Compared to the chaos of Time's Square, this was a good option. The view of the fire works is wonderful, but it was about 12 degrees outside. We also had to deal with a near fight, as folks were drinking too much. Still fun however and if you happen to be in NYC on New Year's, it's a good deal.

We had so much looked forward to this trip and in the end queued up for over 1 hour to get on the boat,to be extremely disappointed with the whole excercise._br/_ The boat was over full and whilst the view of New York from The Hudson was spectacular - there was nothing happening on board the boat._br/_ Some hand out food was just average._br/_ Midnight came and midnight went with no Count Down or fanfare @ Midnight._br/_ Fireworks commenced away to our left 3 minutes before Midnight and @ Midnight other Fireworks started about 10/15 kms away @ least and were average @ best._br/_ A very packed boat with a very high price and no where near the value espoused or promised.

Even though we purchased tickets for a specific date, when we got to the meeting point there tons of people there and we still had to stand in line about 30 minutes. We were then told it's first come first serve and the bus was full and we would have to come back 'tomorrow'.

It was overpriced, the food was cold and scarce; lines were long for the bar and seats were very hard to come by. The windows fogged up so much it was not possible to see the sights, which was the whole point of the trip. I would not take this trip again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Also, you really should provide bus transportation back to central locations in the city. There are NO cabs to be found after the cruise, and we had to walk back to our hotel. Obviously you know there are no cabs at that time of night on New Year's Eve, and you should either tell customers that or provide a bus.

This tour was OK. We had a great time being on board and the sights were amazing. There were not enough chairs for everyone to sit down inside and there were not enough appetizers, either. All that my boyfriend and I got to eat was one mini-dumpling each. With less passengers aboard this would have been much more fun!

The cruise itself was amazing, the views of NYC, the Statue, the fireworks, the drinks - all perfect! _br/_
Wrap up warm though as it is pretty chilly out there and it took us almost an hour to board._br/_

Great way to spend new years, had to line up with my Viator confirmation to get a ticket first which took some time, boarding several boats took a while as well which was time out in the cold and not spent drinking, once on the open bar was great and we'll stocked, music was average.

I do not recommend using Circle Line NYE cruise! It was extremely cramp inside the ship with little room to move. If you are waiting in line for drinks, you'll be blocking passengers to look out of the boat and few exchanges of words will happen. If you're hungry, cold chicken wings will be availab

Excellent choice especially getting away from Times Square area on Hogmanay! The only comments that I would make would be about the food - could have announced when ready! Music- speakers on outside deck would have been good. Overall excelllant night and a great way to bring the New Year in!

My husband and I had a wonderful new year's eve. The firework at the statue of liberty was incredibly beautiful, the atmosphere on board really great. It was nice that the let us board one hour earlier so we did not have to wait in the cold. Drinks and music were nice, but we did not like the food.

The disco had a monosalabic beat and New Year came and went in a flash. a_br/_
quick verse of old lang syne and back to the beat. Fireworks , the boat was bow on_br/_
so making it hard to see the display._br/_

The New York sky line and fire works at the Statue of Liberty were spectacular five star._br/_
However the disco was too loud and played some obscene songs. The food was sparse and there was an enormous queue for the bar. The DJ did not start the New Year count down until five secs before New Year so the build up was somewhat lost. I think the champayne was wine and lemonade and this was not given to us just left on the table for us to collect and was unanounced.I accept that on New Year things are a bit more expnesive but I would have paid more for better quality food, drink, entertainment and seating with a table I wasn't expecting the seating to be in rows. In short the idea, lcocation and fire works were absolutley amazing. The food,drink, facilities and atmosphere was basic.

Arrived early and were boarded promptly, having extra time cruising. There were lots of people on board, line up for the bar was lenghty. We wondered why there were a couple of under 18s on board, when it was advertised as an over 18 cruise. The weather was good and the fireworks excellent.

This was a superb way to spend New Years Eve, it was our first time in New York for New Years and experienced some of the craziness of Times Square, but this was a much more relaxed, fun way to enjoy. Superb value for money, as much food and drink you could wish for (not to mention the warmth - which you don't have on Times Square!). Staff all very nice and friendly.

I booked this activity after seeing lots of good reviews from previous years and was not disappointed. The whole night was very well organised, excellent value for money and a highly enjoyable evening. We had no problem in getting chairs, whilst it says the boat wouldn't leave until 10pm, we were already cruising by 9pm. We had minimal queues for drinks and there was a great atmosphere on the boat. Views up on the deck were great and seeing the fireworks at midnight was a real highlight! There was a great mix of people on the boat and music was played in the lower deck. Overall, a fantastic experience that myself and my friends all enjoyed which I fully recommend!

initially bit of a 'free for all' when we boarded the boat - there were no tables or chairs out - we simply had to grab a folding chair and find a space! However, the staff were great, the DJ was fabulous, the buffet was lovely and the view of the fireworks over the Statue of Liberty utterly amazing

You needed more bar staff as it took 30 minutes to get a drink all night. I was surprised to see children on a trip which had an 18 age limit on it. The music was terrible and all the same apart from about 20 minutes of oldies which actually had people dancing. We could have been nearer the firework

I'll be honest, when we arrived for the cruise I wasn't too sure about it as there was a massive queue waiting to get on what looked like a large tug ! However my concerns were unfounded - there were several boats laid on and actually they were all decorated nicely. Once we got away, there was a bit of a queue for drinks earlier on in the evening, but they certainly weren't tight with the alcohol ! We could have drunk a whole lot more but to be honest I didn't want to ruin the experience - and what an experience. We were lucky to have a clear and not too cold evening and the Manhattan skyline looked amazing. Even better was mooring up right next to the Statue of Liberty at midnight and watching the Ellis Island fireworks. Something I will never forget I can tell you. Regarding the cruise itself, the boat was fine and not too crowded and the staff were great. As I said, you could probably have had as any drinks as you wanted as there were plenty left at the end, although I should also mention that it never got too rowdy and it was a nice mix of ages and nationalities on there. God know what a three hour NYE cruise with an open bar in the UK would be like - carnage I expect ! Just one other thing to mention, you'd be VERY lucky to get a taxi anywhere after midnight on New Year's eve - we saw loads of people unsuccessfully trying to get them and we ended up walking back from the pier to East Village. All in all a great night and a great experience ! Would recommend it to anyone going to NYC for NYE.

Very good trip. Fortunately the weather was relatively mild as there was not sufficient space inside the boat for all the people and so quite a few had to sit in the 'open' deck areas. All drinks were included at the free bar and the measures were very generous. Quite large queue though, but at least that stopped people from drinking too much. A good supply of various party foods kept appearing.

What a superb way to spend new years eve..id do it again tomorrow!! It was well organised, plenty of drink and food, staff very friendly and mix of music. Make sure you leave early to get there though due to road closures around Times Square on NYE. Its right at the end of 42nd st, easy to find and walkable, just, from 1st Avenue. The only good thing about this trip is the fireworks by the lady liberty, other than that it was a completely disaster. If you like to wait 40 minutes in line for a drink, fight for a folding chair to be able to sit,and have to chase the waitress for a piece of appetizer then this is the trip for you. I guess you get what you paid for, the entire trip I was beating myself for choosing this cruise instead of the pricier one that i'm sure at least it would have decent seating for us. next year i will make sure to stay away from this cruise.

The staff were rather slow in serving at the bar and the canapés never quite made it to where we were. The sights were amazing.it's a pity our boat didn't get nearer to the firework display as we were too far away and at the wrong angle to get a good view.

Plenty of booze/food for everyone. Good variety aswell. Boat nicely decorated and fun party favours. Friendly staff and good value for money. Downsides were long queues for the ladies, there should be a speaker on deck so you can hear new Year count down down whilst watching fireworks and the music got a bit happy hardcore at times. Overall a really good option for New Years Eve in New York - Definitely beats standing in time square freezing!!

This was one of the best decisions we have made on holiday! If you are heading to New York for Hogmanay you must do this trip. It's amazing to be looking on Manhattan with the fireworks going off and the the view you have - quite emotional. It was one of the best new year eve celebration's I had in many many years. Me, my wife and friends had a great time on the cruise. The food was good, the music was great and we had a nice time dancing all night. The view of NYC with all the fire works from the open deck was something to remember for a long long time. The only we issue we had was getting a taxi back to grand central to go back to CT. I will def recommend this to everyone who wants to have fun on the new year's eve. Def worth the money!!!!!

We were a family of three, my wife, my daughter and myself. First visit to New York. We were so pleased not to be queueing in Times Square to be seeing in the New Year. It was very cold and to get any sort of view you would have to be there by lunchtime. After a slowish start with the bar service being a little disorganised and the staff not really switched on it turned into a great night. As much drink as you want, great music and fantastic fireworks. There could have been more food and by allowing people to place their own chairs it became a little difficult for the waiters to actually reach certain groups of people with the trays of food, by the time they arrived it had virtually disappeared. All in all a good time was had.
