Great cruise! You are presented with amazing views of the Manhattan coastline, finishing with the statue of liberty at the end then cruising around under the Brooklyn bridge. The tour guide had a great ability to tell stories and hold his audience captive, and I was a fan of all the numbers and statistics he was telling us. Both sides of the boat get a good view of the statue - the boat cruises past slowly on its starboard side, then turns around and lets everyone on the left to take snaps so no need to run around the boat! Definitely a great tour to look back on the city. I also didn't think it was required to get off at Liberty Island not on this tour - you get an amazing view of the statue on this tour!

Arrived early, no clear signs as to where we'd to go for our particular cruise, Went to ask in the only kiosk and did not see the evening tour listed, nearest was the night cruise which is what we got. Was informed to go to the end of the pier and wait. No boat like the one advertised on the Viator page, it was a smaller yellow one like the water taxis. By the time we were finally allowed to board it was actually dark so the views were purely of New York lit up whichalthough was amazing to see but not what we were expecting and definitely not so great for photographs. The tour guide was informative but the boat itself was rather shabby, the windows especially were dirty so again not ideal for taking photographs, yes there was an small upstairs seating area but that was very crowded. All in all very disappointed as we expected from the description of the cruise to leave in daylight and return as the light turned to night and that way we would get the best of both. Thankfully we'd also booked the hop on hop off bus which included some bonus tickets one of which was a sightseeing ferry which ran hourly every day and we were able to do a much more enjoyable trip for free! and see everything with that.

Tour at night was great. Can sit inside or outside. Enough room for all. Beverages can be purchased along the way. Seeing the city and Statue of Liberty at night was amazing. The announcer was great, he explained everything and we learned a bit of history too.

Get there early and get a side seat, and bring your prescription glasses I forgot and even binoculars. It's so nice to see all the sights at night. Very cool. Take a trip like this early on, and a bus tour too, that way you get to know the layout of NYC and can use your time there wisely.

My family and I enjoyed the tour however, we could barely make out anything tour guide said. It could have been do to where we were seated on lower level, not sure. Tour did also leave about 20mins late but we all want to do again.

Contrary to what the ticket say, you MUST have a printed ticket, and you can't use an electronic one. The tour was beautiful, but there were a lot of missed opportunities by the guide to be telling us about landmarks and history along the way. It's not an expensive ride, so I'd still recommend it. You'll need to allow for a lot more walking to get to the boat than you expect - the directions make it seem like it's pretty close to the Metro - it's not. Lastly, it's very clear than no one who works there has any ability to move suggestions up to the management. When I suggested to three different positions that they take off the electronic ticket accepted from the electronic ticket, each of them said they had no control and couldn't do anything about it.

we just arrived at the time stated on the ticket - it says arrive at ... hours, not that the boat leaves at ... hours just to find out that they pulled the access bridge about 2 min before the time. I was waving from near distance and even they saw us they still pulled the access bridge. I showed them the time on the Watchtower clock showing they were ahead of time. It was freezing cold!!!!! and we had to wait for at least 1 or 1 1/2 hour in the opened space with freezing weather. I wanted to cancelled the tickets but they did not allowed me, only to change the time for the next one. Not friendly at all but rather a bit rude through out the process. Will not use this company again

We had a great time on our cruise. Even thought it was a little chilly, we sat on the top to get the best view. The tour guide did a great job giving us information about what we were seeing and he was funny! The captain made sure that both sides of the boats passengers had a good chance to get pictures. The length of the cruise was just right.

This was a waste of time, money, and patience. We got the tickets for the ride the night after new years so it was packed and we had to rush to the dock because of all the people. Once we got there we went to stand in line to get our tickets scanned. We finally get to the ticket scanner and he says, Oh you have to go back to the ticket booth to get this switched out because this is just a voucher for real tickets. So we SPRINT back to the booth because the boat is leaving in about 10 minutes. Get to the booth and there's about 20 other people there with the same issue and they weren't giving anyone tickets because it was a first come first serve basis and they were already full. Which wasn't mentioned by Viator So we were screwed because our only other option was to come back the next night and try again but we were leaving NY the next day so that was a no go. As you can imagine, I was extremely displeased. Never using these 3rd party ticket sites again.

It was really good and I'd recommend it to others. The champagne was about what you'd expect for free, but the tour guide was pretty funny and the tour does take you up to the statue. Also - they were unloading some beers for prices that you rarely see in NYC. 2 each for a variety of fall-themed cans of beers nothing like a Sam Adams Oktoberfest in January!.

Seeing the statue at night was cool. But the cruise was over sold, so not enough seats inside. Therefore we were forced to sit outside in the freezing cold. We requested to switch to the later cruise that was not sold out and we were told no. The crew was rude with the exception of the tour guide. Our next cruise will be with a different company. We do recommend seeing New York from the water the skyline is breathtaking.

The guide, Debbie, was delightful. The views were good. BUT. The bar staff were talking loudly while she was trying to talk. AND the tour advertised a complimentary glass of champagne and cash bar. There was only sparkling apple cider. Nothing alcoholic at all. Very disappointing.

Apparently lost their liquor license so the one glass of champagne was a hoax. Sparkling apple cider is so not equal to champagne. Boat furnishings could do with an update. You might be better off just taking the Staten Island Ferry .

First off, you need to go to the ticket window and exchange your Viator certificate for a ticket. We got in line to get good seats up top and got kicked out because we didn't have the actual ticket. NO MENTION OF THIS ON CERTIFICATE! The tour itself wasn't bad. Views were spectacular as it was a nice sunset.

I have done a couple of the cruises around New York and this was far and above the best. The boat is better, All air conditioned. The tour guide was better. We got closer for better pictures of the Statue of Liberty. And it was less expensive.

The cruise was phenomenal. All of the crew members of the boat were extremely friendly. It went smoothly. They provided tons of historical information about all of the buildings we could see from the boat. I highly recommend it. Another positive was there were no seats left on the top deck to view but we were allowed to stand so we could have the best view possible. I appreciated that after paying money for the tickets.
