Oahu Shore Excursion: Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Tour
Oahu, United States of America
Spend your time in port on Oahu on a Pearl Harbor and Honolulu shore excursion. Step back in time and learn about Hawaii's fascinating history and its leaders at the Iolani Palace and King Kamehameha's statute. Visit the Punchbowl National Cemetery to commemorate those who served in the Armed Forces. And board the USS Arizona Memorial, where you can feel the emotions of the fateful day when the US was attacked at Pearl Harbor.
After being picked up from your cruise ship pier, your Oahu shore excursion will start in downtown Honolulu, where you'll visit Iolani Palace, the official residence of Hawaii's monarchy. Learn about the life of King Kalakaua, the first monarch to circumnavigate the globe. Marvel at the opulence of the only palace in the United States, and uncover the secrets of the royal kingdom before its downfall.
Next, you'll learn about King Kamehameha, the great leader who conquered the Hawaiian Islands and formally established the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1810. Without King Kamehameha's unification of the islands, Hawaii may have been conquered by competing western interests. King Kamehameha's statute celebrates Hawaii's greatest king.
The Punchbowl National Cemetery sits high on a wall on Puowaina Crater overlooking the graves of the cemetery. Get amazing views of Waikiki and Diamond Head, while commemorating the veterans who served in World War I, World War II, the Korean War - and the Vietnam War.
The USS Arizona Memorial is the final resting place of the 1,177 crew members who lost their lives on December 7, 1941, during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The national memorial commemorating the attack that thrust the United States into World War II spans the mid-portion of the sunken battleship.
When your tour is over, you’ll be dropped off at Waikiki or the airport. This post-cruise shore excursion is available for Norwegian Cruise Line passengers on debarkation day and for passengers with flight times after 5:30pm.
Worry-free Shore Excursion: We will ensure your timely return to Waikiki or the airport. If your ship is delayed and you are unable attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.
The tour worked out well for us. We had plenty of time at Pearl Harbor to see what we wanted and also got to see a bit of Honolulu. Pick up and drop off at the ship was easy. The driver also dropped people off for shopping if they wanted, which was very nice of him. The driver was interesting and provided good commentary. Since our time was limited, this was a good way for us to see Pearl Harbor with no stress.

We were met at the pier where our Royal Caribean Ship docked. There were only 8 of us on a small bus so were able to ask many questions about life in Honolulu. We drove first around the older part of the city and stopped to take pictures of famous landmarks. Next we went to Pearl Harbour and given directions on how to get into our prepaid tour. Our driver stayed with the bus so that those who had luggage for their return home wouldn't have to get a locker at Pearl Harbour. We saw a video about the attack on the Military base that brought the Americans into the WW2. We continued to diamond head and Waikiki Beach before some of being dropped back off at the ship and the others to the airport.

Picked up by Roberts at the cruise terminal after disembarking from the Pride Of America. Driver was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Pearl Harbour was emotional and very appropriate. All the films, displays and literature explained the story behind the USS Arizona and that fateful day. After Pearl Harbour I felt the tour went a bit long could have been shortened by about half an hour. It was good to be dropped off at our resort and all our luggage and items on the bus were safe while we were at Pearl Harbour

Pearl Harbor tour was great but at port was very disorganized and took time away from tour. Tour was supposed to be at 9:00 and we did not get picked up until 9:30. Driver was not that familiar with Honolulu.

As a WW II baby, this was very touching and sentimental. Loved it.

The Roberts of Hawaii representative was waiting for us as we left the dock area. The van was perfect - small group. The driver gave us a little commentary about Pearl Harbor as we drove there. After Pearl we took a drive in Honolulu. We saw the govt. buildings and we stopped to take photos. We asked to be let off in Waikkii. It was an easy way back to the ship.

The City tour was much too short and non descriptive. We could have spent less time at Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor was such an honor to go see, however due to APEC, our trip was cut short due to traffic jams, and road blocks.
