on the boat. When we got to the "village" felt obligated to give them money (donation). Was not a cheap tour. It was all "setup" fake for tourists. Western folk are just "a meal ticket".

The tour was really beautiful and the village people were warm and wonderful. The only problem we had was on the canoe trip over and back (mostly back). The guide and the tour info did not tell you that you would get soaked. My husband has a very expensive camera that got wet even in a plastic bag.

Amazing. Great guide. Take sunscreen. Very long boat ride in the sun with no canopy. Weat your swimmers you can stop for a dip on the way to the village.

This event was cancelled due to lack of participates on Saturday. We there fore joined a different tour "Robinson Curisoe Island Tour" which was a great alternative to the above eventhough we would have loved the Navua River Village Tour. We had loads of fun on the Robinson Curisoe Island.

During this tour I partially dislocated my hip at the village and everyone could not do enough for me. Junior my guide I could marry that man he was fantastic he looked after me, carried me back down to the river, with the help of others, put me in the canoe, helped me out of the canoe, held my hair back as I vomited with the pain and offered to get a private car to get me back to Nadi. I had the best day and the best experience, it was actually the highlight of my holiday. Sai and Niraj also did an amazing job looking after me on my 4 hour bus trip back to Nadi. i will go back again and again!!! The scenery and the service OUTSTANDING!!!

This was by far the best tour I went on during my visit to Fiji. Even though the weather did not cooperate, the sights and the people were amazing!

Our guide was fantastic, the guide on the bus part was exceptional and gave far more than you would ever expect. Every bit was well managed, no waiting everything was on time not Fiji time but totally on time. It was an emotional day at the village but we loved it and everyone is so incredibly friendly and welcoming..

We were picked up by bus on time from our hotel, and driven to the meeting place for the boat pick up. We were met by a very friendly man who was our guide, and put on board the boat. The boat trip is an hour and a half of beautiful scenery, and then you arrive at the village. The village tour may be interesting, however the conditions left me very sad. The welcome and Kava ceremony is interesting, and then a guided tour of the village. There is an opportunity to give a donation to the school to help improve the school for the kids. You are then ushered into the large community area for lunch, served on the floor which is lovely, however too much food. After lunch the souvenirs are set out for you to look at. Beware - these are not made by the people in the village, but are bought at cost and taken into the village for profit. You then take another hour and a half journey by boat back to the drop off pint, an then wait for a pick up by bus to return you to your hotel. The guide did seem to expect a tip, so be prepared. I found this tour sad and depressing, however the people are lovely and cheery. If you want to see how the people currently live, take the tour.

An authentic experience. Relaxing and the scenery fantastic. Our guide was really helpful and made the trip very enjoyable. Our bus experience was first class and a wonderful way of seeing a lot of Fiji (from Nadi to Navua). Our bus guide was delightful. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

It was such a relaxing trip in the boat and then such a lovely village to see and on the way back we stopped and swam by the waterfall. Only wish we had more time at the falls.

Pick up at Pacific Harbor was good, they picked us up at our resort The Uprising, which isn't on their pick up list, but they do make exceptions if your resort is along the way. Coach transfer was fine, nice air con coach. Only a 20 minute drive from Pacific Harbor. Tour is done up motor boat, the trip up and down the river was nice, but there are much better sections which you don't get to see further up the river We saw this on another tour, nice greenery, few water falls, friendly locals swimming, cleaning in the river. Once we reached the village, it was a bit awkward, you are ushered into a large hut where you sit down and get to ask questions, my advise to everyone is have a few questions lined up before you go, we had a few awkward silences in our group because no one was asking anything! I had a few pop into my head quickly so got out of that situation! This village is by no means a traditional village, it has a lot of mod cons, electricity, telephone, running water, but the people in the village are obviously very poor. Which brings me to my next point. You feel pressured into buying souvenirs, the people selling the items are in the hut your meet in, so it's impossible not to at least have a look, or else you feel pretty rude. Most of it was junk, plastic beads necklaces, there were a few good items though. The lunch provided was very nice with many types of local plants and vegetables used, very tasty experience. Overall a nice look into MODERN Fiji village life, tour guide seems to rush things a little, they probably operate this tour on a daily basis.

Nice boat trip up the river, but would not recommend if not staying near Navua or the Coral Coast. Too long a bus trip from the west coast.
