Polynesian Cultural Center Admission

Oahu, United States of America

Visit Oahu's Polynesian Cultural Center and experience the largest Polynesian song and dance review in the world! Add our spectacular evening show "Ha: Breath of Life" and spend the evening immersed in the traditions and lifestyles of the seven individual South Pacific cultures.

Hawaii's Polynesian Cultural Center, located an hour's scenic drive from Waikiki, is one of the top Oahu attractions. The seven native villages give you the rare chance to participate in the daily adventures of Hawaiian and other South Pacific cultures. Add Hawaii's most authentic luau and the world's largest Polynesian night show, and you'll see why every trip to Hawaii should include a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center.

The seven island villages showcase the Polynesian cultures of Hawaii, Samoa, the Marquesas, Fiji, New Zealand, Tonga and Tahiti. Real Polynesians share knowledge about their traditional customs and you can watch the demonstrations or join in. Take a canoe ride on the lagoon and cook a meal in the Samoan village. Kids will love getting ink tattoos, spear throwing, ukulele lessons and fishing.

No evening at the center would be complete without "Ha: Breath of Life", an ancient, yet universal tale. Over 100 native performers dressed in authentic attire will share their traditions and culture with you. See exciting fire walkers and knife dancers.

Friends recommended this tour and it was excellent! One day is not enough time to really experience the information offered here on all the cultures that came together to live in Hawaii. For example, we did not have time to see all the demonstrations of cooking, weaving, etc. The main shows for each nation were very informative as well as fun!

This is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture of the Polynesian Islands. You'll learn about their history, food, travel, belief systems, dances, music and society in general. You can explore on your own, or take a guide. There are shows at the different sites throughout the day: learn how to make coconut bread, dance the hula, make coconut oil, etc. Some of the show hosts are very funny, they are all engaging. We upgraded to the Hawaiian luau, which I would call a dinner theatre. The show was entertaining, but similar to some things we had seen throughout the day. There were a few opportunities for audience participation. The dinner portion was basically a buffet of Hawaiian food there are a LOT of people to feed. It wasn't really what I was expecting. Ha, Breath of Life is the major show in the evening and it was very well done. If you do nothing else, see this show. It was different than the day's activities and worthwhile seeing. It's a busy but well maintained facility.

Viator has no proper connection and responsibility for operators actions. It was very confused, that after booking, there were no way to ask from where and when the pick up was organised. No pre information, where pick- up locations was planned. Only ask the hotel, but no info, that bus will come to booked hotel. The operator did not answer until late previous evening. Feeling to unsure situation was very frustrating. The itinerary for trip was not correct enough. The dinner was not included. The booking information gave to understand. that was included. Viator have to concentrate more to satisfy customers and ask operators to make proper information to the tours

I enjoyed the Polynesian Cultural Center and if I was only in Oahu for short time or had never experienced a Polynesian Culture before then this tour is worthwhile. For people have experienced this or are in Oahu for a longer period of time then I would not recommend going. It is also cheaper to take The Bus number 55 or drive there and pay your own way to experience it - cheaper than going on the tour.

Really excellent tour. Upgraded to the ambassador option so we had a tour guide around the park, which was really good. So much to do and plenty of time to spend at the park. Loved it.

Great experience and very educational. Workers were students earning their college education and showed pride in sharing their polynesian cultures. Center was very clean and staff friendly. Highlight of our trip.

This was an excellent tour. The bus picked us up near our hotel and we arrived at the Polynesian Cultural Center just as it opened for the day. We were able to organize our day to see all of the featured presentations in each of the villages. The meal was also included and all of the food was great. There was time afterward to see the imax movie that was also part of the park admission and then we attended the Ha show which was spectacular. This tour is well worth the price and highly recommended when you are visiting Oahu.

If you haven't traveled to the islands of the South Pacific, PCC is the place to go. It accurately reflects life in Polynesia. To see everything you need to spend the day. We took the afternoon tour and show HA:Breath of Life and had hotel pickup and dropoff. You MUST see the show. It is truly magnificent. The only drawback to this tour option was that dinner was not included and PCC would not sell same over the phone. We were picked up at 2PM and returned at 11PM. So no food was a problem. We spoke to our bus driver and explained the problem. He guided us to Customer Service and asked what could be done. There are actually two dinner options: regular which features chicken and deluxe which serves roast beef and crab legs. Most people opt for the former which is cheaper. The representative said he always takes his family to the deluxe. Up charge was 50 each well worth it. Deluxe area was about half-full while regular was packed with line out the door. Food was excellent and plentiful.

One and Done! _br/_ The staff was great! The education factor was pretty good. The facility was okay. The buffet food at lunch and dinner was not great!

This is a wonderful experience in all Polynesian Cultures. They interaction between the staff and visitors is perfect. The evening show Ha or Breath of Life is fantastic. We had a great time. We did the Island Style Buffet and this was only mediocre. Next time we would upgrade to the better Luau.

We loved it, we had to go back the next day as we wanted to see and experience everything! An amazing place, everybody was so helpful and friendly too. We just wished the weather was better, it rained the whole time we were there, but we bought three rain ponchos and carried on I think it would be great if unberellas were loaned at the entrance and handed back in as you exit

Unbelievable !!! Wow, what a great time we had on our honeymoon. Will surely revisit the Polynesian Cultural Center on our next visit to Oahu. Great Value !

Review by:   Natalie M,    June 2016 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
The tour was OK- the show was great. _br/_ It was extremely disappointing that I booked this and when we got to PCC, everything was closed, so if you would like to actually go through and experience the entire PCC I would NOT book this and go on your own. Also there was no option for dinner, and I missed the Luau dinner which was the reason why I wanted to go in the first place. Instead of booking through a third party Viator go through the cultural center- it would be way better for you and the general experience.

Interesting experience for me. As we encountered additional pick-up requests and traffic in Waikiki, we ended up at the Polynesian center really late and didn't have much time to explore the village. Would have loved more time in the center. Only got to see the Samoa show. The HA show was great!

Very nice but I booked the wrong tour. Thought I was going to see the whole thing but unfortunately I did not understand that booking Twilight package there would only be an hour to see the villages. Very disappointed. Not their fault. It's been forty years since I was there so I wanted to see EVERYTHING. Luau was a great show.

It was very nice. Our mistake is that we didn't do the full day. By the time we got there we only had the opportunity to visit one village and watch the movie. Didn't realized it closed at 6 PM. We did get to see the show which was very nice.

Really enjoyable, only regret was we didn't get to spend more time at the cultural center. probably should have selected the day tour ending with the Luau rather than the twilight tour.

I have quite mixed feelings about this. We paid a lot of money for it and dont feel it was quite worth it. Our dinner was ok and the Cultural Center is very 'touristy' and kind of plastic, but the show was brilliant. If you can just attend the evening show I would recommend that - I certainly do not feel that the price I paid was fair. Our bus driver was lovely and once again, very informative.

The Journey movie was the best part. I think families would benefit from this the most, with children 8-13 years old.

Food: Great and yummy. Wish there was a bit more variety and authenticity, but I understand they're feeding the masses._br/_ Dinner host/ staff: super friendly and attentive. A diverse group, all great _br/_ Dinner Entertainment: Loved the 10 year old fire guru kid. He was amazing! The entire group delivered the entertainment. They all seemed to enjoying themselves which made the audience feel comfy. One of the crew members, was very handsome _br/_ Breath of Life: Great seating, great location. Beautifully written and casted. Gave a whole new meaning to Ohana and gave viewers an in-depth perspective of the pacific islander culture. _br/_ Loved loved loved!

It was a wonderful tour from beginning to end. The only problem arose when I discovered I had not booked, it all worked out in the end but it caused a lot of stress. the problem was when booking the amount of ticking for that tour was huge and I obviously did not tick for transport, a I say it worked out in the end and we really enjoyed our tour.

From the minute we got on the bus, our trip was amazing. Our guide talked the whole way, sharing information about the island and all of the sights on the way. We learned so much more about the island than we would have if we had driven ourselves. The Culture Center was well worth the visit. The twilight package does limit the amount of villages that you are able to visit. If you are wanting to take your time and see the entire Culture Center a full day tour would be a better option. Our Luau was tasty and very entertaining. The "Ha" Show at the end of the evening was incredible. Overall an amazing afternoon and evening!
