This tour was not as good as others we went on. The guide was insecure, continually walked up and down stairs of bus, and did not give clear directions when we got off the bus. We did not have guided walk around Wall Street, the South Sea Port, Grant's Tomb, or Little Italy as info said we would. We spent entirely too much time walking on the High Line!! Hearing the guide when we were off the bus was impossible very little effort was made by guide to keep the group together. Disappointed in this tour but pleased with others we took!

This is an excellent way to see the main sites of the city in 1 day. Our guide John was highly knowledgeable, mentioning many facts and stories including Movie and TV locations, the history of many buildings and parks and around the 9/11 Memorial. We especially enjoyed the boat trip on the river, riding under the Brooklyn Bridge and past the Statue of Liberty - Well worth paying extra for the Top of The Rock at the end of the bus tour where John checked us in and pointed us in the right direction for us to get to the top very quickly! Highly Recommend!

It was absolutely worth to have the one day unlimited 8 hour tour. We have enjoyed even the weather was not good. The final destination specially - Top of the rock is the best! Our special thanks goes to Tour manager Hemu Patel: we asked him to change our day tour for one day earlier booked the tickets in advance and he tried his best to do it through communicating with the Grey line. Although the bus is not even half full, but it seemed not easy to change. So we appreciate the effort made by the manager. It was money worth spending. We recommend!!

Probably the best deal to see NYC when you only have one day. The boat cruise is wonderful. I would add one or two more opportunities to get off the bus. Just a little too much sitting on the bus.

This is one of our favorite tours of New York. Whether during Christmas season or during the summer, the tour is fantastic. The tour, done through Grey Line bus tours, gives a good overview of New York and you see much more than you would without a guided tour. Carefully read the description of the tour as most things are seen from the bus. There are a few stops such as at the 9/11 memorial. We purchased the extra 2 hours for the top of the rock view from Rockefeller Center only to find out that we were merely dropped off at that location when the 6-hour tour ended. Upon entering Rockefeller Center, we found that the next available time to view was more than two hours away and, since we had show tickets for that might, we were unable to go to the top of Rockefeller Center and had to find our own way back to the hotel. We've used viator tours in several countries all with excellent guides but the guide in New York was not good at all. I believe his name was Cary, an older man. If you book this tour, be sure that you ask,ahead of time who your guide will be. He told personal information about his life growing up in New York rather than giving more information about the sites. His use of the phrase, true story, after nearly every sentence during the day was getting on everyone's nerves and he needs a clip on microphone as he kept forgetting to hold the microphone near his mouth. The bus is a double-decked with an open top which is great for viewing in nice weather like we had in Sept. but could be miserable in hot or cold weather.

Our recent tour New York City Guided Sightseeing Tour by Luxury Coach was by far the worst tour we have experienced, we give this tour 0 stars. On arriving at the meeting point we were herded around like cattle, Darius our immature guide had begun talking about our days tour before everybody had arrived, he then walked us over a busy NY road not waiting or watching to see if it was safe for all of us to cross the road, his immaturity and lack of concern for slower members of the group continued throughout the day, we then boarded a hop on hop off double decker bus! Know Luxury Coach!! The seats were hard with know seat padding, the head sets when they decided to work were crackling and when we were able to hear Darius through the head sets he was either singing, telling pathetic jokes or talking about himself. Through the whole 6 hour tour we learnt absolutely nothing about New York, at a cost of just under 200 for 4 adults, this was a complete waste of time and money, so much so we had booked a Viator tour for the following day to The Statue of Liberty Tour and Ellis Island we decided not to bother with this tour.

We booked the 8 hour trip which included a visit to The Rock after the main tour finished. Do not add this option on to your tour. When we got dropped there after the main 6 hour it was a 2 hour wait to go up. This isn't really a good way to call it an 8 hour tour to have 2 hours waiting in line. We ended up going first thing the next day as you do have the tickets at least, however this won't work for people who don't have the extra time in NY. Tour guide was knowledgeable.

A very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend our first morning in New York, following an exhausting day travelling to USA. An ideal tour to help understand the geography of New York, which assisted us plan the remaining 3 days of our visit. It was great to see sights only previously seen on tv and movies. Whilst he was cheerful and entertaining, some information given by our guide was incorrect. e.g he believed Alice in Wonderland was written by Roald Dahl, but overall an enjoyable experience.

This tour will show you so much about the city! It is a long day but we saw so much, and the harbor ferry ride was very nice! Nana, our guide, was funny and nice, and patient. He seemed to know much about the city. We were very happy to have spent the day touring the different neighborhoods and felt the tour was worth the cost. We would highly recommend.

Recently I booked a Guided Sightseeing Tour by Luxury Coach in English. It was a 4hr tour of NYC._br/_ I have not been impressed at all:_br/_ . The Luxury Coach was a double-decker bus the red one...Is that what you call Luxury Coach?_br/_ . The guide spoke mainly in Spanish because there were more Spanish people on board than English speaking guests - not fair since the tour was specifically meant to be in english_br/_ . The explanations of the guide were always off to the sites to look at_br/_ . No time for taking pictures or look at the highlights of NYC_br/_ Well, I will certainly not book any more tour with Viator if it is the type of service guests are getting._br/_ On top, the tour costed a lot of money. _br/_ I would not recommend the tour more so Viator in New York City._br/_ An experienced traveller!

Our van was totally full- we got stuck at back and had to take the seats across the back. They and #39;re about 3/4 the size of all the other seats and they sat up so high you couldn and #39;t see out the windows!! Got a verbal tour of New York but couldn and #39;t see a thing- do the open top bus instead! Guide was great

This is an excellent trip.Our guide Laurel is a New Yorker so full of interesting stories apart from all that we saw.We walked,went on a cruise and on and off our little bus.It would be impossible to do and see so much on your own and it was a great way to find our bearings.We finished at the top of the rock as the sun set which was quite beautiful.Would highly recommend

The tour guide was this old man who was only interested in telling us about a couple of churches and who the architect was for a few residential apartment blocks.His accent was very strong so it was also hard to understand him...I think they should have younger more vibrant people conducting this tour._br/_ It was extremely boring...We didnt stop at any iconic spots, other than the 9/11 memorial for about 15mins._br/_ The ferry ride out to the Statue of Liberty was great , and going up the Rockafeller centre to the Obsevatory decks at the end of the tour was also fabulous.

We had a very disappointing, bad experience. First the tour was an hour late leaving. Some of this I understand was due to heavy traffic, but we should not have been asked to stay out in the very cold windy weather. The guide was nice, but his delivery was very bad, and none of the 4 of us could understand what he was saying. Often we did not know what we were seeing. This was a very bad Friday 13th.

Fairly comprehensive tour. Traveled many streets, but traffic caused us to become behind schedule. I booked the 8 hour tour, thinking it would allow us to experience NYC, but it was just a minibus traveling throughout the city. We didn't even go by Madison Square Garden, Greenwich Village was barely mentioned, lunch was rushed which was NOT included, only drove by the World Trade Center, did not drive by, much less get out, at Wall Street. Tour guide was knowledgeable, but I wanted to be able to get out and take pictures of historic tourist sites. The whole tour was a rush, rush, rush!!! Would NOT recommend this tour at all.

The size of the bus and the itinerary were good. However, two areas detracted from our tour experience. Following the instructions provided with the reservation, we arrived at the Gray Line Terminal over 30 minutes prior to the tour to pick up our tickets. We were then escorted over to a Sprinter van which was already full except for the back row. The back row had very restricted visibility out the side windows because the top of the side windows was below one's eye site. Not being able to see most of the sites described by the tour guide defeated the purpose of the tour. The second area detracting from the quality of the tour was lunch. According to the tour's description, lunch was included. The tour guide stated that lunch was not included, with the reason given that the quality previously provided was not that good anyway, and the absence of lunch allowed for more time visiting the sites of NYC. We really did not care about eating lunch anyway, but later in the tour we had over an hour of free time in a food court and not touring NYC. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, but complained on the side a lot about people not keeping up with him or being late after free time - no one on our tour was late, and the tour guide's complaining detracted from his general good knowledge of NYC.

I gave this one star for the boat trip or I wouldn't have give any stars at all._br/_ We have been to New York a few times and wanted a different experience, so we booked this tour. We were very disappointed. The organisation was poor, no one seemed to know who was on the minibus. The guide was not very good, he didn't give us very much useful information. We stopped at a few very random places around the city. You can't see any of the landmarks, as the mini bus has very dark and small windows._br/_ I would not recommend this tour, stick with the hop on hop off bus tours. You see more, more info and cheaper. Don't waste your day on this tour!
