Excellent Trip, only change I would subject is add the Tomb of Unknown Soldier into the trip. I also would consider working the Arlington Cemetery riding tour into the trip. Again tour guide was excellent and we enjoyed the trip. One other issue needs to be addressed and not sure how to fix it. The stop at the Air Space Museum was to short because of the new security rules. We was there for one hour and stood in line for 40 minutes getting into building, leaving only 20 minutes for bathroom and viewing exhibits not near enough time. The bus company did an excellent job having 2 drivers to make sure the trip was safe.

This is an excellent tour. Originally I did this in June 2015 but never got round to posting a review. However, I did enjoy the tour enough to book it again which I did last month. The second tour was even better as the operator has improved the itinerary. The first time we went it included a stop at Madame Tussaud's which is fine except nobody goes DC to visit Madame Tussauds! This has now been replaced by a stop at Arlington cemetery and JFK's grave which is a massive improvement. The tour is well run and both guides were absolutely fantastic. On the most recent trip we were disappointed as the tour guide said there would be a cordon around the White House due to the there being a function there. However, this worked out better as the first time we visited the White House it was impossible to get nice pictures as it was too crowded but the small cordon they had around the perimeter actually allowed us to take much better photos of this iconic building.

Coming from Hawaii with only a sort time in New York we wanted a our that could cover the highlights of New York. We found that with Viator. We are planning another trip and plan to use Viator again for that city. I recommend Viator for their professionalism and organized tours.

Fantastic trip. Ben tour guide very informed and easy to listen to. Day was well planned out and we saw more than we hoped for. Just be warned it was just gone 10 pm when we got back to New York. So it is a very long day but well worth doing. Will definitely do some more trips with this company.

On the tour website it says you’ll be back in New York for 8:00pm but we arrived back at 9:55 making it a 15 hour trip with only 5 hours in Washington.

We did get to see most of the itinerary plus an extra, but our main bucket list reason for this trip was Arlington Cemetery, which could not be accessed due to a marathon being run in Washington that day... I would have liked to have been informed of this so we could have booked for another day during our stay. We enjoyed the trip, but we were very disappointed.

This was a truly marvellous experience. Americans have every good reason to be proud of their capital. The guide was fantastic, but then he had a lot to talk about and show us. For visitors I believe the impact of seeing Capital Hill and Arlington Cemetery, especially the Korean showpiece, overwhelm the observer, far more than any movie can dispel. This is a trip well worth sitting on your bottom for 8 hours.

I would recommend this tour however I could only give it 3 stars as it did not include the cemetary and if you wanted to see the cemetary then this is not the tour to take.. To have the cemetary included required another tour. You will need to confirm with Viator which tour includes the cemetary. The sights we did see were amazing and the guide was great and the bus ride was comfortable even at the early departure.

Washington DC was great got to see the major sights and the Air and Space Museum._br/_ Only criticism would be the bus ride, we signed up for the English speaking tour, there was a group of about 16 germans, so the tour was always explained to them in German first before our guide would then move down the bus to explain to the English speakers._br/_ There was also a spanish guide and Japanese guide on the same bus, but we did not here them when they were talking to their tourists._br/_ Overall a good tour but disappointed in how it was conducted.

When booking this tour, I only wanted to see the Abraham Lincoln statue and was not phased about anything else. However, this tour exceeded my expectations. The guides were very knowledgeable and made me want to know more about Washington. Washington is a beautiful district and it was nice to sit and eat some lunch in the park. This tour is not to be missed, the tour is as described. _br/_ Even if you are only interested 1 thing on this tour, it is worth it because I am sure you love it all.

From the initial booking through viator.com, I really liked the overview, schedule and pricing. That being said, once paid I looked at a few Google reviews for Gray Line Visitor's Center the poor reviews left me a little apprehensive, however I needn't have worried as this tour is not Gray Line New York Sightseeing, it is Empire Vacation Tours. I left my hotel at 6am, walked across to Gray Line Visitor's Center arrived at 6:25am. I was greeted by a member of staff, asked what language / tour I was going on and directed to a coach. The coach was spacious, comfortable, had WiFi and power outlets USB to help power devices.

It turned out to be a long day but we toured a lot of places. Bus was comfortable, and the stops were adequate. Was very happy that we got right to graves at Arlington, Lincoln memorial and other sights but unfortunately couldn't get to the front of the Whitehouse. Good tour very big day very interesting scenery, we saw so many places, Statues, Monuments, Buildings, Museums and Cemetery and we passed through four states to get to Washington from New York. Only one thing spoilt the day was our Asian Tour Guide telling us what we could give for a tip which I thought was very unethical. There were two guides on our bus one handling five Asian Tourists and the other handled the rest of the bus. On most of the paper work you receive from Viator they tell you whether gratuities are covered or optional and there were a few people annoyed being told there was four people to split their tips with. Apart from that we would recommend the trip to anyone.

Although skeptical at the time of the booking, I've quickly found to love the organized trip to Washington DC. The tour guide Eddy was funny and informative, drive was very relaxing the bus had USB charging points and WIFI there were stops for food/restroom and the organization was rather well done. We have seen the Arlington Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, the White house and the Capitol hill there were also some other war memorials. Additionally we also went to the Smithsonian Space museum.

The tour itself was a good experience. The guide, who didn't tell us his name, was well informed about the history of the area and associated events. However it was disappointing that the nameless guide did not interact with us personally. There was little to no eye contact etc. He did spend time laughing and chatting with the French tourists he was translating for. The bus drivers also did not interact with us as we repeatedly got on and off the bus. The wifi did not work and the bus toilet was neither clean nor adequately stocked. It was interesting to note that the tour guide got very friendly and chatty at the end of the trip when he started talking about the tips he was hoping for. In this day and age of smart phones, information is readily at our fingertips. The personal touches and guided interpretation a tour leader brings to the experience is what makes the difference. In this case, we were disappointed and let down.

Lot of time spent on the bus, it really was just an appetiser for what is to be seen in Washington DC. We will go back one day to spend more time sightseeing. Stopping for lunch at the Air and Space Museum where you can only get McDonalds was a low point.
