Jamaican Canopy Tour from Ocho Rios
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Fly like a bird through the trees and jungle canopy on this zipline adventure in Jamaica! Safely in your harness, you'll soar through a series of horizontal traverses. Enjoy a bird's eye view and marvel at the beautiful scenery from above! At some parts of the tour, you'll catch a glimpse of the Caribbean Sea. Your experienced and informed guides will ensure you learn everything possible about the surrounding areas!
Soar over the spectacular jungle canopy of Cranbrook Flower Forest on nine thrilling zip-line traverses. This exhilarating adventure includes a nature walk through a lush jungle of flowering trees and an adrenaline-fueled trip across the canopy!
After instruction from extensively trained guides, you'll take a short nature walk to the first traverse platform nestled on the hillside overlooking the treetops and jungle canopy. You'll then soar through the trees on an intricate system of harnesses, pulleys and carabiners on horizontal traverses.
Nine traverses, from 105 feet to 660 feet (31 to 200 meters) apart, have you swinging through the Laughlands River Gorge, a giant valley carved from the surrounding mountain by ancient rivers.
From your bird's-eye view, you'll survey the flora and fauna of this magnificent landscape and learn interesting facts about the surrounding plant life from your well-informed guide. At different points in the tour, you'll even catch a glimpse of the Caribbean Sea.
After leaving the valley, you'll really fly, embarking on a series of long throws, with the last traverse being 600 feet (180 meters) long. Here, after removing your equipment, you can unwind from your exhilarating adventure with a walk through the flowering trees of Cranbrook Forest.
There is a lot of walking/hiking but well worth it, The guys where all very funny helpful and made sure everyone was safe the entire Time.

Really great driver (Barbie) and great staff at the zip line. _br/_ It does involve a lot of stairs and walking so if you are unable to this would not be the tour for you.

My experience was awesome, and I would definitely come back.but the only problem is the brochure said that we would get water and mosquito repellant and we did not receive any thing at all and we were all dieing for thirst after the trip.but all the workers delivered excellent service, keep up the good work

OH MY GOD this was so much FUN. The guides were so nice to be around and they told us so much about the different flowers and plants while we were finished. I only wish the pictures were not so expensive. If they changes the price I think more people would by them. At 75 a pop that is a little steep. Other than that I would totally do this again.

Guides were very professional and helpful, but also had a good sense of humor. It was our first time ziplining but won't be our last. We had a blast! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

I enjoyed my canopy tour zip lining . The guides were great and very knowledgeable. The only negative comment I have was confirming the tour with the tour operator, chukka , was a horror. I made numerous attempts to no avail , they need to improve that area of their business

Absolutely brilliant! Great staff and great time had by all. Wish it could have been longer!!! Will definitely do it again.

Awesome experience for my 2 girls and I. The teams were very professional and made some of our scariest moments a blast. The hike to the first platform was long and challenging. The ride down on the truck was almost as exciting as the zip line.

Tour was fun. Guides friendly. Photos they took were blurry and overpriced though. Be prepared to tip both driver and canopy tour guides!!

Very cool! Not just the ziplines, but also the "jeep" ride to the location, and the guides! The guides were the best part, they had great personalities and playfully poked a little fun. Walking back to the shuttle after the last line, one of the guides took the time to show my husband and I some of the more interesting plant life, totally made the tour even more memorable!

Exciting and fun safe trip. The kids loved it, 9 zip lines were great, worth doing

Was fun! Our13 and 16 yr old didn't think it was adventurous enough though

The walk down to the first zip line was much to long for people not used to that type of terrain. My wife's legs hurt for three days. Would not recommend this tour

Very safety conscious, professional guides. Enjoyed the ziplines very much.

Really great tour!! Junior was the best...will take video and pictures during your trip with your camera (just bring a little extra tipping money for him!!) Short drive from our resort. Little confusion with pick-up...make sure you call the day before to re-confirm. I would suggest having someone at your resort that is local to do this for you if you trust them. We would do this again...and look forward to the next zip line tour!!

Loved every moment of the tour except the rough ride to the top of the mountain. Rough road going up but well worth for the trip back down the mountain. Bring camera because walk back to the bus through the woods and village provides many postcard images.

Very good experience in Ocho Rios. Bus ride up the mountain was great, with a fantastic guide at the wheel. As for the zipline, the equipment was in top-notch condition and the staff very professional and experienced. The ziplines themselves were a lot of fun but could have been longer and more intense however, I'm not a great judge since it takes quite a lot to get my adrenaline going and my wife was screaming like a little girl. Gorgeous scenery from the platforms, but especially while riding the lines! The only downside was the walk down to the first platform, we spent a full 10-15 minutes walking down the biggest staircase I've ever been on.

This was a great canopy tour, though a little short. The staff was friendly and helpful. The ziplines were long and fast. The only really bad thing was the 20-30 minute walk downhill at the beginning. We were told it was a walk, not a mountain decent on stairs cut out of the hill! It was pretty brutal for the shorter members of the tour. Maybe they could cut out some more steps in the middle of those very high ones and make this tour very close to perfect.

Everything went well except for the fact that I confirmed the booking via email but somehow the confirmation didn't get through to the appropriate people. If it weren't for the resort where we were staying, we may have never been picked up. I guess I would say be sure to confirm via phone even though the website says email is OK. Everything else was perfect.

A fantastic experience! We had a group of 8 with ages ranging from 23 to 71 and each and every person had a safe, fun and unbelievable experience! The staff is beyond belief both with their patience, their humor, and their overall priority of safety. Thank you to all for a day we will remember forever!

When my 15 year old son and I got to the mountain we were more than a little nervous, but the staff were excellent and made us feel at ease. It was the best excursion I ever took! It was an experience of a lifetime, a must do in Jamaica!

This was a lot of fun and well worth the time and money! The personnel are real pros, and despite the look of the event, it is very fun and very easy.
Be advised that there is a fair amount of walking up and down stairs, not ordinary stairs, either! You need to be steady on your feet, but it wasn't unreasonable. Have a lot of fun on this!

We saved approximately 50 booking our tour through Viator and got exactly the same tour as everyone who paid the higher rate. Actually, we got a better tour because we had money left over to spend on other things we wanted to do and buy on our vacation. Thank you, Viator.

I would probably give this a 2 and a half star--the zip-lining was definitely awesome, but it seemed like we were kind of rushed through in several spots and then had to wait around in others. I think our group was a little too big; there were probably 20-30 people all going at the same time. The staff was great, and very professional and helpful, and we had to go fast between platforms for safety reasons, but it seemed like it was over too quickly, and we didn't get a chance to just sit back and enjoy the ride. Also, I suggest that if you want to take pictures of people in your party on the zip-lines, make sure there are 2-3 people separating you. Otherwise you won't have any time to get your camera out. Of course, they will try to sell you all sorts of pictures at the end of the tour!

The zip line tour was great, and all the staff were extremely polite and strove to make our trip fun. To get to the start of the zip line requires a travel up the mountain through two communities. It allows you to see a different part of the community besides the luxury of the resorts and how the locals live. I wish the trip was longer!!

This trip is a great value. Enjoyed the journey up the mountain on the bus! Be sure to look back at the view. The canopy ride is fabulous, the guides are excellent and did everything to make it both safe and entertaining. The walk out through the park was another unexpected treat, the flowers and trees are just spectacular.

Don't spend your whole Jamaican vacation in a resort, have an adventure. I am 54 years old, out of shape and afraid of heights and I had a fantastic time! Yeah, mon.

Went on other tours in Jamaica and this one is the best value. Canopy portion was awesome, people very professional and concerned with safety. Equipment very good. Enjoy the ride up the mountain and walk though jungle afterwards too.
