Elephants Orphanage Tour From Nairobi
Nairobi, Kenya
Visit the only Elephant Orphanage within the city of Nairobi. Enjoy the morning meeting some of the largest mammals on earth and learn about their lives and how they survive in the wild. The visit takes place during feeding time.
The Elephant Orphanage is the only one found within the city of Nairobi. Depending on your hotel location it can take 30 minutes to an hour to drive to the orphanage. The feeding time is between 11am and 12pm, so you'll be picked up at 10am to arrive in time.
As you watch the elephants feed and play, learn the stories about each creature from your guide and hear how the orphanage staff interacts with them. Your tour will conclude with drop-off back at your hotel.
We were picked up at our hotel and got to see the baby elephants feed right in time! Really an exciting activity as you are within touching distance to these elephants ! Just fantastic.

orphanage was excellant but viator was not so good. taxi arrived late then had to stop for diesel on the way. then for some unknown reason took us to a giraffe sanctuary even though he was told that was wrong. we arrived at the orphanage late and missed the first lot being fed. even though i have complained Viator have not even bothered to respond

Excellent!

The tour itself was great. The location and work they are doing is a must see. The value for money is appalling. Entry to the orphanage is paid by your guide on arrival and is 7USD. So you are essentially paying 55USD per person for a transfer from Nairobi to Nairobi National Park.

Really enjoyed seeing the elephants

I enjoyed seeing the elephants feed and play. I really enjoyed hearing the commentary on each elephant - their age, how old they were when they came to the orphanage, and the process for working with the elephants at different ages. Very informative and fun.
