This was the highlight of our trip! Clarise I hope I have that right was fantastic- hit just the right note, incorporating history of the area, some architectural insights, and conversation sprinkled with anecdotes and interesting stories. The seven restaurants/food providers were extremely gracious and delicious. Well worth the money and time!

The guide on this trip was okay but the tour was a bust. It was less a food tour like the ones I've had in other cities and more of a traveling restaurant advertisement. At each stop someone would talk too long about the restaurant or shop, what you could buy there, how you should come back later for dinner or whatever. The samples were pitiful. They were a bite of this or that. I was hungry when we started and starving after we were finished. Whoever runs this should go to Paris or Rome and go on their food tours. Those tours educate you on the country's culture and the history of the neighborhood in which you are touring. The food is plentiful and delicious and a wonderful examples of how the food is unique to the country.

What a great tour! We loved all of the tastings- our daughter was pregnant and they made her special tastings and non-alcoholic drinks. We even went back to 2 of the restaurants.

Clarisse was an amazing guide on a well-designed tour of eating places and traditional Quebec cuisine items. Each stop nicely completed a part of the food spectrum from the obligatory and expected Poutine to farm-to-table wild game. Just a nibble and a small drink at most of the seven stops, so not a dinner replacement, but a very nice appetizer.

Neal gave us some excellent examples of local food-- I wish that we had done the tour earlier in the week so we could go back to some of the places we visited. There were only 4 of us, so we got lots of attention and were able to get in and out of the venues quickly and move on to the next stop.

If we could give this tour 6 stars, we would. Not only did the three of us sample delicious food from 8 different locations, but Dominico, our guide, introduced us to the people of Trastevere. Of the four stupendous tours we experienced with Viator, this one was our favorite.

Great way to see a bit of city that I may not have seen, the restaurateurs were very welcoming, I wish they had given us a list of stops because I don't know if I will remember them upon my return to the city next summer, I want to go back to a few restaurants

The tour was nice until the last stop when the guide tells you that he isn't taking you back to the starting point. Left alone without a map and no idea where you are, not nice. The single woman on the tour was very nervous about finding her way back.

This tour was wonderful! The food and drinks sampling was fun, tasty an interesting. We walked to areas of Quebec that we had not thought to go. Be sure to do this tour when in Quebec City.

We enjoyed our food tour walking around the streets of Old Town Quebec with a touch on Newer Uptown. The food was very good - Salmon, Cod Fritters, Crepes, Chocolates, Maple Products and plenty of Wine, Cider and more. Our tour guide Richard was very informative telling us about the important sites we passed in the city on our walk and all of the pleasant greeters at each stop informed us about their tastings as well as the property we visiited. We would take the tour again on our next visit since we had so much fun. The only reason I rated this as a 4 rather than a 5 was that we had a hard time hearing Richard talk to everyone at times since he talked away from us much of the time. He needed to stand in front of everyone and face us all. Very nice person and watched out for us so we all stayed close together.

The guide was clever and provided just enough information about the city and the food. He was crystal clear about what the tour was and was not. It was a great experience and the tastes of Quebec were great!

Enjoyed the walk but could have used some bigger samples to taste. It was a real tease to the appetite. Guide was knowledgeable and nice. She walked at a comfortable pace throughout the tastings. The city is beautiful.

The food tour guide, Richard, wove in historical vignettes about Old Quebec. He took us to seven amazing stops that featured local and traditional restaurants and shops. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We loved the places Richard introduced us to that we ended up eating and drinking at four of the same locations the next day - we were too full to try the last three. _br/_ Thank you for the amazing historical lessons while on this absolutely delicious food tour.

Simon was a fantastic guide. There were 5 of us and we enjoyed this tour immensely. We were only disappointed that we did not get to do the beer stop that as described in the description of the tour. Would recommend this tour!

Fantastic walking tour of Old Quebec that also included food and beverages. Jocelyn was our guide and took us to visit restaurants and pubs to sample smoked salmon with maple syrup, karibu, local honey, wild boar pate, smoked chicken club, poutine, apple cider and maple syrups and candies. Very informative tour, but a lot of walking. We would highly recommend this tour to those who want a taste of the city.

Quebec is a fun place, lovely, mid-sized and approachable with enough French culture to make one feel as if being abroad.

We've taken food tours before and enjoyed them. This was more like a forced march thru the city. The Maple store was the highlight. I would have preferred to sample restaurants closer to each other. Our guide was good at describing some interesting sites in the city and city history.

Danny took us on an interesting and delicious tour of Montreal - the Food Market, which was fabulous, and out of the way cafes that we would never have experienced. We highly recommend this tour.

Very much enjoyed tasting the food and drink that was local for the city. Enjoyed the various restaurants environments. Our tour guide as well as those that we met at each stop were very informative about the different foods that we were eating.

We were delighted when our guide for the second walking tour of the day turned out to be Jocelyn. Her knowledge and enthusiasm really make the tour. Enjoyed learning the back stories of the foodie places we visited, as well as the abundant variety of tasty samples. In a city known for delicious French food, this was a great introduction. While it is nearly a requirement to try the local specialty, I must admit that I am not a poutine-lover. But you won't find better tomatoes anywhere!

We were told this tour would last 2 1/2 hours, but when it started we were told it was 3 hours. More importantly, we expected the tour to end where it started - but in fact it ended more than 1/2 hour away from start. The length and ending point conflicted with plans we had for after the tour. _br/_ Tour guide was very good._br/_ Food tastings were good - but we had to leave before the tour ended so we did not get to the last 2 tastings.

Simon was an excellent guide and host. After checking in, we were told by office staff to wait outside. We saw a group of folks with the same type ID stickers, so we joined them only to discover that we had joined the French-speaking tour! Oops. As we were heading back inside, Simon recognized us as belonging to HIS group and brought us into the fold. After explaining a few ground rules, we started off. Simon spent time getting to know each of us. He is very knowledgeable of the history of Keh-bec proper pronunciation! and the food scene there. By keeping us moving at a brisk pace, we were able to spend a good amount of time in each venue. We needed to leave the tour early as we had to be back to our cruise ship before the tour's end, and Simon was kind enough to call a taxi for us to make sure we got back timely. All the foods we tasted were quite unique and flavorful. If/when we return to Quebec, we will definitely do this again.

Wonderful food walking tour. Jocelyn was an excellent guide. Knowlegeable about Quebec and her love of the city is evident. The choices for food samplings were excellent and fun! Length of tour and distance covered was appropriate. Would recommend this tour!

Booked my tour online, very easy process, Judith our guide was wonderful, moved the rather large, 17 group easily and quickly through our seven stops, a good variety. Judith explained the history of the buildings and of Quebec city, which I liked._br/_ The hosts at each stop did a great job of explaining their menus and overall operation._br/_ Two comments, samples of foods were very, very small, a good variety but disappointing in amount, also several stops included wine and some members of our tour avoid alcohol, some stops offered water, another option would be nice._br/_ Overall a very enjoyable tour, I would certainly use Viator again.

Can't say enough good things about this tour! Our guide Clarice was ever so friendly, knowledgeable and informative about Quebec City history and the cultural influences of the French, English, Irish and Indigenous people throughout the centuries on local food. We were treated to, I believe, 5 stops along the tour. A highlight for me was the smoked salmon canapé and tasty liqueur at La Buche. My friend and I were so impressed we had our final supper in Quebec City here....yum!! And you have to check out the graffitied restrooms! So cool! Eat lightly before the tour, because though it starts out with tiny appetizers and drinks, you will definitely be full after all the maple syrup treats and the crepe at the last stop!

We really enjoyed the experience of this food tour. It was a wonderful way to begin our time in Quebec City. Michael did a great job in providing information about sites and the food tastings. I would highly recommend this. My only concern was that there were 3 small children on the trip. We spent time playing 'catch-up', and it is often difficult for them to sit quietly and listen. I think there should be an age restriction on a tour of this nature.

The tour was very nice. Judith was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable of Quebec's history. We got to see different parts of the city and the tour was definitely worth the money. I would recommend taking the tour the first day you are there so you will have an idea the second day of places to eat and tour!

This 2.5 hour tour was fun, interesting, educational and the food/drinks were great too! Our guide, Micheal O'Neill was knowledgable and shared his love of the history of Quebec. His sense of humour and stories made it so much more than just a tour. We went to seven spots and had a great variety of local and traditional food and drinks. Something for everyone. I would highly recommend this tour and would take it again. We met people from all over the world and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. _br/_ Because there is a lot of walking and it is up and down many hills it may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The tour guide, Simon, was excellent: the best tour guide I have ever had for a walking tour. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and very engaging. He was also very understanding when one of the members of the tour developed a problem with walking. As is understandable, the tour visited many establishments that were creating a unique niche for themselves in the food market rather than the top restaurants in Quebec. Thus, the tour shows the creative side of the Quebec food scene that might otherwise be missed by a tourist. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all on the tour!

We took this delightful walking tour and absolutely loved and recommend it. Simon was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and fun. He took us to some really amazing places that we would never have discovered on our own. Every stop we made was very unique. This tour is well worth your time and money.

Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Jocelyne was a joy and took us to seven unique venues. _br/_ Lovely samples including smoked salmon, poutine, maple syrup products, cod fritters, crêpes, and homemade chocolates complemented by a variety of convivial beverages. Would totally do this tour again.

Tour was great. Definitely wear your walking shoes! Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable. The stops on the food tour were great, got to see different parts of the city. The portions at a couple places were quite small but that was the only thing I am being picky about. Recommend this so you can taste different flavors of the city and also see different neighborhoods away from the congested area from the Château Frontenac.

We were in Quebec for Carnevale and thought we would try this food tour for something different to do. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Our tour guide, Margarita, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable about Quebec as well as all of the food and drink we sampled. Each stop was unique and highly informative. At each venue, there was someone who would explain the food and drink we were going to sample as well as give background on the the establishment or product the were selling. The best part was we went to places we had never been we've been to Old Quebec four times and got to sample a number of new things. If you are able to take this tour and we highly recommend you do, definitely try to get Margarita as your guide as she is also a highlight of the tour.

We really liked the variety of foods we tasted on this tour. While you would not fill up on any of the individual sample it had the feel of a progressive appetizer outing. And the wines we were offered were equally interesting. Well worth the price.

Tour started out great. Tour guide was snippy about my desire to videorecord her dialog. ??? Food was okay. Enjoyed the local hard sparkling cider, the french fries with gravy stop. THe Candy stop combined with the Maple Sugar stop were too much sweet for anyone with diabetes diet. Overall this tour was not on par with other Viator tours I have taken elsewhere.

Simon was interested in the people on his tour, passionate about foods in QC, informed about the history and local legends which was a great introduction for us to the city. The array and diversity of the food stops was excellent - we appreciated the exposure to traditional Quebecoise cuisine and culture. Would highly recommend, especially at the beginning of a QC stay.
