Small-Group Oahu Ultimate Circle Island Eco-Adventure

Oahu, United States of America

For a full appreciation for Oahu’s diverse, breathtaking scenery and most popular attractions, take this whole-island eco-tour, which lets you experience the best of the North Shore, East Shore and South Shore. From Waikiki, soak up views at scenic lookouts such as La'ie Point, Hanauma Bay and Waimanalo Beach Park; hike through lush Waimea Valley and swim under a waterfall; and visit famous beaches including Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach. Take a boat ride to a secluded beach to enjoy a delicious local lunch, and visit famous Moli'i Fishpond and a fascinating Buddhist temple. This tour has it all! Along the way, your expert guide will teach you all about Hawaii’s history, ecology, wildlife and flora and fauna. This small-group tour is limited to 20 people, ensuring a more personalized experience.

When you reach Waimea Valley, your guide will lead you on a hike through a lush tropical forest to Waimea Valley Falls, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pristine water. During your hike, you’ll learn interesting facts about Hawaii’s native flora and fauna from your naturalist guide. Next, take a boat ride to a secluded location to enjoy a fresh local lunch (meal options in Itinerary below). This special place is known as Secret Beach, located right next to famous movie locations at Kualoa Ranch.
Along the East Shore, visit several scenic lookout points including La'ie Point, the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout, Waimanalo Beach Park, Sandy Beach Lookout and Amelia Earhart Lookout. Be sure to have your camera, as you’ll be treated to endless photo opportunities!
Visit Moli'i Fishpond, listed in the US National Register of Historic Places, and spend some time at Byodo-In Temple, a replica of a 900-year-old Buddhist temple in Kyoto in Japan. Here, you’ll get a unique look at a part of Hawaii’s religious culture.
Continue driving around the island to the South Shore, featuring a unique landscape unlike the lush areas of the North Shore. See the Halona Blowhole and Halona Cove, and visit Hanauma Bay and Makapu'u Lookout.
Arriving back in Waikiki, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel to conclude your amazing experience of the whole island of Oahu.

This was our third time taking this two, as our two previous experiences had been excellent, and we were with a new travel companion and wanted to share the experience with him. This time the tour wasn't at all as advertised. We were supposed to have lunch at a private beach after boating across the beautiful fishponds. Instead we spent extra time at Waimea Valley and were given a disgusting pressed turkey sandwich and bottle of water. Following the falls, we spent more time stopping at various vendors to shop than we did any other attraction. The only other noteworthy attraction was the Valley of the Temples and we spent less time there than we did the last vendor! The tour was supposed to have a maximum of 20 people, and there were 25 of us crammed into the bus. I was so looking forward to this tour, and by the end of the day I was just embarrassed. I contacted the tour company and did receive a very nice apology and offer for another tour .... by then our travel guest had left, and I will never use this tour company again.

It was a great day! Guide Keith was native to islands and a wealth of interesting information as we circled Oahu. It was well worth the time, interesting and picturesque.

Our guide Keith was very informative and had good depth of knowledge about Hawaii in a multitude of topics, which made the day fun and interesting. Have been to Hawaii several times but still saw and learned new things.

This tour was amazing! I can not say enough about our guide Kealoha. He was a fantastic storyteller and made us all feel like family! He was wonderful at helping us capture our memories by taking photos for every group at each stop, how awesome is that?! There needs to be more people like him!

would give 10 stars if could. John Jr could not work harder to see we had a great tour. we got history, philosophy, mythology, island jokes, singing, plenty of stops to use restrooms and drinks. His knowledge and willingness to see we got a full day was incredible. great tour! Must ask for JOHN JR

A great way to see a little bit of everything Oahu has to offer. Tip: Do this tour on one of your 1st days, list the places you liked then return throughout your holiday. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

It was a good tour but too much time on the bus and too much political pontificating by the tour guide.

Dennis was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgable and always made sure we were comfortable. He had a great sense of humor, as well. It was a long day, but well worth it. If you rent a car, I would recommend going on this tour early on in your trip. That way, you can revisit the spots that caught your eye.

The aircon in the tour bus was extremely cold!! I've reflected this to the guide/driver, but not much improvement. Other than this, it was an enjoyable day.

We really enjoyed our day-out...unfortunately it rained and that caused less than favourable memories...but our tour guide was great and we still did all that we could while getting wet. The sights were amazing and the tour size was good, long day, but worth it.

A good tour of the island, but the itinerary was changed a bit and the bus broke down. We had to wait over an hour for a replacement which meant some places were then closed.

Over all, the tour was worth doing. Some departures from the description: there was no boat ride to a secluded beach for a local lunch. The hike through Waimea Valley turned out to be a walk up an asphalt-paved path. The tour was fast-paced, and the guide even managed to get an extra stop at a coffee farm in, since we were ahead of schedule in the morning. With so many stops, we usually had about 15 minutes at a given location though there were exceptions. The guide provided interesting information along the way. The temple was fabulous it and Waimea Valley were highlights for me.

Let me start off by saying that this is a great tour to see a lot in a short period of time. We truly did see the whole island, which ends up being a lot of ground to cover. Our guide, Danny, was engaging and fun throughout the day. The Waimea Valley Hike was beautiful and Danny was very informative about the landscape and history. The Byodo-in Temple was also beautiful and did honor the original temple in its design.

If you would like to see a number of interesting places on Ohau, this is a great tour to take. There are 11 different places you stop at to see, so you won't be just sitting on a bus all day. There are plenty of opportunities to swim, purchase food, take pictures, and use restrooms._br/_ Our tour guide, Dennis, was prompt, friendly and accommodating to all guests. He was very knowledgeable about the island and shared plenty of interesting historical facts, stories and laughs. Dennis was always happy to answer any questions and he made sure we stayed on schedule._br/_ Our tour was 10 hours long. A small shuttle picked us up less than a block from our hotel most pick up spots are directly in front of your hotel from my understanding. Dennis was always checking to make sure we were all comfortable with the air conditioning._br/_ Lunch was included on the venture, but you were also allowed to bring your own food on the shuttle for snacking. Many of the stops had fresh fruits and such for sale. Dennis also made sure to point out where the bathrooms were at the stops that had them most stops did._br/_ This tour gave us a different perspective of the island. The places Dennis took us to are all accessible with paid admission and are able to visit by public bus transportation. I recommend taking this tour early in your vacation so you can decide if you'd like to spend a day at one or more of the stops.

This tour started off amazing and then kind of dropped off. The Valley and the falls were great. My original overview of the tour (why I booked) said we'd take a boat to a private beach for lunch instead ate at a picnic table with about 100 other people at a ranch. Too much time on the bus.

This tour was not as advertised. In fact I will be asking for a rebate on the charges. The tour did not go to places that were listed but instead wasted time at commerical enterprises like Dole pineapple and the nut factory. Missed stops like turtle bay and lighthouse. Sorely disappointed.

The tour guide was wonderful and well informed. We saw many sights in one day that I would not have seen otherwise. Two quibbles: I was told that the tour would return by 5:30, but it did not return to the hotel until 7:30. I had another meeting that began at 6:30. Second, the lunch at the ranch was just average, and the trip to the secret lake was a lot of hype. I felt that too much time was spent there.

Good all-rounder but don't get excited about the hike - it's a 30-min round trip up a paved path which can be done in flip flops. A good way to see the island's sights though.

This tour was great! The tour guide, John, was very interesting (and very loud) and knew his history of the island of Oahu. He also took us by some of the locations where Hawaii Five-O was filming! I loved Waimea Valley and the waterfall! I was very impressed with this tour and would recommend this tour for everyone.

Great tour guide he really knew the Island well and the history. The weather didn't cooperate and there are some areas that fill up fast so we couldn't go in, but there are so many places that it didn't matter.

This tour was wonderful, and made unforgettable by the rich commentary of our guide Keith (or Kevin as he likes to be known ;) ). Keith is a wikipedia of knowledge on Hawaii and very open to chatting to us privately about the islands while we were at different stops. It was great to be on a small bus with only 24 passengers - a much more intimate experience than a big tour. We had long stops at several places so got to see parts of Oahu in detail. Please if you take this tour be courteous to your fellow passengers and be promptly back to the bus at the time your guide specifies as you delay the tour if you are not.

It was wonderful. Our bus driver was from the Island and we learnt a lot from her. It was everything they said it would be. We were only in Hawaii for a week and did not rent a car, so this was a great way to see the Island. I did a lot of research on who to go with before I booked . I very highly recommend this company. Everything was on time . No problems at all. It was a small bus. (maybe 20 people). So very personal.

The whole day was excellent. josh our tour guide picked us up on time and explained what we could expect throughout the day. The waterfall was beautiful. The beaches spectacular. I am convinced the Hawaiians have handed Waikiki over to the tourists and keep the good beaches a guarded secret....can't blame them as they are spectacular.

A pleasant day with numerous interesting stops. Waimea Valley waterfall was not all that impressive compared to others we have seen and swimming with life jackets and lifeguards nearby took away from the overall atmosphere - but the gardens were quite nice. Enjoyed a basic lunch on the beach at Secret Island. Our guide was friendly but we were very disappointed that she told us and others (a number of times ) at the first pick up stop to sit on the wrong side of the bus for the best views of the coastline - and it was the beaches and coastline we particularly wanted to see. The bus filled and we were left sitting on the inland side of the bus with few glimpses of sea and coastline. Apart from that the day went well and we were happy we did this tour. If you want coastal views sit on the driver's side of the bus if travelling to the North Shore beaches first.

Great tour!! Our tour guide Kevin was very good had lots of stuff to tell us about where we were going. We wouldn't have been able to see as much as we did if we didn't take this tour. The waterfall was great we only had 20 mins for swimming but it was still a lot of time!
