Our tour guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable about the various neighborhoods in Brooklyn we visited, as well as the 7 venues we visited to try the local flavors. Our favorite stop was the Farmacy, for an authentic egg cream. We highly recommend this tour.

We covered a lot of ground on the tour and the guide kept us entertained with history in between venues. The tour was well organised and food was waiting for us when we arrived at each stop.

This was a great tour to take on a sunny afternoon in Brooklyn. Our tour guide, Greg, was very informative and a great clear speaker. I and all of my party were full after the tour even with the walking. There was a lot more stops than expected and very generous samples sometimes full size items were given by all the friendly store owners! I will be sure to recommend this to anyone going to NY in the future!

This was a very adventurous tour of quaint Brooklyn. John our tour guide was very informative and his passion for the local flavors came through as he guided us to several local establishments offering us wonderful tastes of their wares. Each place has a story That John vividly shared. The selected stops were diversed. Plan to wear good Walking shoes because part of this tour takes you through the various parts of Brooklyn. Great for adults because there is a beer tasting stop. Not interesting enough for young children. Put this tour on your must dolist.

Our guide Alex was great he took the time to really give us the origin of all the places we visited. They were places the normal tourist would probably never consider going to, from bakeries, cookie shop, middle eastern grocery stores, drug stores and coffee shops. All the tastings we had were great as well, also the workers at each of these places were very nice. Alex is the guy that will give you a great tour.

Tour was very good. It was just the two of us on the tour so it was easy to hear the guide. Not sure if there was less info given on history of the area because there was less change in the makeup of the area. the history was not as detailed as other tours _br/_ Guide was very friendly and food good

My wife and I were part of a group of 8 friends who thoroughly enjoyed this tour led by our guide Joe. The tour takes you to local mom and pop places which adds to the charm of this part of Brooklyn. We were told about that place, the history of that area and you taste great food. Loved this tour.

Led by Joe Minchik, this walking tour is a great experience providing a good balance between history and food as you walk back through_br/_ time in an area that played a key role in the Revolutionary War and today is a showcase for neighborhood gentrification that is igniting a renewed interest and respect for home grown artisans. One sees first-hand how old is becoming new again! You soon learn that lessons experienced in Brooklyn are recycle and rehabilitate the buildings you have and attract locals that invest in apartments and businesses to make Brooklyn great again. Food samples provided at the nine establishments visited are ample and highlight best practices and premier ingredients in food preparation.

This was a great tour, we lucked out as there were only two of us on the tour, but having said that Josh our guide was as we say in English the bees knees. He's a great guide giving just enough info to not sound like a teacher and always talking at you, but any question you had he knew his stuff, on top of that he was just a great friendly guy, if you get Josh you are sure to have a great tour. The tour itself in mega interesting stopping at 9 interesting gourmet places in cool Brooklyn !!!_br/_ Highly recommend it as a great break from the hustle and bustle of Manhatten

This was one heck of a walking tour. Allison our guide was absolutely fabulous. Her knowledge of Brooklyn and the local food establishments was amazing. Would certainly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about and tasting the local foods but about the place as well. Great afternoon spent roaming the streets with plenty to munch on and drink along the way.

We went on the tour with Allison and this tour was fantastic!!! She was extremely knowledgable and educated about Food and History. We have been on many food/walking tours and this really was the best because of the tour guide and because they took us to so many great places and the food was wonderful. The portions were very large so come hungry. This differed from prior tours we have taken because this tour company believes in paying for all the tastings so they are not giving you tiny tastings that the restaurants give you for free. You really get a lot. I would highly recommend this tour - you learn so much about the history of the area.

Joe was a great guide - very friendly and very knowledgeable about local food/history! I liked that many of the shop owners were eager to tell us the stories of how they got started in the specialty food business. A few of the older shops those that have been around for 50 years didn't seem quite as welcoming to our group.

The guide was charming and enthusiastic. It was great to learn about Brooklyn's arquitechture too. Food, however, was a little less than we expected.

Definitely recommend this tour to people who wish to gain an appreciation of the Brooklyn culture, its people, food and architecture. Our guide Anna, was a trained chef and understood the nuances of the food culture of Brooklyn. It was great value for money, as we literally ate the whole tour cheese, meat, bread, cakes, coffee, tea and a visit to a soda fountain.

I really enjoyed this tour. I got to see a really cool part of Brooklyn, Carrol Gardens, that as a tourist I probably would never otherwise get to. The food and drinks were tasty, but even better was the stories that went with the places we visited. We heard some really interesting and personal stories from the owners and really got a good appreciation of their passion for their food and/or shops and the local community. Joe the tour guide was very knowledgeable of the places we went to and also passionate about the community and supporting local businesses. Thanks Joe. There was a good and friendly mix of people on the tour. Being a walking tour meant that we were always on the go and seeing, tasting or learning something - not stuck in traffic between destinations. Highly recommended and will try other tours when next in NYC.

Terrific! Our guide Natalie was super. Loved her genuine enthusiasm for the people and the place. A thoroughly memorable and lasting experience! We we caught in a torrential downpour, but we ducked into a unsuspecting restaurant and were generously received. That's Brooklyn for you!

We absolutely loved the tour! Not only was our tour guide, Karen, fabulous...... the the other members of our group were interesting and social. We thought the info presented was informative plus we enjoyed the anecdotes Karen shared about the Brooklyn area. Of course the food and drinks were outstanding...we were sorry that we ate a bagel in the neighborhood before the tour.....Warn the tour members to "come hungry!" Next time we are in NYC we will book the Brooklyn Bridge tour with Karen! Thanks for the charming intro to Brooklyn and inspiring us to become "locovores!" Sincerely, Eric and Volena from Rochester, NY

My friend and I have been going to NYC every year at the same time for 16 years. We do a good tour every year so have experienced many different tours, tour guides and companies. This guide and tour company was one of the best. We had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and had a great relationship with everyone on the tour. We received very personalized treatment from everyone. I wouldn't change a thing about our tour and highly recommend it! We will be back on another of their tours next year.

Such a wonderful experience! We were late and assumed we had missed the whole experience, but when we arrived at the designated meeting place, they were still there chatting and enjoying the atmosphere of Stnky's Cheese! Thank you!! My first impression of Brooklyn -- "It's sooo quite". I felt like I was on a TV set. The neighborhoods are just like The Huxtables!. We walked to several family owned businesses - a pub, a cookie shop, a bakery. We had pork slidders where the sauce is made from scratch, and the coffee comes from the coffee bean roasting business on the next block. We went to the Italian pastry baker, got lemon drop cookies, and took them across the street to D'aminco's Foods and ate them with DAmico's fresh roasted coffee!! Where in the world can you buy food from one place, take it across the street to eat with their coffee?? Only in America - and Brooklyn. I loved this tour and would highly recommend it to everyone!
