Viator Exclusive: Statue of Liberty Monument Access and 9/11 Memorial

New York City, United States of America

Enjoy an in-depth experience of two top New York City attractions with this special-access tour, a Viator Exclusive available nowhere else. Learn about the history of New York on a guided walk down Wall Street, followed by a tour of two symbols of American freedom, liberty and perseverance: the Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 Memorial. After an immersive visit to the World Trade Center site with your expert guide, gain access to the reserve  line for the ferry to Liberty Island, offering sweeping views of Ellis Island, New York, New Jersey and New York Harbor. Enjoy an audio tour of Liberty Island and reserved access to the statue’s museum and pedestal. Then, snap photos of iconic Lady Liberty from the water and admire the NYC skyline on your ferry ride back to Lower Manhattan.

Meet in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District, where you’ll meet your expert local guide to begin your Viator Exclusive tour, available nowhere else. Your morning starts off with a walking tour of Wall Street. Learn about the transformation of New York City from an early Dutch settlement to the financial capital as you pass the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve Bank and other financial and historical institutions.
Your Wall Street walking tour leads you to the World Trade Center site, home to the 9/11 Memorial, a monument commemorating the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks of 2001. Walk around to see the enormous reflecting pools and fountains. Your guide will tell you stories of the events, tragedy and heroism of that infamous day.
After this sobering and deeply moving experience, your guide will accompany you to the ferry. This Viator Exclusive gives you reserve line access for the ferry to Liberty Island, letting you bypass the long lines. Before sending you off, your guide will provide commentary about the Statue of Liberty, one of America’s greatest symbols of liberty and freedom.
Admire views of the amazing New York City skyline as you cruise along New York Harbor. Have your camera ready as you approach Lady Liberty! Arriving at Liberty Island, pick up a handheld audio guide (available in 9 different languages) for your visit. Next, go inside this famed icon with reserved access to the Statue of Liberty’s stone pedestal, designed by famed architect Richard Morris Hunt. The top of the pedestal is roughly half the height of the entire monument, and offers panoramic views of Ellis Island, New York, New Jersey and New York Harbor. Only a limited number of visitors are permitted per day, so be the fortunate one to experience the Statue of Liberty up-close.

Your ticket also includes access to the Liberty Island Museum, where you’ll learn about the difficulties and triumphs that France and the US overcame to build this universal symbol of liberty and democracy. The museum also covers how the Statue of Liberty's interpretation has changed since its construction in 1886.

Here, your tour concludes and you may choose to stay on the island as long as you wish. On the return ferry, choose to disembark onto Ellis Island, the gateway for 12 million immigrants. End your day with one last view of the beautiful Statue of Liberty before returning to Lower Manhattan by ferry.

Please note: This tour does NOT include admission to the 9/11 Museum and Statue of Liberty Crown admission.

Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Joel as your guide! He was great, very knowledgeable and personable. He made our tour experience fun and memorable. The 9/11 memorial was amazing! The Statue access was a nice part of the tour that we did at our own pace. Overall, very pleased!

When I signed us up I had no idea what I was getting my family into... WORTH EVERY penny. Don’t explore NYC without a professional guide and these guys do a great job while keeping everything super time efficient. The expedited line passes alone saved us as least 4 hours.

This was a great tour. The guide was so entertaining and knowledgeable. We took this tour on a extremely cold day bordering on miserable but the young man saved the experience.

Our guide, Lindsey was energetic, engaging, wonderful, charming, informative and warm - which was great because it was a cold day. Be sure to dress warm in the winter! Although I have visited all the cites on my own, this tour was well worth it for the many historical tidbits that she conveyed to us along the way.

A great sequence of visits, starting at No 1 Wall Street, the NYSE moving to the original Federal Building with a brief tour around the inside._br/_ Then it was a walk towards the 9/11 memorial with a detour to check out the Bull of Wall Street and understand the history and significance of its creation and location.

My mother and I were first time visitors to NYC and our main priorities were to see exactly what this tour included. It was absolutely amazing and breathtaking all at once! Our tour guide, Josh, was very informative and friendly. I would highly recommend taking this tour!

This tour started as a walking tour and covered Wall St, the place where Washington was inaugurated and Trinity Church where Hamilton and his wife are buried. It continued on to the 911 Memorial. Our tour guides were very well versed and animated making for a very pleasant tour. After the Memorial we were shown to our boats to Liberty and Ellis Islands where we could spend as much time as we wanted. Very worthwhile tour for a good price.

We had Joel for this tour. He put his everything into his presentation and made us all feel excited about the history he was sharing with us. He was very welcoming and made us all feel part of the group tour. _br/_ Joel was knowledgeable and enthusiastically shared his wealth of knowledge. _br/_ Suggestion for company would be to invest in quietboxes to not put strain on the voices of the tour guides. Joel was excellent and his acting background helped his voice_br/_ Thank you Joel

Perfect tour for a short trip to NYC. 2 hour tour of Wall Street and the 911 memorial with just enough info to get bang for your buck. Was able to bypass others in line to the Statue of Liberty and go up to the pedestal observation area. *Hard time finding guide, look for person with small flag

We found this online, read the reviews and went for it. It was me and my 14 year old daughter on a getaway. First time to NYC. Eric was our tour guide and did a great job! Full of facts and stories the whole time. We toured Wall Street, lower Manhattan, World Trade Center area, and hit the ferry for the Statue of Liberty. Well organized, Eric did well to interact with the whole group that we were a part of.

Good trip however be careful which reviews you read as some of them should come with a 'Spoiler Alert' warning._br/_ Its probably more fun to hear the facts and stories from your tour guide rather than read them on a long winded Viator review.

This is one recommended tour for someone with just one day to spare in NYC. Its a walking tour of Wall Street all the way to where the Twin Towers use to stand and is now the 9/11 Memorial. It does not have access to the Museum though. The 9/11 Memorial Tour alone is enough to give you goosebumps and remind you of that faithful day. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the places and events he brought us to. One thing though for those not used to walking, its not recommended. Im glad that we do have a patient and understanding guide who made sure that the group waited for us. Going to the Statue of Liberty Monument is another big thing not to be missed. The cruise was a big relief from all the walking, but reaching Liberty is another thing. You still need to walk but its now much better as its on flat land. Same with the trip to Ellis Island where everything you need to know about America's first immigrants can be found. Worth the whole day and walking tour. Make sure to take this tour with comfy shoes and outfit. Take enough water to keep yourself hydrated and hopefully, take it when the weather is much cooler and not at the height of summer. Have fun.

Joel was our tour guide - energetic, articulate, knowledgeable, very friendly, and fun. His portion of the tour led us around lower manhattan, including Wall Street, Federal Hall, Trinity Church where Alexander Hamilton is buried, and the 911 Memorial (Reflecting Fountains, not the museum). great!

Better looking around the places by yourself in your own time, easier and more convenient - its an nice historical chat, but the wall street and 9/11 memorial site can be done by yourself at leisure._br/_ You can buy the fast track queue tickets outside of the ferry by official sales same price it really isn't worth spending money to go up to the plinth or the crown. You want to be able to see the statue and you can do this easily from the ground better photo shots too!_br/_ Ferry is otherwise free, so really you don't need to spend any money on this!! Once on the island you can do the ranger tour and its free and so much more entertaining and educational.

Adam the guide was excellent, very knowledgeable relating to Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial. This part of the tour was well managed, informative - well conducted. As expected the ferry trip to the Statue of Liberty was crowded and the double security requirements a 'bit much' in the heat. there was a lack of much choice as far as food/drink venues for the area.

Eric was our tour guide and a great guide was he. Started out in the Financial District, The New York Stock Exchange, Federal building where George Washington was inaugurated and then on to Trinity Church where Alexander Hamilton and his wife are buried, then on_br/_ to the 9/11 Memorial, Occulus building and then to Battery Park where we caught the ferry to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty and could then go to Ellis Island before heading back to Battery Park. Fun, busy tour, but Patrick made it educational and very interesting. I love finding out the little details that only a dedicated tour guide knows about. And the reserve tickets for the ferry ride were the best! Otherwise, we'd still be in line. Loved this tour and can highly recommend it. I'd suggest early morning time if you can, before the lines get long everywhere. Thanks Eric - Loved this!

Tommy our guide was lovely, he was easy to listen to and we learnt so much. Very friendly and happy to answer our questions. Good pace, with rest room stop in the middle which was appreciated. Good mix of guided tour and then on to liberty island at our own pace which was perfect.

The tour took place on a very cold dry day. Charles the tour guide was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The walking pace was easy going and we were not rushed. It probably said so in the small print, but we were under the impression that the tour included our guide for the statue of liberty too but Charles sadly informed us that this was not to be.

Value for money! Covers Wall street and 9/11 Memorial with a tour guide. Ferry tickets to and fro to battery park was given to us to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Ticket to the Pedestal at Statue of Liberty was included and entrance to Ellis Island was included as well. _br/_ Trip was well paced and could easily take the entire day. Tour guide portion last around 2h and you will be free to spend as much time at Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Do remember the last ferry back is at 430pm. _br/_ Tour guide Justina was perfect! I would recommend it to any Solo travelers who doesn't really want the hassle of planning.

This was a great tour, would recommend to all, the guide was exceptional especially with his knowledge of Wall Street, as he previously worked there and had some inside stories. The 9/11 site was very somber. The Statue Of Liberty, what can I say, a trip to New York isn't complete with visiting this lady.
