This is not difficult riding as it is all at walking pace - anything faster is banned. The ranch is in attractive settings. It is fun to ride through one of the gates from Jurassic World and we rode through the skeleton graveyard from Kong Skull Island. I did the 2 hour ride. There is a one hour ride but looking at the map of the ranch this would be quite short without much to see. It is worth making a full day of going to the ranch and booking something else which also enables you to sort out transport to and from the ranch. If you are a regular rider, mounting the horse from the right will seem very strange. I am not sure why they do this as everywhere else I have been and in my own riding practice this is always on the left side of the horse.

Excellent excursion! Well worth the money. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and calm horses. This is an excellent trip for beginners and children. The views are worth every penny and it doesn't feel like a typical horseback riding tour.

The views and scenery were amazing. The horses were docile and in good control. I only wish the guides very friendly and gave good instruction re: handling the horses could have given more narrative about what we were seeing. For me, it was difficult to hear them as 1 was too far in front of me and the other was too far behind me. Otherwise, very good experience.

The people here are really great! Keep in mind, they go RAIN OR SHINE. It was a total dounpour when we went and they still put us on the horses and let us go! Would definitely be better in the sun!

Really good trip through the Ranch. We had a great tour guide and really well trained horses. You pretty much sit there and the horses walk the route with very little input from the rider. The guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. The only downside is that being more experienced riders, we would have liked to have a trot/canter, which is not really allowed on this tour, so just something to keep in mind when booking this. Overall, an excellent experience!

If you love horses, go for this tour. The horses are gentle and easy to ride. The guides were great and took extra care of the novice riders in our group. DO NOT FORGET YOUR CAMERA. The scenery is amazing. We were on the two hour tour and rode to the top of the mountains where you can see everything. There is a choice of adventures at the Kualoa Ranch, so be sure to take advantage of them, ex. ATV rides, zip lines etc. Everyone was having fun and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Loved it! Great staff -- Michelle was sweet, informative, helpful and experienced. BEAUTIFUL location, sweet horses, relaxed ride and even had a chance to see some of the movie filming locations in the valley.

Beautiful landscape-very smart guides and the horses seemed healthy and happy. Loved out time on the trail with our guide Annie and our horses Armando and Big and Sexy. It was very peaceful and fun. Wear pants! I wore shorts-lots of chaffing, wear jeans or yoga pants/capris. Guys are fine to wear cargo shorts though. Wear sunscreen and make sure to tip your guide-they deserve it :
