The Prague Castle tour was as expected....very good. We were transported by a small bus from the city center up to the top of Castle Hill. The tour guide was very informative, telling us about the history of the Castle. We were able to comfortably see what we wanted to see. Lots of walking during this 3.5 hour tour. Only thing I would change would be to allow some shopping time on Golden Lane before walking down the hill.

Tour was very disjointed. Guide tried hard but 2 French speaking people so the 15 others had to stand around as every site was discussed in French. Never paused for a bathroom break for 3 hrs. My tours with Absolute tours were much better.

I enjoyed this tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and a nice person. He answered everyone's questions with detail and enthusiasm. He likes his job and it showed! Made for an enjoyable tour. Would recommend this tour.

The castle grounds are so large it would be really hard to take it all in without a tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject which made it that much more interesting. The tour was a lot of walking, often up hill, and usually on uneven cobblestones. One of the members of our group had her elderly mother with her, and it became clear that the walking was really challenging. For me, the walking was great and the view of the city from the top of the hill was spectacular! I highly recommend this tour!

Excellent tour guide who went out of her way to explain the detailed history of Prague. She kept the tour lively and was able to keep the attention of children to adults. At the end of the tour she went out of her way to direct us to another historical site we wanted to visit that was not on the tour. Our tour was bi-lingual English and Spanish.

Very nice job from our Tour Guide, what kept things flowing and got us through a very busy area. only reason not a 5 is the castle itself is so busy we spent a lot of time in lines, being jostled in a crowd.

It was a great tour, very informative, we only had 6 people in the group and it was great! The guide was very nice and accommodating, she was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions including the ones outside of the tour content. I would say that visit the castle without the guide wouldnt be as interesting and informative. _br/_ Some things you should know: this tour is really long and you have to stand or walk the entire time, so be prepared for that, also many city tours stop at the castle and give some basic information about it so if you dont have time you may skip the castle tour, but if you can do it, I highly recommend it.

Excellent tour and outstanding guide! Our guide clearly feels proud of being Czech and took the time to point out every important detail of the Castle. She made this tour unforgettable.

We signed up for an English tour. But found out that they do the tour in 2 Languages. So we were on the English/Spanish tour. The guide would explain everything in English for 7 of us and then re-explain everything again in Spanish for 3 people. We noticed the same on an English/German tour with the same company. So the tour really takes twice as long and you spend a lot of time listening in another language. It really disturbs the flow of the tour and makes it really long and leaves the feeling that there is more information you could be getting during this time. Its not the guides fault obviously the company has decided this is a good experience. I could tell we missed things that I would l have heard if I would have just rented the audio tour at the castle. I would recommend if something like this bothers you... double check to see if they do 2 languages at the same time. We couldn't wait for the tour to be over it really felt like a waste of time.

These tour are all about the guides and I got a VERY soft spoken one and basically could not hear anything. No one in our could and we were all laughing about it. Don't get me wrong, she was very sweet and nice and all that, but I got nothing out of the tour and should have just gotten the audio guides that are available at the castle. This tour was not 3 hours. We were in the van 1 hour and still not at the castle. We had to go to the other side of town in traffic to a second meeting spot to pick up a second group of people which cut into our time significantly. My advice- be certain that you will get what you are expecting or just get the audio guides. For us, there was no benefit in having a tour guide for this event.

The guide was wonderful, however, shame on Viator and Prague Sightseeing Tours, for having English and French speaking tour group. The guide had to translate everything which resulted in less information for both the English and the French. Plus, there were no audio transmitting devices. The road noise and crowd noise made it very difficult to hear. I believe my party of 4 people only heard about 30 of what the guide said. My previous experience with Viator tours in Rome was that the guide always used the audio devices. Very disappointing, but NOT because of the tour guide, but because of poor organization by the tour company.

The Castle was great. But the tour guide wasn't the best. First, our group had more people than she figured and we had to wait over an hour of our tour so she could get the right number of tickets. The company or her should have had that corrected before leaving on the trip. Because of this she cut our trip short and quick. She also didn't speak clear and because of the number of people in the area it was hard to hear her. She should have used the whisper system. Because of the wait for tickets most people in the group were not into the tour and hard to keep people together. Again the castle and everything around was great but just wish we had more time to see all of it.

Our guide was very organized and informative. Prague Castle is a huge place, so it was great to see all the interesting places in 3.5 hours. The walk through the Golden Lane and down the vineyard was fun.

Guide name may have been Lily? failed to count number of guests on the bus before departing the meeting point. When we arrived at the Prague Castle, the guide was two tickets short. All guests were able to present proof of purchase. Rather than immediately purchase two more tickets, the guide kept consulting the head office. After a 45 minute delay at the gate, the guide finally purchased the extra tickets for the tour to commence. During the entire tour, the guide mostly spoke with her back to the group so you could not hear what she was saying this continued even when the problem was brought to her attention. The guide showed little interest. The majority of the group abandoned the tour before its conclusion. We've used Viator on numerous occasions this was by far the worst tour we've experienced.

This tour would have been so much better if the local operator had not added a Spanish-speaking family to the English tour at the last moment. This caused the tour guide to have to continually repeat everything in both languages and thereby wasting a lot of time for both the English and Spanish tourists and limiting the information he could have covered. The tour also needed personal audio guide boxes so all of the members could hear. The guide often walked ahead speaking in front of him so the majority of the people behind him could not hear anything.

The tourguide talked as he lead the group so we could not hear him. His voice was projecting forward and as we were behind him we could not hear. Also he did not wait for the entire group to come together before he began his commentary. We were not that big of a group. If he would have just waited one minute the ones of us in the back could have heard all of the info. I would not recommend this tour guide.

This was a great tour. I did not catch the name of our guide, but she was a charming young Czech girl. Her English and Spanish were good and it was kind of charming when she would struggle for the English word. She was very open with her views on Czech life and was very happy to answer questions that were really off the tour subject.

The tour guide did not speak good English at all. She was extremely rude and would not wait for one of my family members to use the restroom. She gave us the tickets at that point and said I am not waiting and am no longer responsible. Additionally there was no microphone or anything so it was also impossible to hear her. A horrible trip and a waste of money.

Its the worst tour we could have ever done, solely because of the pathetic guide -- Anna --that we got. She had no clue about how to handle a group of people or how to be a professional guide at all. She had no interest in her clients who had paid money to enjoy this so called informative tour. She was walking at her own pace without even bothering if he group is with her or not. Also, most importantly she was not knowledgeable at all and was giving all vague information only when asked point blank else she would just not care to tell you anything and keep walking. She was speaking so softly that only two or at the max three people in the front could hear her and in spite of telling her numerous times that she's not audible by multiple people in the group, it just fell on deaf ears. It also happened that she gave the group a ten minutes break and requested every one to assemble at a spot, we would have reached barely a minute late and we found out that she left not just us but 5 more people and moved on. Some how we managed to found her almost at a distance of 350mts and she said that she waited for us. It seemed she started post the break before the ten minuted got over else she could have not covered that much distance in a minutes time. Any way, after this incidence ten people including the three of us left the group and decided to do the tour on our own. _br/_ By far the WORST tour we have ever done with the most pathetic guide Anna. We wasted our money, Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TOUR WITH THIS GUIDE. Its just not worth it.

It has taken me 2 years to write this review. This was the single worst tour I ever took. It was so bad, that aspects of it were actually funny. Our tour guide spoke broken often times incomprehensible English. She took us through crowded areas in the Castle walking rapidly, and not holding up anything to help us stay together as a group. At one point she abandoned us for some unknown reason for awhile, and we were not sure if she was going to return. She did unfortunately and so we resumed our odyssey of unintelligible narration until my wife and I finally decided we would probably get more out of the Castle by going our separate way. We noticed that most of our group did the same. Really a shame, because if we had a decent guide this would have been a wonderful tour.

I was disappointed, in the tour, not the castle. Firstly, the tour, slotted for 11.30am from Republic Square, began only at 12.10pm because the bus took us first to Prague's Old Town and then to Wenceslas Square to pick up other travellers. Wasn't the pick up point at Republic Square? Why did they have to pick people up from other places and waste everybody else's time? This tour's itinerary listed only the castle, so I thought I'd have the full 3.5 hours there, and I'd already done those other two spots. Next, our guide, a young lady whose name I can't remember, didn't seem very knowledgeable and spoke in halting English which curbed her ability to describe places and history in greater detail. Look, I'm not from a majority English-speaking nation and understand that the Czech Republic isn't one either, but even in broken English one could have been more descriptive and insightful and this young lady just wasn't. It seemed as if she was reading from a basic script, without adding much colour or local insight. She was sweet to wait in the 15-minute queue for the cathedral, giving us time to grab a bite before going in. However, because of the late start, the rest of the tour felt rushed and this led, eventually, to one of the weakest points in the tour: when she briskly walked us downhill, right past a great viewpoint, past the security barrier, without giving us a chance to snap any photos of the city. I walked back up only to be told, by the guards, that because I'd crossed the barrier gate, I would have to queue up to go back in, although the viewpoint was just meters away I don't blame them, as many others were in the queue. The guide should have given us at least five minutes at that viewpoint or told us that we would be coming to a spot where we could take photos and leave it to us to decide whether we wanted to stop or continue past the barrier down to Charles Bridge with her. We were crossing so many barriers in and out of different areas in the castle that I didn't realise that that barrier was a 'point of no return'. A proper description of what we were going to do would have been helpful so we could decide whether to finish the tour with her or stay on up at the castle. In fact, this tour didn't give us any time to enjoy the scenery from the castle or much time to appreciate the stunning architecture around us. I felt cheated of a great experience at the castle. I would've loved to spend more time there.

This was a good tour. Unfortunately, on the day I went it was VERY cold, raining, and windy. But the guide did as much as possible to make it pleasant. She had great information about the castle, and had great english. We toured many of the buildings, many of which were impressive. Would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a good tour. We learned a lot but it ended up being 5 hours and we didn't have a lot of time to stop in at some of the places. Time was constrained. Also, our tour guide spent so much time in the cathedral that it took away from other parts of the tour. Her specialty was talking about religion. I am a Christian and enjoy learning about these things however, it was too much. 5 hours walking in the heat with not much of a chance to really enjoy what we saw was a bit much. Prague however, is my favorite city! I absolutely love it there.

Actually, the castle is a great place to visit and I enjoyed it immensely, but it would have been improved if my guide had not disappeared before we even got into the castle. After searching for her for 20 minutes I bought myself a ticket and an audioguide and did it myself. I have to admit the trip up to the castle in the minivan was a help. I am sure the other 4, yes there were only 5 of us, had a great time.

This tour was alright. We went to the places we were meant to visit, but it took almost twice as long. What was originally supposed to be a 2 1/2 - 3 hour tour turned into 4 1/2 hours! I signed up for an English speaking only tour, but the guide ended up having to speak both German and English because we had a couple who were from Germany. The information she provided throughout the tour was very textbook-ish, and nothing very interesting. There was also a lot of dead space in between walking to the sites, so there was no commentary or information about where we were going or what we were walking past until we got to our sites. We also had to wait 15 minutes for our guide to pick up our tickets to enter the facilities, which added more time to when we could have been actually touring.

The tour guide was fun and informative but it felt rushed. The tour was a bit improvised because things didn't work out quite the way he'd intended. We couldn't get inside the main church because the line was an hour long. Our tour guide tried to butt all of us in at the start of the line we all ducked under the rope and of course this led to a lot of justifiable booing and people yelling Shame on you. Embarrassed, we ducked back under the rope and the guide told us that our tickets would be good for tomorrow, so we could come back on our own then. The whole reason one goes on a guided tour is to avoid these kinds of issues.

This tour could be done in half the time, I found it to be very slow and I was struggling to stay engaged. I feel like I didn't make the best use of my limited time in Prague, because this tour takes a significant amount of time, but doesn't really go very far. It's a beautiful city, but this tour took a large part of the day, and I feel that I missed out on other things. If you want to do it, do it early in the day or at the end of your day.
