New York City Chocolate Lover's Walking Tour

New York City, United States of America

Calling all chocolate lovers! This Manhattan tour takes you on a leisurely walk through the Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village to some of New York’s most decadent dessert boutique and chocolatiers. Enjoy eight tastings including chocolate truffles, cupcakes and macarons, and learn about the history of the shops and neighborhoods from your guide as you satisfy your sweet tooth. You’ll also receive discounts on any chocolate purchases you make!

Meet in front of Chelsea Market at your selected departure time. Your guide will then lead you on an easy walk through Manhattan's Meatpacking District and Greenwich Village to visit several popular and off-the-grid dessert boutiques and chocolatiers.

Pop into these local gems or enjoy your tastings on the go. Visit Manhattan's oldest chocolate house, Li-Lac Chocolates, for a taste of old-world recipes. Delight in the scrumptious almond bark that fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi deems 'incredible,' and step inside the quaint, unassuming Milk & Cookies Bakery for a warm, classic chocolate chip cookie.

Stop at Bisous Ciao for an elegant Parisian-inspired chocolate macaron handcrafted in the French tradition. Then, indulge with innovative chocolates at SoHo's posh Xocolatti's, which features daring flavors like white chocolate with mango and paprika. You'll visit all these places and more!

You’ll enjoy eight indulgent tastings in all including chocolate truffles, cupcakes, macarons, salty caramels and dark chocolate almond bark. Additionally, you'll receive discounts on any chocolate purchases you make, so don't hold back -- treat yourself!

Throughout your leisurely 2-hour walk, your guide will teach you about the history of the shops and neighborhoods. After satisfying your sweet tooth, you'll end back at Chelsea Market.

This tour never took place as the guide never showed up. Extremely disappointed. Besides, we tried to call the number given on the confirmation sheet and never could make contact. To say I was unhappy is an understatement!

One of the best! We were taken to 6 different chocolate stores, and tasting. I almost had a chocolate overdose! The guide was knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend the tour to visitors of NYC.

Great tour guide who knew lots of fun facts about the areas we walked around. More importantly, great chocolate! The samples were a good size. By the end of the tour, we were stuffed! Really worth the money, and was a fun afternoon.

Rubbish. Waste of money. 23 people on the tour limit of 20?, still too many only 6 tastings, and 4 of those were no more than you would have got walking in off the street. We weren't on the list but we're assured we were on the right tour maybe we weren't? the guide Brendan did no more than lead us from place to place with stops for info inbetween. At no time did he chat or engage with any of the 23 people. Only offered discount at last 2 stops by which time we had completely given up.

I have already answered your survey and tried to contact you several times. This tour NEVER took place! My husband and I waited 40 minutes and no guide came. We were in front of Chelsea Market and spoke to the security guard. He told us exactly where to stand and no one came. I tried calling the number on the reservation and there was no answer. I have asked my credit card company to get the 100 back.Your communication is abysmal. We gave up other plans for that day just to make the tour. Margaret Brady

Our tour guide Kyle was very enthusiastic sharing some interesting history of the area we walked through and the chocolate was delicious. A nice variety of chocolate stores/bakeries which I will visit again.

Tour guide fantastic but actual chocolate destinations fell short of expectations. Kyle our tour guide was very personable and his knowledge was great. Tour ran on time and we really enjoyed the experience. Our only comments were that there were potentially too many on the tour - around 15 and that the actual destinations were below average or below our expectations. The bar for us was pretty high though having done the same tour in Paris last September.

The tour was fun but not worth the money. Very few samples. Don't pay full price for the tour!

Tour was about what I expected. nothing very adventurous was tried. I did like the fact that I was able to purchase some chocolates to take home. Our guide Brendan had an average knowledge of the places we visited. No problems just meh.

You have to be a dark chocolate lover to enjoy this tour. Most tastings were of dark chocolate and there are plenty, 8 in fact . Lots of walking also. Samples were very small. Be prepared for lots of standing also. Able to purchase along the way

We booked the tour to do something different with our nieces who were visiting from out of state and we had a great time. This was a very enjoyable way of spending a few hours together leisurely walking around the city and learning a bit about the 8 different small shops we stopped at to enjoy everything from different chocolate candy, cupcakes, cookies, macarons, canoli, even a chance to get an old fashioned new york city egg cream! Marcy was a wonderful tour guide and was also very considerate of doing what she could to accommodate a gluten allergy which was very appreciated. I would highly recommend this tour.

Loved this tour, if you have a sweet tooth this tour is a must. Alex was a very entertaining and informative tour guide. He told us interesting information about chocolate and some history on various places we passed. The weather was great on the day we had the tour and the pace was good, you didn't feel rushed. My favorite places were Milk and Cookies and Xocolatti. When you walked into Milk and Cookies it smelled delicious....the scent of fesh baked cookies. The samples at Xocolatti were my favorite and I really liked the decor. The walls were lined with the green and black boxes they sell them chocolates in.

I felt for the money I spent I could have done it by myself. The chocolate was good, but for $50 a person I could have researched where the chocolatiers were and gotten a lot more chocolate just by buying what I wanted. The samples were small and some places they were just taken off the counter and not special for the tour participants.

Great walking tour with an appropriate amount of chocolate...we totally had enough by the end of the 8 stops. Very nice tour guides. My girlfriend loved it.

This was a very unique and fun tour to a part of the city that we had not visited before. Our tour guide knew quite a bit about each of the chocolate places we stopped. The pace was good for all types of walkers and the samples were excellent in both taste and portion. Many of the stores offered a discount if we made a purchase while there, so of course, we did buy some yummy chocolate to bring home!

It was lovely - started to snow just as we started the tour - but that just_br/_ added to the magic of the tour. Got to see some other areas of_br/_ New York (that you don't see on the bus tours). Guide (Jesse) an_br/_ absolute delight - it was my daughter's birthday and she phoned ahead and_br/_ the shop owner put a candle on the cake and the group sang_br/_ "happy birthday" - it really made her day. Many thanks.

We loved it! My friend who is a big NYC buff and has seen and done it all was celebrating her birthday and I stumbled on this and decided to go for it. She was thrilled and thought it was very unique. She even took notes on the historical anecdotes! When it gets warmer, I want to do it withidaughter

This was a great tour with our guide Alex giving us lots of information about the City so its not just about chocolate, although that was good. We tasted chocolate, cupcakes and cookies and had time to buy goodies if we wanted.

If you are a chocolate lover and are interested in learning about the Chelsea, Soho etc area of NYC then you must take this tour! We had an excellent guide (Keaton) who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area plus the history of each of the 8 shops that we stopped at. The samples were huge and delicious! We loved every minute of it, but wear walking shoes as we were on the move for almost 3 hours. Well worth the price.

This was a fun activity. We walked from the Chelsea Market through parts of little Italy and all around for 2 hrs. The guide was so informed about the various houses of chocolate that we visited and gave us interesting tales about the area we were in and even related much to the movies and TV shows filmed in that area. The only thing that was annoying was that you end up ending the tour away from where you began and if not familiar with NYC was uncertain as to how to get back to where we had started. It would have been nice to have been told that from the beginning or to have had the guide give a mini-map or walking instructions to take you from the last stop back to the first. We took the subway and that worked but clearly had no idea this was going to happen and it took away from the tour experience.

The tour guide was great, he was very knowledgeable and fun. I thought there were too many people on the tour. I did a similar tour in Paris and there were only 10 people, that was ideal, this one had 20 or more and it was too many people to manage which slowed things down too much. The food and places we visited were delicious and the discount given to the tour participants on purchases was fantastic.

It was a gorgeous day... a melt in your mouth kind of day. Our tour guide Alex was "choc" full of information about the neighborhoods and architecture of our walking journey. I am a total sweet tooth and found that as soon as my attention was starting to wander away from the tour... it was time for another tasting. I went with my friend and my daughter who is a starting freshmen at FIT. The walk gave us an idea of the neighborhoods surrounding Chelsea. We all can't wait to spend more time on Bleecker Street. As for the best sweet... too tough to call, but I do find myself longing for a Magnolia's cupcake.
