Had a wonderful time on the dinner cruise. Lobster was OK, the steak was good, the drinks were just right. The entertainment was fun, transportation to and from the boat was perfect. The fireworks from the deck of the boat was great, we would do it again if we ever go back to Oahu. The only problem was too many Asian men trying to put dollars in the girls skirts, as they dance. So disrespectful.

Food not that great and was luke warm. Dinner was happening while still in port and continued while the sun was setting so we missed it. If you went to the upper deck to see the sunset, your dinner left at your table and was cold upon your return. Sitting was much too confined, it was nearly impossible to speak to my spouse. Show was just ok. Would not attend again.

What a stellar experience! Recommend booking transportation to the pier from your hotel! The food was quite good and pleased my hubby who is a chef! The live music was fun and engaging! The service was fast and friendly! We booked for a Friday which was an hour longer and included a fireworks display. The entire evening was magical!

Booked at the last minute and so glad we did! From the charming greeter for the shuttle to the incredible food, wonderful service, and delightful show, every minute was magical aboard the Star of Honolulu. Dancers welcome you at the dock, then you'll enjoy a mai tai and cheese board as you get underway. Perfectly timed for a spectacular sunset view, we also enjoyed the sights of Waikiki, including double rainbows over the mountains. Be sure to go up to the open deck for your best views. A photographer comes to each table and we ended up purchasing the terrific pic. Your server will also take your picture for you with your camera, if requested. Dinner was beautiful and delicious we had lobster and filet far exceeding our expectations. Lovely jazz and island music during dinner, followed by a great show, with dancers in among the tables of diners. Special kudos to our server, Felicia, who truly embodied the Aloha spirit.

The overall experience felt a little dated. The food was good, the staff was friendly, the views of the coast were pretty. It was a relaxing way to spend an evening although I don't think we'd do it again.

Let me start by saying our experience was greatly impacted by bad transportation logistics/ mgmt. At the pick up destination there was confusion which delayed our arrival to the boat hint: arrange your own transport. Because we were late, we got an awful table with limited views and because of the location we were served one course behind the rest of the boat. Please note there is no AC which means the boat has no real ventilation while you are seated for dinner. You can go to the side deck to watch the views and cool off there. The warnings about no shorts light jacket appears to be in error or needed to be more specific on the season the warning is referenced for. Drinks were sub par

My husband and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary on July 21st. We did this dinner cruise and it was awesome. The staff was great and the food was so good. The fireworks was a site to see. We traveled all the way from Atlanta, GA. It was well worth my trip. Highly recommend!

Not what I expected. Transportation was fine. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was okay, not outstanding. You could have seconds, thirds....on the crab legs. You are taken to your table immediately upon arrival and your salad is waiting for you. The dining area is very crowded. Although seeing a sunset was not a reason for booking this cruise, I wonder how easy it is to actually see one. It rained the night we went, but I imagine some seats might have a limited view. You're invited to walk around the boat, but that time is limited, considering dinner and the show take up a good portion of the time. The performers were very good, but not the best show on the island as others described the entertainment. It is a considerable walk from the bus drop off, so if someone in your group has a walker, etc, you might want to check if they have accommodations. Overall, this was not worth the money.

Excellent food and outstanding entertainment. The sunset was amazing. This is a three story cruise ship with excellent views for all diners from every angle. Take special note of where the stage is when you sit down to dinner - I faced the sea and so had my back to the stage - I had to turn my chair sideways to keep both the stage and sea in view. The champagne toast on arrival is non-alcoholic and two drink tickets provided won't get you through the evening as the glasses are small. Take money for extra drinks!

This is a short experience, so if you want sunset pictures, get them before you eat. Otherwise, the food is good, plentiful if you like crab legs, and the entertainment is fun.

Shuttle services was good. The cocktail was too sweet. The crab was delicious. The show was very good. I am from South America and I had wanted to listen to variety of music like salsa, merengue plus the ones I heard at the event.

Transportation was on time and comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. However, the food was not good. The snow crab was average, though they did come around again for all you can eat. The steak was barely cooked. I'm talking raw, not rare. I chose to stick with the steak and crab, even though I don't like crab. My husband was looking forward to eating mine. Had we known that there would be more offered, I would have selected a different meal. As it was, all I ate was potatoes and vegetable. Not exactly worth 117. The entertainment was fun, and that and the staff are the only reason I am giving this two stars.

Made reservations weeks ago. Right away I got a call, we would have to upgrade to the premium dinner. Sounded like bait and switch. Ended up seated with other people at our table, nice Valentine's Day. food- poor for the poor for the price. Lobster tough, steak undercooked and tiny.

Also felt very out of place seeing as we were the only Aussies on the cruise and everyone else was Chinese/Japanese, speaking no English.
