Gospel Brunch and Orlando City Tour

Orlando, United States of America

Enjoy a professional gospel music performance at the House of Blues while you indulge in a southern home cooked brunch. Your tour will also include a fantastic Orlando City Tour, which includes a scenic boat ride in Winter Park and a visit to Disney's City of Celebration.

Begin your tour at Lake Eola. Established in 1888, this was the first piece of land that was donated to the city of Orlando to be made into public spaces. Continue to Winter Park, the self-proclaimed 'Venice of America' due to its canals and cobbled streets. Here you will take a 1-hour cruise along the Chain of Lakes.

In the afternoon you will have some free time to explore the chic Park Avenue. Peruse the upscale boutiques, specialty retailers, quaint cafes and art galleries.

Next, enjoy the gospel tour at the House of Blues, where you'll listen to local singers perform a professional gospel music show. Spend around 1.5 hours at the House of Blues and dine on a southern home-cooked brunch. (A sample menu is listed below.)

Your final stop will be the Disney built town of Celebration. The town is directly connected to Walt Disney World by World Drive and is the first Disney planned community development.

Please note:

  • Brunch starts at approximately 1pm. On most Sunday mornings there is a farmers market at Lake Eola where, if time permits, you will be able to purchase some locally produce and specialty items.
  • Reservations can only be made 180 days in advance. You can submit your requests however this is subject to availability.

Wonderful informative day. Learned many new things about Orlando. Cruise was delightful seeing homes of the rich and famous in Winter Park. Winter Park village was quaint with unique shops and cafes although time was limited there. The lunch buffet was good. The gospel sing was very exuberant at The House of Blues in Disney Springs. I would recommend this tour.

Enjoyed this day tour. Winter park is a lovely area to visit and we all loved the boat ride. Gospel brunch was great, lots of good food choices and brilliant atmosphere. Just a couple of things stopped me giving a 5 star review, firstly the tour advertises a visit to Celebration, we expected time to wander around there, maybe get a drink or ice cream, but we were just allowed off bus a couple of minutes for photos then straight off again. Also we were charged an extra 25 dollars for hotel pick up. In hindsight we would have been cheaper making our own way by taxi to pick up point. Some fellow travellers spent 1.5 hours on pick up bus before actual trip.

The tour was great and our guide very knowledgeable. A great experience. The House of Blues was awesome as always and if in Orlando, I would recommend this tour. We went into Orlando and Winter Park and even took a boat tour of one of the lakes. Very nice!!

Too many issues with this tour. Itinerary changed from when we originally booked it. City tour ok but we were left at a Sunday market for 15 mins which was only just opening - why? If we have time to spare why not pick us up later? Arrive at Winter Park for boat tour and are told to sit anywhere. We sit at front and tour begins but then guide asks us to move as we are too heavy - how embarrassing. The guide also made several comments to our friends which were not necessary including " that is the island where most kids loose their virginity". It then gets worse as we are dumped in Park Ave for 1 hour to shop! Why - we are from Overseas and not interested in chic boutiques or art - half the shops not open anyway - rest of travellers also just sitting waiting for van to return. Arrive at House of Blues for Brunch - which is usually held between breakfast and lunch! Therefore 1 pm is lunch! Food was good but performance mediocre. Only knew 1 song that they sung - obviously don't cater for international audiences. So now it is 3 pm some 6 and a half hours since we started so we are ready to go home but no we get taken to look at some houses that Disney built. Wow is this Orlando's claim to fame! Thought we were looking at them on the way to dropping people off but no we get told this is a 45 min stop to eat and drink and shop - I mean really we have just eaten and once again they are shops we are not interested in. My wife put her foot down and said no that she wanted to go home. This is not worth your time or money.

Tour changed since booking- if know new itinerary would not have booked. Went for Gospel Brunch- I thought brunch was between breakfast and lunch not at 1pm. Started with City Tour- drove past 'Ghetto' and told we didn't have time to see more then wandered around "exclusive homes" and taken to a farmers market which was not required.Went on boat tour, told to sit anywhere then our friends were asked to move from front seat as too heavy and he didn't want water on the carpet which was already wet from the rain, very embarrassing. Guide also made an inappropriate comment to my wife about the island "lots of kids have lost their vaginity there". Dropped off at Park Street to look a shops which 1/2 were closed and most people sat down and just waited for van. Then onto Gospel Brunch- they were good but did not cater for international people as only sang 1 of the old songs- rest were ones we had never heard. Also air conditioning was too cold. Lunch was good and we all ate very well. Thought this was end of tour and would be dropped off at car but no, off to look at more houses. This was OK as we thought it was on our way home, until we were being dropped off for shopping and coffee for 45 mins. Not required and we declined and asked to finish. Driver was nice but his driving was poor, he kept twitching the steering wheel even when driving straight, causing lots of movement in back of van-mentioned movement when at cruise but nothing changed. Commentary was muffled and difficult to understand- even when asked to move mike away from mouth he didn't.

Awesome! We ended up on stage with Kirk Franklin representing a married couple that had been married a long time. We were celebrating our 29th anniversary at the time. Wonderful experience! The music, entertainment and food was incredible! We ended up on YouTube! We have been the "talk" of family and friends.

This was a terrific day. Our driver was outstanding and did every thing in his power to satisfy all our wants which was exception. The Gospel Brunch exceeded our expectations and I only wish that we have that kind of spritual melody here in Australia.... a wonderful day.

Overall, had a very pleasant day. The boat tour scenery was beautiful. City tours were very informative and visited really upscale areas. The main event, the Gospel Brunch was a blessing! The singing group was very inspiring and gifted, but would have liked to hear a few more songs. The food was delicious. It was an interesting and entertaining day.

This tour was a great one overall however the tour bus did not pick up from my hotel which meant I had to pay for a cab to take me to a nearby hotel where the tour bus did come by. I had to wait around for a while before the bus came along and when it did there was no one to meet and greet. I had to go and inquire if the bus parked up was the correct one for my tour. Once I established it was, they welcomed me onboard and took us to another meeting point where smaller mini vans picked up different groups of people doing different tours. This tour began with a general drive around the city of Orlando with the driver pointing out various attractions. We made many stops along the way and had many photo opportunities. One of the highlights was the scenic boat tour along some of Orlando's many lakes which was very interesting. The other highlight of course was the House of Blues Gospel brunch in Downtown Disney. You are seated in huge dining hall and treated to a wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch items (all you can eat) and then the Gospel show began which was fun and uplifting. Overall this tour involves a lot of driving around and stop offs which can become tedious after a few hours driving around in a bumpy minivan but I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see the city of Orlando in a nutshell and who wants to enjoy some Gospel music and soul food. The tour finished around 4pm which left plenty of time for evening activities. Great weather in Orlando made it even more enjoyable.

The Gospel Brunch was very good, the boat cruise was good but the tour was quite poor. It started too early so that you got to and left the farmers market before it started. The bus used was too cramped and not very comfortable.

Appreciated the small group and our driver Ismael was really impressive because he cheerfully accommodated the tour for non-english speaking person and a lady with a wheelchair. Really enjoyed the boat tour and the gospel music was excellent and the food was plentiful but just ok. Other than that I enjoyed the pace and the stops and the guide.

A wonderful day out that enabled us to see that there was more to Orlando than theme parks. The Gospel Concert was most enjoyable and the food was fantastic. We all agreed that it was the highlight of our holiday.

The atmosphere and the food was divine! However, the group performing was not as good or effective as I thought they were going to be. I wanted to hear songs that ALL could join in and participate vocally. It was spiritual words to secular music. Not my type of worship or praise at a gospel brunch. I would prefer a more "spiritual group" with "spirit-led" and "spirit-filled" praise songs.

Great show really enjoyed it. But 2 couples from Washington DC got bumped from the tour, did not see gospel show, they were really disappointed.

The concert was great, the guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Our only complaint was that we needed a snack break as we were picked up at 7:30 am and did not have the meal until 1 pm. We were very hungry by then.
