You’ll also visit the beautiful and peaceful Byodo-In Temple, which is home to wild peacocks and hundreds of Japanese koi carp, as well as scenic mountain views. Lastly, finish your day tour at Dole Plantation where you’ll see varieties of pineapples from all over the world.
We loved it. The Pearl Harbor Museum and Arizona was highly memorable. The island tour was also decent, with nice stops.

Was an interesting trip. I liked the Japanese temple and the sights of the island. I hoped to have spent more time at Dole. It was insanely crowded there when we arrived. There was no time to get a pineapple treat since the lines were so insane. I wished it would have been planned so that it was less crowded there. We had lunch at a ranch which was ok as well. Driver was knowledgeable. Maybe a bit too chatty at times. He was nice. We had a good time. Pearl Harbor was interesting

This tour included hidden extras that were not advertised. Pearl Harbour was amazing. My only complaint would be that the time spent here was definitely not long enough. This part of the tour was extremely rushed and you did not have spare time to look around at everything. We made several stops - at a lookout with breathtaking views, macadamia nut factory free samples, the most beautiful gardens inside the valley of the temples memorial park, kualoa ranch for lunch stop - do not recommend the buffet as it wasn't the greatest food for the price - do have a snack bar, Dole plantation try the pineapple ice-cream small serve only very sweet, and turtle bay. Our expert driver was Frank. Our tour guide was Ed an older gentleman with expert knowledge, personality and a great sense of humour. This day out was fabulous and I would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone.

Couldnt go on the trip as my dad was ill. Tried to contact the company by phone for 2 days and got no reply, emailed them and got no reply. Eventually got through to them and they were very unhelpful and didnt offer us any other trips.

Three stars mainly for the tour company, Polynesian Adventures. We planned an all day tour of Pearl Harbor and the Circle Island Day tour for the one day we were in Oahu. We called the tour company at 6:45 7:30 pick-up to verify pick-up location. They verified and then called us back in 5 minutes telling us that tour was cancelled due to lack of participation and we could choose another - like the harbor and the Missouri tour instead. We did since they gave us no choice for same day and then were told pick-up in 20 minutes instead of 7:30. We made it. Pearl Harbor was outstanding and moving. The Missouri was mostly a dull waste of time. Totally missed the island. Next time and we recommend for you have several tour companies that offer the same/similar tours lined up to use if your tour company lets you down. Viator is great to explore options but line up alternatives outside them. If they had just let us know a day or so ahead, we could have found another option to see what we wanted to see. Disappointed.

Pearl Harbor is a must see when on Oahu. Very moving memorial. Circle Island tour is a long day but there are plenty of stops and you get a good feel of the island.

Very good tour. It really brings home the terrible loss of life during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. It's doesn't necessarily give you a 'good' feeling but it's still worth seeing.

Great value for money tour and very informative and friendly driver. Good overview of the island and decent amount of time at Pearl Harbour to view the musuem and the USS Arizona.

WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SPEND MORE TIME AT THE RANCH THAT WAS PART OF THE INCLUDED TOUR TO WALK AROUND AFTER LUNCH
Review by: luv2travel102, August 2017
I think the best part of the tour was in the bus taking in the beautiful scenery. I think I would recommend going to Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona on your own so you can really take your time, it could be a full day on it's own. I gave this tour 3 stars because the staff was friendly and informative, the stops were beautiful, the bus was clean and comfortable. It was just a little rushed and commercial for our taste.

What an educational, emotional, interesting and fascinating day. We've seen the best parts of the island all in one day. The driver was very knowledgeable, interesting and humorous which made the trip an even better experience. Would definitely recommend this tour if visiting Oahu

This tour was fantastic. What made it fantastic? Our tour guide was Gar, who let us know the history of all of the Hawaii locations we visited. The tour was for all day, and from the moment we boarded the bus, we were enlighted with Gar's fantastic personality and the interesting locations we visted. Thanks Gar. You are a wonderful asset to your company...

Loved the tour. A great guide. Never heard back from Co as to where to meet bus. We had to do that part of leg work after being told we'd be contacted with details. That was our only glitch. Grateful for these patient fellow Americans who tolerate us frustratated tourists when sales companies DON'T follow through!

Our guide was friendly, humorous and knowledgeable. We were given an overview of the highlights of the island and information about the island from a local. We heard stories about life and customer from our guide. We started with Pearl Harbour, saw the North shore, the Dole plantation, a Buddhist temple, a macadamia farm and a ranch. The tour gave us a sampling of spots on the island that we could go and spend more time at on our own. It was well worth the time and cost for this daylong tour.

We had an amazing tour guide Ernie who was full of jokes and very knowledgeable about the area he took us to.it covers about 75 of the island and had many photo opportunities. Definitely recommend this tour!

I wouldn't recommend this tour although Ed our tour guide did a good job under the circumstances. It seemed that the tour company did not have enough drivers on the day we were told they had unexpected bookings due to a cruise ship in and we were bundled in with at least 2 other tour groups. This was frustrating as we wasted a lot of time 2 hours after Pearl Harbour waiting for the 2 other groups to meet up with our tour late in the morning. It certainly was a quick drive around the Island with some backtracking and same jokes for the new groups joining us with a couple of rushed stops at commercial venues. My advice to anyone looking at doing a tour... make sure you are on a small tour bus. There is so much time wasted waiting for large 40 groups to get on and off bus. Better advice... hire a car and do it yourself!

This was an amazing tour. Pearl Harbor and the Arizona were so inspiring. It will never be forgotten. We went to plantations, saw turtles, saw the Buddist Monastery, went to various spots around the island. Loved the Dole plantation. We had a marvelous day, very well guided, comfortable. It was extra special because it was my birthday. Highly recommend it!

Didn't get to see the Missouri and I think that was a mistake. Felt like the rest of the time was filled with short stops at many places. Our guide, however , was great.

They frame this experience as a memorial and that is appropriate. The audience is guided to a film to put the event into context. Next everyone boards a boat and transported to the memorial. The stay at the memorial is about 25 minutes. Everyone is fairly relaxed. The experience is the number 1 tourist event on the islands.

Review by: Gail M, November 2015
The visit to Pearl Harbour and the tour of the island was fabulous! Our driver was very informative and, in fact, spoke for the whole trip. He was also quite humorous which was quite entertaining. Unfortunately half-way through the tour another driver took ill and our small group tour was then subsumed into a very large group tour. Unfortunately these things happen through no fault of anyone. But it was disappointing that our small group had to wait hours for the large group to eat lunch and be ready to recommence their tour. Being on a large bus, it was difficult to see the sights from the windows and it took quite some time for the whole group to exit the bus and then re-enter. I would only ever arrange a small group tour when travelling next time.

Anyone visiting Oahu should take a Pearl Harbor tour. Looking into and learning the history behind it gives you a feel for the real impact it had on the world. Visiting the USS Arizona Memorial is an eerie feeling, but at the same time brings you back into history.

Is there a rating less than 1? First off we were not staying at a hotel and all the website said was meet at the Arizona memorial departure 7:00 A.M. We indicated on our forms we were staying with family. I sent an e-mail the day before the trip to you and received a reply after the tour. You told us to contact the tour operator. The tour operator didn't arrive at the Arizona until after 9:00 A.M. When I finally found a phone number not on your website or any paperwork we received I was told by the operator you didn't tell us you were not staying at a hotel That's wrong and I told them so. When we called at 7:00 we were told the tour would be there by 8:00 When I called again at 8:00 we were told 9:05 due to traffic. I find that hard to believe when the tour guide arrived with 9:15 tickets for the trip to the Arizona. Also, when I sign up for a guided tour I don't expect the tour guide to boot us off the bus at every venue and tell us when to be back at the bus. We had a rental car and could've found the stops ourselves had we known that we have GPS on our cell phones. Last you advertised a the Dole Plantation as part of the tour inferring there would be a tour of the Plantation, not as we were told by the tour guide?/Bus Driver. This is a bathroom break/shopping stop, all in all the only bad time we had on our vacation. I'd never take another tour with you nor recommend anyone else do so either!!! Horrible service all the way around a waste of our money!!!

The tour delivered all that was promised, but nothing exciting. It was most of the day sitting on a bus. The driver mumbled a lot, and even after 2 requests to turn up the volume, he did not ! The scenery was beautiful, but the tour was boring! Skip this one!

We rated it a three because we really did see neat stuff. We were very touched by Pearl Harbor and the Arizona memorial. However, when I called days earlier to arrange for pickup, I was told to wait in front of the hotel. We were there 15 minutes early. No bus. Nobody walking around asking for us. I called. They told me the pickup was an alley next to hotel, not the front and the bus left 4 minutes after the pickup time. 50 taxi ride to the Arizona Memorial. Met with a company rep who gave us our instructions and tickets to memorial and time to meet the bus when done. The rest of the day we had a very nice driver but he tried to narrate and guide while driving. It seemed he couldn't keep a straight thought going the whole day. And people were regularly late to get back to bus after stops and so we waited. It was a very very long day. While we drove past many beautiful and interesting sites, the stops we just tourist traps. I would have loved a long stop at the Polynesian Cultural Center but instead we stopped at The Dole Plantation and Macadamia nut farm which are tourist traps and places to get your money.

Very interesting tour. Went round the island our tour guide stopped and took us to most of the popular sites to see. Unfortunately the weather wasn't to kind so a couple of the venues were not really visible. However the main visit was to Pearl Harbour where a very poignant short film prior to the short ferry trip over to the Arizona and Missouri makes the real reason for the visit......I personally was a bit annoyed at certain fractions of the people visiting Japanese showing total disrespect at what is a gravesite. But the tour is well worth the money and the guide was excellent
