On your next cruise to the Bahamas, you must jump off your ship and experience the fun of the SUB Bahamas Adventure! This shore excursion is the perfect way to see the underwater world if you don't feel like snorkeling or scuba diving. Easy to maneuver and operate, the SUB (Scenic Underwater Bubble) provides for a fun and safe adventure amongst the coral reefs and tropical marine life of the Bahamas.
Your SUB underwater experience begins with an orientation briefing provided by your professional SUB guide. During the briefing, you'll learn basic piloting skills and simple operating and communication procedures.
Following your orientation, you will board the comfortable custom-built support vessel to cruise to one of Nassau's famous reefs. Then, when you take to the water in your seahorse-shaped submarine, you'll be propelled to a depth of 15 feet (4.5 meters) to cruise around a coral reef and alongside colorful fish at a speedy two knots.
Throughout your submarine adventure, a team of professional SUB guides will supervise and escort you around the spectacular coral reef, feeding the fish along the way and stopping to point out the marine life.
Custom videos of your submarine experience will be available for purchase after your undersea excursion. Participant requirements:
Must be at least 12 years of age.
Must have good physical health.
Must be at least five feet tall.
Cannot be pregnant or have asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, a personal history of heart attacks, heart problems or strokes, recently diagnosed high blood pressure, be taking antidepressant medications or other potential contraindicated medications, or have problems equalizing your ears on an airplane or in the mountains. All participants will be required to complete a medical history form to determine eligibility.

A really unique way to explore marine life in Nassau that's somewhere between snorkeling, scuba diving and riding a moped. Several people on the experience were intimidated by equalizing underwater and perhaps it's not the best experience for people who suffer from claustrophobia. However, you can still take advantage of the great snorkeling while others are on the sub, you actually are able to see a greater variety of fish just exploring around the boat. Stuart Cove's is a professional operation with a great staff pretty much guaranteeing an excellent experience.

The people are very friendly the weather was kind of poor so very windy and choppy so rough boat ride out there but we made the best of it all around it was good but I do not recommend if the weather is choppy and you get sea sick because you will get sick

I will never book with Viator again. My girlfriends and I were really looking forward to the SUB excursion. The time listed to depart was 9:30 but when we got to the assigned place we found out the bus had left at 9:00. Upon closer inspection we found 3 times listed in our paperwork. Heads up to everyone booking with them to carefully read the papers.

I did not enjoy this excursion. It took way too much time to even arrive at Stuart Cove's via bus, then another long period of time on a smaller boat just to get to the spot where the actual sub dive took place. This corresponded to almost 3 hours travel time there and back. In addition, the diver misguided my husband in entering the helmut and he ended up hitting his head and obtaining a gash which bled profusely. There were too many people and not enough subs, which meant one group had to wait 30 minutes while the other went. All in all, I was very disappointed and would not recommend this excursion

On of thee best times ever!!!!If you are ever in Nassau you must do this excursion.The staff was friendly and professional and the overall experience was more than you can put in to words.The subs are comfortable and the view is breathtaking. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time !!!!

Very unique experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The water was gorgeous, visibility was amazing and the color was almost therapeutic. There were fish everywhere, we saw sea turtles and stingrays. Amazing experience! My only regret was that I didn't bring my 4 kids because they would have loved it.

Our family of 4 went on this excursion. The staff were professional and courteous. It was neat to see the fish, coral, and other sea life all around you, without needing to worry about swimming or holding your breath. The time underwater is not super long, but is long enough to feel like you see a lot (maybe 45 minutes? I did not time it, so I am not sure). They offered to let us snorkel afterwards, but since it was November, everyone on our tour but one person was too cold to go out in the water again. We had a few small issues that resulted in rating the excursion 3 stars instead of 4. First, there was a glob of yellow paint in my husband's SUB bubble right where he was wearing the GoPro camera. A pretty minor thing, but it is irritating to have a thousand unusable pictures because of a splotch. We also found it a bit irritating how long we had to wait for the shuttle back to the cruise pier after our tour was finished. We felt that they were really trying hard to get us to purchase overpriced burgers and gift shop items. The most concerning issue was with my 12 year old son's SUB unit - near the end of the tour, the water level in his bubble started to rise so that he had to push his head higher to be comfortably in the air bubble. As soon as the staff realized, they took him up and out of the water right away, but we found ourselves wondering if they would have noticed the problem, without him drawing their attention to it, if it had happened earlier in the tour. Overall a good tour, just be sure to pay attention to return times to the pier, and let the diver guides know if you are concerned about safety or have any trouble.

My daughter and I had a great time on the sub adventure. Suggest the bus driver could give a little info about the island, the neighborhoods, etc. on the long drive to Stuart's Cove. Also, could put in your info that food is available for purchase....info we received said only water is provided, so we tried to bring a lunch from the ship. I really appreciated that you had a couple of divers in the water with us to keep us going the right direction. I thought the subs were so cool and enjoyed the experience very much. Everyone was helpful in every way...instructions, and safety. I needed a little help when the ocean waves were too much for me to snorkel, and someone was right there to get me back to the boat.

Overall it was cool, however i wish the site they took you too had a reef and more fish. The SUB's need more power too, just could not move around to much. but the concept is cool nothing like it in Florida where I live.

The excursion itself was awesome. It was cool to be in the little subs underwater, and the staff were soo friendly. The only thing that was a little sketchy was the bus ride over. You better be ON TIME or early, or they will leave you. I am glad we arrived early because if we had been one minute late, they would have left us and we would have been out of a couple hundred bucks! The van is pink.

This is an adventure everyone should do. It was great the freedom under the water and was so safe. The operators are so caring of each person making you feel safe. I was nervous about getting in the sub but once in there it felt so comfortable i had no desire to get out. I recommend this for all

This was the best excursion ever! The staff was great. We seen a lot of fish and 3 sharks while in the subs. Then went snorkeling and there was a shark right underneath us. after it was over the guide went on the second floor of the boat and said come on and jumped back in right over the hand railings. I went right after he did with no gear at all. It was crazy jumping in with no gear right where the shark was but it was the best day ever would do it again in a minute.

This was the highlight of our cruise. The driver getting us there was insane - but exciting. The trip to the Hollywood reef was cool. We got to snorkel and bubble sub because there were too many people, so a two-fer. It was as I said the neatest thing we did the entire time. I am planning to get scuba cert'd and will scuba-dive next time, probably more than once! Loved IT! Can you tell?

It was amazing... We had such a great time.... But..... I do have to say something. When I booked I was told there would be transportation from ship to excursion site... Our ship Norwegian Sky was a little late in getting us off the ship and we had a VERY hard time finding the shuttle.. When we finally found the shuttle it was 30 minutes late... When we boarded the shuttle the young lady driving was very rude to us and extremely anoid with us...and made a comment of we where supposed to be there a long time ago. I was sooo worried we would not make the excursion... She was very rude... From that point once we started the excursion your staff was extremely friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip...

This was one of the most awesome things we have ever done. 8 of us took the Sub Adventure . The crew was very informative and helpful, they made you feel safe the entire trip. We took the adventure may 10, 2012 which was my birthday, couldn't think of anything else I would have wanted to do that day. I had 7 great friends and meet several other great people onboard. Thanks
