A very good tour with some fantastic views and great commentary but there are things you should know about this tour that almost ruined the whole booking for us_br/_ You are buying a voucher unless you print out the tickets and these have to be exchanged at the ticket office at Pier 83 before you can sail. These are no guarantee you can board the cruise if it is full._br/_ We turned up at 6.25 for a 7pm cruise and were about 20th in the queue - ultimately there were over 150 people behind us. I had only booked the tickets over the phone that morning and Viator called Cirle Line to confirm the booking could be made! AS we queued a school party turned up and boarded and then a further coach booking. We got to the front of the queue to be told we could not go onboard as the boat was believed full but they were just checking - at that point another 20 people with tickets in a party walked up and the security started to let them through! I complained and the security guilt told the ticket clerk to give us tickets dated the next day and allow us to be the last to board but the 150 people behind us were basically being told sorry come back another day - may like us were leaving New York the next day - the message at the ticket office was we wont refund you as its a voucher so you need to go back to the 3rd party booking agency _br/_ So make sure you have tickets and not a voucher and if you risk a voucher I would suggest getting to the ticket office by 6!_br/_ Viator really should make this clear when booking especially if you are doing it over the phone

Great way to see the skyline from the water, very pretty at night. We sailed under Brooklyn Bridge and right up to the Statue of Liberty. Food and drink is available to buy on board.

Anyone who is in New York City for the first time must take a harbor cruise at night! The views are spectacular but beware, you must dress warmly because it gets freezing cold outside. You have the option to remain inside the boat viewing the sights from your seat. Great for the whole family. Easy to reach Pier 83 train and/or bus. Enjoy dinner after at a local restaurant after your tour. If need, you can grab the M42 bus that picks passengers up in front of Cruise Line Tours. Again, do at least once in your life.

A great way to see the famous New York skyline and the Statue of Liberty at night. Amazing photo opportunities all backed up by a brilliant tour guide David who provided an comprehensive history and narrative with plenty of humour during the two hour cruise. Even the heavy rain did not ruin the night... plenty of warm and dry places to sit back and take everything in.

This was a very reasonable expense for an evening filled with history, entertainment and a smooth relaxing boat ride around the NYC area. I must be honest, is was a little too long for my liking, but thats just me. It was a bitter cold evening outside, but the inside of the vessel was toasty warm and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Beautiful night-time cruise which allowed a view of the Big Apple lit up in all its glory. Difficult to see the finer detail because of failing light. This was however more than compensated for by being able to see the Statue of Liberty, One World Trade Centre, the Chrysler Building and other notable landmarks from far away enough to be able to appreciate their size, proportions and attractiveness. The commentary on the boat was very jovial but also very informative at the same time. The waters were calm and the evening was mild to windy September. Refreshments on board were not as easy to get as one would have expected but being sat in the Premium seats meant that the on board hostess made sure that we were adequately watered._br/_ Overall, a very pleasant experience that I would recommend for a 'wind down' after a hectic day or set of days. This trip adds a calming effect to the whirlwind nature of what most visits to New York turn out to be. Do it!

The night time 2hr cruise was fabulous. To see the NY skyline in the dark, all lite up, was a brilliant sight._br/_ The boat took us so close to The Statue of Liberty too, we got some amazing photos._br/_ I loved the idea of making the booking through Viator, the trip was paid for before we went on the holiday plus we paid in GBP, so we knew exactly what the cost was._br/_ We made other bookings through Viator too.

This was a great trip but not really at sunset in July - too early! But it was a lovely boat ride and the guide was informative and funny. _br/_ The worst thing was getting on the boat. We booked via the internet and thought the receipt on the phone would suffice but no. We had to join a VERY long line of people queuing up to get tickets. Not a good system.

The cruise was fantastic, very informative about the area, the only thing I had a problem with is that I got one rum and Pepsi and they charged me 17.00 dollars, that is real steep for a 4oz beverage that had about .2oz of alcohol!! In my book that is highway robbery!!

I had been recommended this tour by a work colleague and I am glad she told me about it. This was a really interesting and picturesque tour. Seeing New York illuminated at night is spectacular.. The commentary was interesting and enlightening. We went on Earth Hour day so had the illuminated Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building and then the Earth Hour view when the lights on the torch of the Statue of Liberty and the top of the Empire State Building were turned off. The only downside of this tour was that it was a very cold evening in March, but I appreciate the weather is not controlled by Viator so all in all a really good tour which I would recommend.

Fabulous tour of the famous sights, all done on an evening cruise on the Hudson and East river. This was a great opportunity to see the Manhatten skyline as never before and you get a real sense of the scale of New York City. The guide was super knowledgeable and the two and a half hours is perfect to see everything. It was a particular treat to get up close to the state of Liberty from both sides! Fully recommend this great value tour, you won't be disappointed!

Very flat and impersonal tour. _br/_ We did a harbor night lights tour 7 years ago and it was so much more fun! Less people on the boat and a real connection with the guide. This year, this tour, was boring !
