New York Harbor Hop-on Hop-off Cruise including 9/11 Museum Ticket
New York City, United States of America
Take the express route to the new National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City on a one-day hop-on-hop-off cruise through New York Harbor. Your hop-on hop-off ticket is valid for one day and includes timed admission to the 9/11 Museum, located within the archaeological heart of the World Trade Center site. The museum, containing over 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, tells the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. Intimate stories of loss, compassion and recovery are presented and the lives of every victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks commemorated.
Outside you will find the twin reflecting pools of the 9/11 Memorial, inscribed with the names of the nearly 3,000 victims of the terror attacks. The reflecting pools, nearly an acre in size, feature the largest man-made waterfalls in North America and sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood.
After departing from Pier 79 in Midtown, the cruise will stop at World Financial Center, a short walk from the National September 11 Museum, where you have timed admission. Inside the museum, you'll have unlimited time to browse the exhibits before rejoining your cruise. In addition to the 9/11 Museum, this exciting tour gets you close to such iconic sites as the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and Governors Island, just to name a few!
Your hop-on hop-off ticket is valid for one day, allowing you to design your own sightseeing itinerary for your trip to the Big Apple. Hop on and off as often as you want, and enjoy informative and amusing commentary as you go! The boats will give you up-close views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge many more New York City sights.
By traveling around the city on the cruise, you’ll beat the infamous New York traffic and enjoy easy access to hundreds of sites like the 9/11 Memorial Memorial, Chelsea Piers, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, Times Square, DUMBO and Williamsburg. Boats depart regularly throughout the day from six stops (see Itinerary section below for stops) so you can plan your day around your sightseeing!
This tour was excellent right from the start from stepping onto the water taxi. The tour guide was friendly, engaged the crowd really well, was very informative and made you feel really good! Having the entry into the 9/11 museum was an added bonus. The museum was very interesting and probably the highlight of the day. To have the museum ticket included on the package, i would definitely recommend this tour. The photo opportunities at the Statue of Liberty were great with the skipper turning the boat so people on both sides of the boat had opportunities to take photo's.

I am a New Yorker visiting from the West Coast where I now live. What I liked most of all was being on the spectacular Hudson looking at how the Jersey shore is rivaling Manhattan's. It puts you right off without the subway and a long walk to get to the Museum. Easy Peasy

Every citizen and or visitors to NYC should see the 911 memorial. It is tastefully done but still tells you the whole story of what happened. Going down and down underground set the tone for the whole experience.

9/11 museum portion of tour which I paid for was not available until late in the day even though I was there to check in for boat trip before first boat of the day.

We were lucky with a warm, beautiful day in November. The ferry was comfortable and spacious. 9/11 Museum is a definite must see but very emotional.

Everyone should see this amazing exhibit!

This tour was not worth the money charged by _br/_ viator. The boat trip was okay, but you could hardly hear the tour guide over the voices of the tourists, as he described the scenes. The computers were down when we arrived at the pier, so we had to pay for our 911 Museum tickets twice. Stop 3 was not available.

Me and my two adult sons did this tour in January. Believe it or not we actually had great weather. A tad cold, but a beautiful, sunny day! Purchased through TripAdvisor for a very fair price we felt like we couldn't go wrong. Starting at pier 79. The ticket agents were extremely helpful as the tickets say accepts e-ticket we didn't print our tickets out. Be sure to go to the ticket booth upon arrival to exchange your vouchers for actual tickets.I recommend printing your vouchers ahead of time as they want the printed copies. They took a picture of the voucher from their personal cell phone since at that point we had no way to print. The water taxi was a typical water taxi, nothing fancy, but it was comfortable and not crowded. The guide was knowledgeable and pointed out landmarks along the way, she was helpful in letting people know what was at each stop. We exited at the 911 Memorial with plans to do the memorial museum and come back to the Taxi for more touring however we loved the 911 Memorial, museum and surrounding area so much we actually spent the rest of our day there. The museum is a beautiful tribute to the people and the families that lost lives and had lives changed forever on September 11. It's obviously a very somber place. A time for reflection. The volunteers at the museum are also very knowledgeable and helpful. I also recommend going to the top of the 1 World Trade Center!

Great way to see the highlights of the city if you have limited time._br/_ The 9/11 museum is a must if you are visiting New York but you will need at least 2 1/2 hours to see it all.

As my husband is an ex firefighter this was a must for us. Very reflective. Even if you have an entry time still be prepared to queue. Our entry time was 12 and we got in at just turned 1.

If you are limited for time this is an excellent way of seeing some iconic sights. Once on the harbour taxi you get an expert commentary so you don't miss anything. _br/_ Dropping off at Battery Park there is a 5-10 min walk to the memorial and museum. Be prepared for an emotional couple of hours, No jingoism, just an incredibly tasteful account of an horrendous day and account of the hours, days and months that followed. You cannot class this as enjoyable, but we still count it as the most memorable part of our visit. _br/_ Walking down Wall street we rejoined the taxi to continue sightseeing. Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island and Lady Liberty with a stop for photos and a history lesson, very good. Your ticket is valid for the whole day so I would advise getting there as early as you can to fit as much as you want into your day.

It was a great experience but having only 2 boats getting off made the waits long to get back on the boat. The tour guide was informative. Felt sorry for the staff as some of your customers got very irrate with them over the waits._br/_ The 9/11 museum was very chiling but not what I expected, as we had previously done the walking tour when the museum was not open. I found the walking tour more personal and very informative.

Water taxi is great idea but we did not get off on every pier. It was impossible to see and to get back to pier on time. We picked 3 piers.

The water taxi was great! We stopped at the Greenwich Village for lunch before doing the 9/11 museum tour. Took the water taxi again and got off Battery park for the 9/11 museum. The museum is definitely worth it, very moving make sure you allow another activity to lift your spirits up after the tour. We hopped back to the water taxi and completed all the stops. Overall, the experience was great.

The 9/11 Museum was moving and sobering. Not to be missed. However, getting there in the Hop-on-Hop-off was not good. Viator listed a 10:45 am departure time and an entrance time into the Museum at 12 pm noon. We purchased this tour and had a voucher for the water taxi, with a note to be at the pier at least 15 minutes prior to departure time and the museum entrance. My husband and I were there in plenty of time. The problem arose we we found out that THERE IS NO 10:45 water taxi departure time. There was a 10 am taxi and the next would be at 11:30 am. This meant we had to waste time waiting at the pier and risked not getting into the museum at our appointed time. _br/_ The walk from the Battery Park pier to the museum is at least 10 to 15 min. When we docked at Battery Park we rushed to get to the museum because we were already late. We were greeted by very long lines but with some pleading we did get in. _br/_ According to the transportation people we spoke with, Viator has been told to update their information about departure times. The day was almost ruined.
