GReat tour guide Izzy gave us an informative tour of Paris as we walked from delicious chocolate shop to another. IN the shops, we tasted samples and learned about the various ingredients used to make unique treats. UNfortunately we only visited four shops rather than the advertised five.

Review by:   SER617,    September 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
My guide was delightful, but suffering from a terrible cold, which was unappetizing. The others on the tour included some folks who were more focused on posing for pictures of each other and, often, declining to eat the chocolate. It was surely an off day for this tour -- and disappointing. The chocolate was excellent, though!

Good but not great about sums it up. One very nice stop 'Edwart' which is very interesting and very thoughtful about sharing many of their products. The others? Kinda stuck up on themselves and you get one little tiny sample of product or a macaron, which is not chocolate. I expected something more decadent for the money.

Highly recommend. Such a great time, and our tour guide, David, was fantastic. We learned a lot, tasted amazing chocolates/treats, and got to explore the city a bit all at the same time. Would do it again.

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was Celine. Our group of 3 was the only group for the afternoon so it was very intimate. She introduced us to some amazing chocolate and macaroons and the value was great.

Loved the tour and our guide was great. We even found a chocolatier that we visit every time we are back thanks to that tour. Wonderful chocolate with a good variety of places. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Melissa, was a dream! She was so sweet and friendly. Out of the 4 of us, 2 were semi under the weather recovering from a stomach bug. When we didn't want to taste the chocolate, she made sure to get us some to go home with us for when we felt better. This is a really neat way to see Paris. But, a note - this is not like getting turtles or a Russell Stover box - this is Haute chocolate at its finest. The shops you visit win awards and the chocolatiers put together combinations like chocolate, lemon and basil. Don't do this tour if you want chocolate and caramel at every stop. If you're adventurous and a foodie - sign up NOW!

Tour guide was very nice, knowledgeable and the chocolate was delicious, however, the tour itself was somewhat lacking in value.. You can easily just go yourself to the chocolate shops and have samples, ask questions and make purchases. This tour would probably be better either paired with a wine tasting or with a cooking/dessert class.

We had the sweetest and best guide. Sampled so many chocolates and also got to learn a lot of interesting facts about Chocolatiers in Paris. Do this tour! You won't regret it if you're a foodie.

Our tour was wonderful! David, our guide, was a perfect balance of knowledge and fun. We not only enjoyed the chocolate, but also the history and architecture information. I would highly recommend.

This was an excellent tour thanks to our lovely guide, Sylvie. She was so knowledgable and sweet. We enjoyed spending the time touring the chocolate shops and hearing about the chocolate history and other historical facts about the area we walked in. We especially enjoyed a stop a Angelina and #39;s.

The tour was lovely and so was the guide Celine. My only comments are two: 1. It would be good if the guide showed herself more of a guide as we were standing next to each other for 5 min without knowing - 2. We loved the artisanal chocolate shops, and not the commercial like laduree

Had such a fun time on this tour. Guide was so sweet and answered so many questions about Paris for us. She even took us to the metro after the tour, helped us buy tickets and put us on the right train to get back to our hotel. Her name was Melissa. Definitely worth the time and money.

Our guide David was great, but sadly we only went to 4 of the advertised 5 chocolate shops, which was a bit sad... but none the less, a fun few hours with some free chocolate to boot and a friendly guide who was able to answer all of our questions.

Wanted something different at a reasonable price. My wife is a chocolate lover - so this seemed ideal. Our guide was a pleasant young American: at least language wouldn't be a problem.

Our tour guide was great. Very personable and fun. We also enjoyed that the tour only included the 8 of us traveling together. I would say this is a tour I would only take if I have a lot of time in Paris or have been there before. There is so much more to see in Paris.

Where to begin? Christine was amazing, personal and very well versed on chocolate. She gained us access to some of the best chocolate houses in Paris and we were thrilled to try the works of art they are not only beautiful but uniquely delicious. Christine took our children under her wing and made us all feel at home in Paris. Thank you Viator and especially Christine!!

Fantastic afternoon visiting chocolate and macaroon boutiques in the 1st arr. Our tour guide was knowledgable and full of interesting facts about all of the chocolatiers and was very polite and respectful. It truly felt like a tasting experience without any commercial push or pressure to buy something in each shop--although we did make some fantastic purchases. Our kids, aged 8 and 10 loved it! Was a highlight of the trip!

Our walking chocolate tour was 'awesome' according to Lucaya, our non-year old granddaughter for whom this trip to Paris was organized. Adeline was a wonderful guide. Lucaya pronounced her 'cool'. Her knowledge of the history of chocolate, particularly as it pertains to France, is impressive and she delivered the information in a fun and amiable way. The 2-hour tour was just long enough and covered a nice variety of shops specializing in different things. VERY ENJOYABLE!

Adeline was a joy! Besides having a lot of fun eating chocolate, we were provided with a great deal of history of the area. She also provided us with a great restaurant recommendation which we followed and were not disappointed. Thanks for helping to make our Paris visit so perfect!

Review by:   Sandra P,    July 2014 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't get to spend much time at each chocolate shop - would have liked to have more time to browse around and get chance to purchase some of the great chocolate. At two shops, our guide got samples for us, however, we ate them on the way to the next stop, which didn't leave much time to buy more (essential for a chocoholic like myself). Nice chance to walk around Paris.

Review by:   Melissa Y,    July 2014 Review: 4 star rating: Recommended
We loved this! Our guide Maryam was wonderful--very pleasant and very knowledgeable. She was very in tune with everyone's likes and dislikes on chocolate and chose samples for each accordingly. She knew a lot of history and fun facts as well. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to have people bring a bottle of water with them or provide for them--needed to cleanse your palate after tasting each. Overall we loved it and would recommend it!
