Meet your guide outside of St. Paul’s Chapel. Please note: You will not meet at the 9/11 Memorial or 9/11 Museum.
You'll visit St. Paul Chapel, New York City's oldest standing church. During the tragic days following the event, it served as a shelter for rescue workers to sleep and eat. The church experienced its own miracle on 9/11 when a fallen tree protected the building from the debris of the attacks. Take note of the iron fence on Broadway, which was plastered with missing posters of relatives.
Then, follow your guide to the 9/11 Memorial, where you’ll gain an understanding of the horrific events of 9/11. As you explore the site where the World Trade Center once stood, you’ll be captivated by real firsthand stories of 9/11 from your guide, who has a personal connection with that fateful day in New York City.
The 9/11 Memorial was built to honor the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The names of every victim of the attack are inscribed in panels alongside twin reflecting pools, spanning nearly an acre with the largest man-made waterfalls in North America. You'll have until 6pm to explore the memorial on your own.
9/11 Museum Upgrade: You can also upgrade to gain admission to the 9/11 Museum. Your guide will give a brief overview of what you can expect inside the museum, which opened in May 2014. The 9/11 Museum’s 110,000 square feet (10,219 square meters) of exhibition space is located within the archaeological heart of the World Trade Center site. The stories of the 1993 and 2001 bombings of the World Trade Center, and the people affected by the events, are told through multimedia displays, archives, narratives, and a collection of authentic artifacts. The monumental artifacts in the museum present the intimate stories of loss, compassion, reckoning, and recovery that are central to telling the story of the attacks and the aftermath.

The Wlking you was alright, we did not get to go in the church like we were supposed to, due in large part because of the tour guide, so it took away from the experience. After the walking tour we went into the museum by ourselves and that was very good and very sad at the same time. Then we went back to the church we meet up at. Ground zero and the museum are a must see, hopefully u will get a better tour guide.

This is well worth it and I read some of the reviews before hand and to have the Museum upgrade as part of the walking tour does indeed complete it. Very moving and Ray was great. Can identify with this as I was involved in the Victoria bomb disaster in the UK so it was a sensitive and positive walk and loads of information.

We had a lovely guide called Abbie who, although young, gave us a detailed and haunting insight in to what it must of been like on that day in Sep 01, we found her very moving. The memorial pools are beautiful and a wonderful tribute to all who lost their lives that day. The museum is filled with so many sad heartbreaking artifacts but also stories of courage and strength, a definite must if you are visiting NYC.

We booked a tour thinking that it would be more personal and immersive for our 12 year old son. The tour was good, but we probably could have done it just as well on our own. Guide was ok- he seemed somewhat nervous, seemed rehearsed instead of at ease. The information he provided was accurate, but not given in an engaging way. Museum is very well done!

Ray, our Guide, was excellent and described everything as it was on the day of the attack. He took us all around the surrounding areas and then to the memorial pools which were very interesting. We were glad we did not upgrade to the museum tour because you need time to go around the museum at your leisure. We did this on a separate occasion and it was so moving and brilliantly set out that we spent more than three hours in the museum alone.
