Then, follow your guide under water and effortlessly glide past beautiful tropical reefs, admiring views of colorful fish, green sea turtles and other marine life along the way.

The only complaint is when you have to wait all the time in the boat while others do the scooter and you are not provided with a snorkel and a mask or something else so you can keep enjoying your tour. Imagine waiting approx 3 hours in a boat waiting for your turn just sitting there...good tour, but it needs some tweaks

Really great fun. I prebooked this before we left for Hawaii, and had no idea what the weather was going to be like. Unfortunately for us, it was a pretty horrible day, raining lots. This made the ocean choppy. The guys running the show were really friendly and helpful._br/_ Getting into the submarine scooter I was a little nervous, but this was more because of the choppy water. Once I was in and settled myself, it was really good. There is a diver for every scooter, so you feel safe. _br/_ The scooter didn't seem to move much under the water, I wonder if this was because of the choppiness. Anyway, I have never been able to go diving, and so this was the next best thing, and I loved being able to be under the water. They are there every day, so the fish are pretty much expecting you, so you won't be disappointed. There is a photographer taking photos and a video. We paid for both, and for this once in a lifetime experience, it was worth the cost._br/_ We could have gone snorkelling after the scooter, but the weather wasn't good for it, so we finished early and went back to shore. Had the weather been better, this would have been an even better experience. So if you can check the weather forecast before booking, I recommend doing so. But I HIGHLY recommend giving this a go. They say they can even have kids as young as 5 doing it._br/_ Best part... I got to pat a wild sea turtle. Where am I ever going to get that experience again!

Put this one on your bucket list for Oahu! I can swim and snorkel but wouldnt be up to scuba diving so when I found this on Viator for Oahu it ticked all the boxes. Most amazing experience, only short ride out to the scooters and the excellent staff guided us on safety and how to work scooters. You are told how to enter the bubble, a short dunk under water and they position the bubble over your head, you resurface and are inside the bubble, you are breathing air and sitting on a scooter. Each person gets approx 15 mins on scooters with the crew with you at all times pulling you down 30 feet to sandy bottom where you see green turtles and beautiful coloured fish. They come right up to you as there is a basket of bread in your hand to entice them. Photos and a short video are taken of your experience. It costs extra but absolutely worth it as I relive this most amazing experience regularly. When not on the scooters you can snorkel around the boat and this was just as amazing as a turtle decided to swim through the snorkellers! All snorkeling gear is provided and you must use fins as the currents around the boat are pretty strong. Crew wonderful, boat clean, with plenty of fresh snacks and soft drinks. The restrooms in the office are just alright but just do it.

This experience is a lot of fun. They let you snorkel while you're not on the scooters, and we saw sea turtles and fish of many sizes. There is no coral or other sea life in that area. The water was a little rough and they recommend life jackets while snorkeling unless you're a strong swimmer, a good suggestion. They provide these as well as wetsuit shirts and snorkel gear.

I very much enjoyed my scooter adventure. The water was warm and there were a vast number of fish and turtles to enjoy watching white either on the sub or snorkeling around. _br/_ My only issue was that it was impossible to get back to Waikiki from the venue. We literally waited 2 hours, one hour for the bus that never came and then one hour for a taxi one came but took someone else while we were waiting. _br/_ I would suggest they provide a shuttle service or at least book taxis for their customers who haven't got their own car.

We booked this experience for 5 family members, only one of which has SCUBA experience. My hope was that this would be a good introduction for those without. The actual scooter experience was fun, but frankly not as fun as SCUBA. You have a diver pushing and steering your scooter the entire time. On the day that we booked, the weather was pretty inclement. We called the company to confirm that we were still good to go out. They said it would be fine. When we arrived at the boat, we were advised that it was extremely choppy out on the water, so we should throw up off the back of the boat. About 50 of the people on board did indeed get sick. The diving experience lasted about 25 minutes, but there were only 8 scooters, so the rest of the time - about an hour and 40 minutes - were spent in the cold rain fighting back nausea. The crew said that the morning excursion on the same day was just as bad. My recommendation is to try this experience if you are keen, but dont expect this company to look out for you! Even better, try an intro to SCUBA experience and give this one a miss.

Oh my gosh this was SOO much fun! For the activity and the pricing, it's actually priced really well for Hawaii! You meet the boat-and the adventure begins-they have snacks, but you can BYOB-and there's a fully stocked drug store that has everything you'd want to drink alcoholic or not and eat too. They take you out to meet the other barge that has the scooters-after some instructions, you can go first, or snorkel around the boat-and that was awesome! While you swim around you can watch other people scooter away, or be the first to do it, and the snorkel the rest of the time. I didn't feel like I had a lot of control on the scooter, you do have a guide with you-but that was ok with me-I still didn't need to be scuba certified to do it. The time in the scooter was a little noisy from the aeration, but if you see my pictures-you see how amazing I thought the whole experience to be. I was not posing for the camera, I was literally filled with that much joy at being surrounded by fish-the time in the scooter, you really don't want it to end, well, maybe when you run out of fish food-but man, I had such a good time-You have to do it if you love swimming and snorkeling, but aren't that good at it. I go some amazing photos on my own, but the photos the captain took, were amazing, and affordably priced too! I guess I can't recommend this enough-look at my stupid face and image feeling so much joy you make a stupid face for the camera too. Do this, enjoy your time with the fish...OH and if you don't see an option to buy transportation when you book...book and then call them to see if they can provide you a shuttle. They charged us 10 a person for a one way trip versus the 45 dollars we spent on the taxi from Waikiki. LOVE THIS!

This was the least impressive of several snorkeling outings we did while in Hawaii and the only one we would not repeat. You only get 20 minutes in the scooters, the rest of the time is swimming and snorkeling on your own. The fish only arrive after to get the food the have in the bags on the scooters. There is not a lot of wildlife coming near you, or that you can swim to, once you are off the scooters.

Long over due review from our trip to Oahu last year. A very interesting tour riding these submarine scooters and feeding fish and looking at sea turtles under water. Only down side with this trip was actually the boat trip out to the turtles, or I should say when we where anchored before going down on the scooters, cause a lot of people became sea sick and out of 20 passengers 18 was affected in various kind and atleast 2 never went down on the scooters including my husband, therefore only a 4 star. I enjoyed it very much, even though I got sea sick to and eventually fed the fish great fish maintenance - keeping the water clean XD. Very helpfull crew though.

This was a fantastic trip. The crew was friendly and helpful. They explained all safety information clearly. They warned you that the water was a little rougher than normal and then said don't worry as the divers would assist you which they did expertly. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the scooter experience. All you have to be able to do is hold your breath for two seconds and the guide will direct your head into the helmet. The fish nibbled our food bag and even our hands. Do take Dramamine the night before and morning of. Several got sick!

As a scuba diver we enjoyed the experience, but were disappointed that we only had 20 min being submerged 8 feet and not going anywhere. Only 8 can go at a time, and we had at least 24 people. You can snorkel but visibility was not that great. Safety divers and crew were excellent.

Did see sea turtles but didn't like that they had food for the fish on the submarine scooter. The fish were constantly in my face. I just don't think that an underwater adventure is for me. My son who traveled with me did like it.

Amazing! The scooter ride, Amazing! The staff, Amazing! My wife was terrified of going on this adventure. She told the staff of this and they did everything to make her comfortable. Fantastic experience! We had tried helmet diving, which is fun. But these submarine scooters are even better because you can move around without being tethered to an air line up on the boat on the surface. Our captain and his crew of helpers were great...we always felt safe. Once in the water, you just hang on to the edge of your scooter and the crew member pulls you out a safe distance from the boat. Then you hold your breath and duck under the water and come up with your head in a large bubble-like helmet which is fed with air from a scuba tank attached to the front of the scooter. You just breathe normally with no need for a snorkel, regulator, etc. You can easily move a hand up into the helmet to hold your nose to equalize the pressure on your ears as you descend. We went down about 20-30 feet and were in the water about 20 minutes each. We are senior citizens who don't know how to act our age that's a good thing!. But we are in our 60s and 70s and had absolutely no problems. If we can do it, you can do it! We were able to see lots of fish and a couple of turtles too. The company has a photographer who dives with you and takes both still photos as well as a short video clip of you with the rest of your group. After your dive you get to look at the photos before you decide if you want to buy them we did and then they send you an email link to download your photos onto your computer. Another nice thing about this company is that they have no problem with you taking your own underwater camera/ GoPro, etc. as well. We took our own photos too, so you are under no obligation to buy theirs. It was a very unique and fun outing and we would highly recommend it to others.

Wow what an experience!!!! This was even better then expected!!!!! The boat ride out to the location was gorgeous, the staff was hands down the best!!! They played amazing music, there were dolphins swimming around and they made sure we got to see them up close. The scooters was one of the best experiences of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend doing this activity. Seeing the fish and sea turtles right at your feet was amazing!! Words can't explain how amazing it was. The scooters are so fun, cool, I will be doing this again!!

Absolute blast, I am an ex navy diver, I want to share my love for diving with my new wife. There's no better way for her to TRY somthing like scuba than this. Fyi she loved it. _br/_ And for those who say it looks scary it looks dangerous all I can say is be careful getting out of bed I am very careful when it comes to my new loves safety. They supplied MORE THAN ONE safety diver for each two scooters. _br/_ As for what it cost ? Very fair.
