The Guggenheim Museum is wonderful, and this is not why I am rating it only 2 stars. It states, Skip the Line Access, when you purchase the Vouchers. We were not able to skip the lines. We had to stand in line, like everyone else, to get the tickets, as these are Vouchers only, and the tickets still need to be issued by the museum. We had the same situation at Guggenheim.

Museum was just so amazing!! Would recommend that the museum have a sign that we need to turn in our vouchers for a ticket, and must stand in line for that.

one of the best museum

Arrive early as the ticket you receive from Viator is only a voucher and you have to join the ticket office queue. Very busy with very loud school children - otherwise excellent.

The museum is great and beyond expectations. Definitely a must visit for anyone visiting new york but the stupidest thing is that you buy online ticket visa viator to get past the huge lines but we have to wait more than an hour to again exchange the voucher for a ticket which is beyond stupid and I never faced this type of thing while with viator when booking anything in Europe so!

We are not museum fanatics but this was still a very interesting part of visiting New York. Make sure you arrive early as the line ups can get long even at opening.

So much to see, in queue when doors opened and one of last out when doors closed, still did not see it all. Best bits for us - planetarium, dinos especially the titanosaurus, mummy exhibition, life in the oceans, planet earth and meteorites, butterfly exhibition walk into room with miriads of exotic flying butterflies. _br/_ The beat the queue ticket was wasted as there was no special counter for vouchers, still had to join the main queue for security and for collecting our tickets. Be ready to book the time slots for the planetarium, butterflies, mummies, Imax show. Imax show was a BBC TV film on flying with the birds, most of which we have seen in UK albeit on a smaller screen and we felt we could have better spent this time on other activities.

Absolutely loved visiting this Museum, we were there for over 5 hours but I honestly think you could spend even longer there. There are so many things to see and do, we would highly recommend. It's great for kids and adults and it's proximity to Central Park is great.

Too much to see and learn about. Go with a guide!

Review by:   Lynn P,    August 2017 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
We had a problem with our voucher We purchased one senior and two adult tickets. The voucher was just a bar code and when it was scanned at the museum it only showed one ticket. I was lucky that I brought along a copy of my receipt how many tickets I bought and amount paid or I would have not gotten my 3 tickets. I probably would not purchase from Viator again. I also think it would have been cheaper to purchase the tickets at the museum. We had to wait on the long line anyway. However the American Museum of Natural History is amazing as always. The Hayden Planetarium is world class. If you are going to all of the special exhibits one needs a minimum of two days.

We enjoyed spending the day at the museum. It is very very large so get a map. We loved the butterfly exhibit. It is amazing to see how far we as humans have come. There is a lot to see you could spends 2 - 4 hours depending on how time you have to spend. The new dinosaur exhibit on the 4th floor is amazing. I would recommend visiting the museum. It is near Central Park which is a plus.

Self guided tour, we just purchased the tickets. Well worth a visit and very interesting. Be careful if you are only in New York for a short period of time as you can easily spent a whole day here

I loved the museum, so much to see. I didn't like that we couldn't go into the mummy exhibit without paying extra.

Brilliant!_br/_ The place is full of amazing things to see and do. We booked our tickets in advance and paid for a couple of the extra areas and was not disappointed. A must see if you are in NY and a pleasant walk around the park after.

Review by:   Warren R,    January 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Bought these tickets hoping to avoid the ticket lines at the museum. WRONG!!! We had to wait in line with cash customers. It took us 45 minutes to get the tickets using the Viator voucher. I would suggest buying direct from the museum. USING VIATOR WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!

We spent the whole day in the Museum. Still didn't see everything. Will have to go back. Our favorite was Dark Universe. Awesome. Also I never knew there were so many types of gems. Incredible. Even the lunch we had there was excellent. _br/_ Srr

Great day out, saved a few pounds (mostly because exchange rate went up after I booked) and saved us a non sterling fee

Review by:   Chris Travel,    November 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Museum displays are great the tickets from Viator a complete waste of time. Even with a printed ticket you need to stand in this huge line and wait to exchange your Viator ticket for an actual ticket to the museum. Really bad experience and expect to wait another 30 mins to get this done. Employees at this museum have 0 personality, unhelpful and make a great place average. They need a VIP ticket friendly employees and a 2 hour must see suggested tour. Lost in what you should see.

Enjoyed it however would make sure that you allow plenty of time and suggest a guided tour in order you do not miss any parts of this huge museum.

Review by:   Lalka,    May 2016 Review: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended
The idea of having vouchers in our hands seemed very good, however, transforming these to the actual tickets to be able to enter the Museum was very painful because on that very busy and rainy Sunday, lines for vouchers only were very long and we spent over an hour standing on our feet and waiting. Once we got our tickets, we truly enjoyed the Museum and all the attractions it offered. By the way, we learned later that on the Museum Web side one can purchase actual tickets that would be sent to someone's I or smart phone.
