Our visit to Cotopaxi National Park and the Quilotoa creator lake was a wonderful introduction to the natural wonders and culture of Ecuador. Roberto, our guide, was knowledgeable and informative, friendly and upbeat. It was along day on the bus, but Robertos running commentaries gave us many insights into the environments that we encountered, as well as insights into the indigenous communities of the Central highlands. We would highly recommend this trip to others.

This tour is a long bus ride 8-9 hours and only about 3-4 hours of actual sightseeing. There's a late lunch and at Quilotoa Volcano it was foggy, so that not much can be seen. It's a long day.

Great to see both Cotopaxi and Quilatoa in one day. Beware - long day. Don't make plans for that night you may be back later than expected and tired! Great guide - very informative.

A great day with a very fun and informed guide, Ivan from Gray Line. The tour to Cotopaxi was breathtaking, Clouds disappearing from Cotopaxi Volcano, the walk out to the marshland, a lunch, visiting the Canon Del Rio and The Laguna Verde Quilotoa. Full of information I returned to my Hotel with an overload of information. A wonderful day with a great guide. _br/_ A day not to be missed. Thank you Ivan!

We saw both Cotopaxi and Quilotoa, and we even saw a condor flying above. We got a good feel for the countryside including vertical farming and rural life. The guide was professional and had so much information to share! It was a fun day, and I learned a lot.

A once in a lifetime experience that was very very well managed by the tour operators

My husband and I were the only 2 non-Spanish speaking ones on the tour, so the guide catered to everyone else, and we got a translation long after we had left what we were seeing, and a half-hearted translation at that. But, we should speak Spanish, guess it's our fault. Also, it seemed like the driving was most of the tour, but was nice to see the countryside, even if it had to be from a crowded van.

From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off, this was a magnificent trip. Well organized and led by the most enthusiastic of guides, Alfonso, we were also blessed with magnificent weather which allowed us to see Cotapaxi in all its splendor. The train ride was fun, the walk around the lake allowed for a full appreciation of the environment and the final stop at the hacienda put the icing on the cake. Thank you.

The tour guide was excellent, with so much knowledge, very accommodating to everyone i.e. those who spoke Spanish and English, and just really nice. This was a great tour and I would certainly book again with this company.

Cotopaxi was a great day trip from Quito -- and an opportunity to experience all of the seasons in one day a warm morning, snow at midday, rain in the afternoon, and a hot evening. The guide was very knowledgeable and told lots of stories along the way. A good trip.

People who expect to climb to the lodge and walk around the volcano at that level should choose another tour. The new choice of restaurant is all right . In all, it is a tour for people who do not wish to climb and have a look at Cotopaxi from the lagoon.

What a perfect day to see so much- the weather was clear- the park and volcano is magnificent and our guide and driver were top notch! Lunch and tour at the Hacienda was so unique ( and delicious!). Our guide and Driver were so kind, knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor! Highly recommend - Ecuador is beautiful and so are it's lovely residents. Thank you for a unforgettable day! I cannot even begin to say how disappointed we are with this trip, since we were dumped by the tour people. No one came to pick us up and we had to return to our hotel after waiting for several minutes!!!!!!. Highly irresponsible conduct on the part of the tour company.

We had 3 beautiful views of Cotopaxi for about 4 minutes each time. The market was the best we have seen and the guide was excellent.

A very fun day with an excellent guide! We especially enjoyed the hike on Cotopaxi, even if it was somewhat cloud covered at the time. We got luck later in the day and had a fabulous look at the entire volcano. Lunch at the hacienda was delicious.

The tour was not as described, we were very excited to go to San Augustin del Callo Hacienda, the one listed in the tour, with all it's horses and alpacas and Cotopaxi view. Instead we were brought to some other place and wasted a bunch of time at some rose farm next door that wasn't on the itinerary. Cotopaxi was great, and so was the guide, but other than that the tour wasn't what we paid for.

Good tour but again only spent about 40 minutes at Cotopaxi National Park, would have like to spend much more time there as the weather was good for the best photos of the volcano. Hacienda and additional option of visiting a Rose growing business was superb. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly, overall a very good tour.

I was the only guest on this tour. Picked me up at a hotel a few blocks from where I was staying, rather than my hotel. Trip to the Park was worthwhile, rest of the tour was not.

I love volcanos. Cotopaxi was covered by clouds when we arrived . As we left, the cloud line lifted and we could see the peak! WOW!!! The hacienda was amazing! You have to eat lunch there! You will be sorry if you don't! Now I want to come back and hike to the top! Thanks Juan David!

Best day of all. The National Park is beautiful, the Hacienda too, and the visit of the rose factory was also awsome. Great guide with great knowledge of everything.

Loved the trip up to Cotopaxi. It all started with a fun little train ride up into the highlands outside Quito and continued on a bus up to the base of the volcano. A National Park guide provided excellent information and commentary. Lunch at the hacienda was great with a huge menu to choose from and very friendly and helpful staff.

Nothing exciting about the tour, the journey to cotapaxi was drawn out by using the old train and the lagoon in the national park was nothing to get excited about_br/_ Cotopaxi was shrouded with clouds so no great view there_br/_ Hacienda for lunch was ok and reasonable prices_br/_ Was something to do I guess!

We drove thru some beautiful country in addition to the national park. I especially enjoyed the train ride from Quito to the park. Afterwards we had a nice, relaxing lunch with music from a local group at a beautiful hacienda.

I was disappointed that this tour did not visit the colourful market at Sasquisili as promised in the tour information. Other people I spoke to later had been to this market on the same day with a different tour operator. The animal only market closer to Quito we visited instead was no substitute. Visit to lake was OK.

The weather was not cooperating, so we didn't see Cotopaxi, but later we were taken to very colorful village market and this was a highlight of the tour._br/_ We had a great lunch lunch in hacienda. Driving in Ecuador seems very dangerous, but thanks good driver we survived and got back in one piece to the hotel.

I liked a lot. The critical point in these tours, however, tend to be: does one carry you higher than the parking area (Parquerado, 4500 m)? But in my case the weather was already a reason not to continue. The most amazing thing was that this tour existed even that I was the only participant (with a driver and with a guide)!

Trip was ok, as long as you know what you're getting yourself in for. Guide was very good and viewing Cotopaxi is by no means a guarantee, depending on the weather. We got 'lucky' and managed a 5 minute glimpse when it wasn't covered in cloud. After seeing the mountain, we had a short stroll by a lake, a trip to a market, and a visit to a hacienda. All ok, but nothing major. We met other travellers who did a tour where they could do a small walk up Cotopaxi, so spent more time at the national park, something we wished we'd done. On another note, we had real issues contacting the tour operator for a confirmation pick up time, via email. We had to ring the day before, and even then they arrived earlier than stated.
