Blue Lagoon Spa with Roundtrip Transport from Reykjavik

Reykjavik, Iceland

Find the ultimate relaxation when in Reykjavik on this excursion to the Blue Lagoon. Surrounded by lava fields and snow-capped mountains, the Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa outside the city where you can bathe in the warm waters, have a water massage or enjoy a spa treatment. With your transportation all arranged, just lie back and relax, before catching your transport back to your hotel in Reykjavik or to Keflavik Airport for your flight home.

A visit of Iceland’s Blue Lagoon will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed for the rest of your trip. If you’re looking for a unique, blissful experience while in Reykjavik, this is it. A geothermal spa in a lava field south of Reykjavik, the Blue Lagoon is one of the most popular sites in Iceland. Its hot water, which stays an inviting 96 to 102 degrees Fahrenheit (36 to 39 degrees Celsius), has been known to be wonderful for the skin.

The Blue Lagoon's warm water and natural active ingredients (mineral salts, silica and blue-green algae) soothe your body and de-stress your mind. The lagoon's white silica mud gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin and has a revitalizing effect. The blue-green algae nourishes and softens your skin, while the mineral salts balance and relax both body and soul.

Choose from a regular bathing experience or upgrade to an exclusive bath for a touch of luxury.

Swimming costumes, towels and bath robes are available for hire, and an indoor Blue Lagoon and geothermal sauna are also on site. Bathing in this stunning environment is a unique experience that no one should miss and is sure to be one of the highlights of your visit to Iceland.

Amazing, the best experience ever! We were in winter and I was worried about take off my bathrobe and get in the pool, but it just took 5 seconds to get in the pool from the bathrobe area! We arrived at 7:00 am and we leaved at 4:00 pm! Amazing

The tour is amazing. The blue lagoon is very beautiful. The warm water of the lagoon in such cold weather is really fantastic. We have a great time in the lagoon.

We enjoyed soaking in the Blue Lagoon. The place is so organized. You receive an RDIF band when entering and use it to open and close your locker and for any purchases. You can rent a towel, robe and flip flops. You can also purchase food.

The Blue Lagoon is a must see while in Iceland, but be prepared for crowds and over priced beauty products. The bus from Reykjavik was right on time and easy, but we did have to get off one bus and get on a 2nd bus before being brought to the Blue Lagoon. It was fine, but we didn't expect the bus transfer part and it did end up taking longer to get to the lagoon than anticipated. The locker room situation is pure chaos--not very spa like at all, but if you can muscle through it and get out to the lagoon as quickly as possible, you may really enjoy this place. We found it to be a bit too commercial and pool-like to be worth the expense, but it was still a beautiful place to see.

Gorgeous place! Our tour was supposed to be during the day, but due to schedule problems we went at night. Wow, just wow! Simply amazing!

It has to be experienced to be believed. It is literally like walking in up to your neck in the most perfect bath. you come out felling invigorated and fresh, head into the restaurant Lava attached to the resort for the most amazing meal after. Service excellent a well organised trip with Gray Line Tours

This was the highlight of our Icelandic adventure. The lagoon is amazing and spotlessly clean and organised. Make sure you check out the swim up bar!_br/_ The transport with greyline was also highly recommended and efficient. We were picked up from our hotel door.

The bus trip to Blue Lagoon was great but the return trip, the bus driver did not listen properly to our hotel name which we did say very clearly to him and he didn't send us back to our hotel saying we told him something else and told us to walk back and reluctant to send us. _br/_ Hence, four old folks had to bare the cold and walk back to the hotel.

The Blu lagoon is amazing. We had to book the 07.00 am departure because there were not other possibilities but was the best ever. We saw the sunrise there and was amazing. We could enjoy the blu lagoon during the night (just a few persons) and during the day (very busy). I highly recommend !

This place is great. You lose track of time when your in the water. The pool itself is very large. I had visited hot pools in Costa Rica which were small in comparison. The drinks available while in the lagoon is something crazy, though there should be greater options. You will need to personally monitor your self for any adverse conditions. We might have stayed to long in the water as I got skin itches through out the next day from the minerals. The scheduling of the transportation is done very well.

This is something that you should experience when visiting Iceland. Maybe renting a car for a day and driving out there is more economical, going to other places as well -- nearly 80 for the 45-minute bus ride and admission to the Blue Lagoon, with the silica mask included. I added the 20,000ISK upgrade after I arrived to get a towel, a free drink and the algae mask. Not sure what the cost is to rent a swimsuit, if you are just coming from the nearby airport on a layover. The water is great, it wasn't crowded when I was there.

A great trip, minibus pick now not a certain hotels but that wasn't a problem as bus stop a minute around the corner. Hiring of towels or robes a bit expensive so if you have your own take them. Can get busy but the lagoon is huge so explore !

Review by:   Juliet,    April 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
I changed the time for my entrance in the blue lagoon and then reverted it back. However this did not reach the tour operator. Bad logistics and communication on Viator's part.

The transportation provided was great even during the snow storm that they were experiencing. Check in at the Lagoon was simple and the lagoon itself was magical. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Reykjavik.

We had terrible weather but it was a great experience. I wouldn't bother renting a bathrobe as there is a a small area where you leave them and your's ends up getting taken anyway. You don't tend to be wearing it much unless you are having lunch there. I would arrive as early as possible to avoid que's - we hardly had to wait at all and when we were leaving in mid-afternoon, there was a huge line to get it, Would 100 recommend going.

A wonderful day out. It is so relaxing and spacious, there are saunas and steam rooms and a massage waterfall. Despite the large number of people in the pools as it is so big, you don't feel crowded at all. There is a mud mask station where you can dip your hand into a big bucket of mud and cover your face with it, the pools are full of people swimming round with the mask blobbed on. You are advised to condition your hair before entering the pools as the minerals in the pool water dry it out, the conditioner and shower gels are provided but a few people also took swim caps.

This was amazing! The shuttle picked us up directly in front of our hotel and took us to a bigger bus where we quickly left for the Blue Lagoon. A comfortable and short 45 minutes later we were walking up to the Lagoon entrance. A short que to get our wristbands and towels. We upgraded to the next package to include beverage of choice, algae face mask and bigger towel Probably would have gone up one package higher to include the robe in hindsight. The dressing rooms were clean and there was plenty of storage room for our things. The Lagoon itself is amazing. There were a lot of people there but it's so large it didn't feel crowded at all. A bit pricey for the drinks and food but it's what you come to expect after spending a couple of days in Iceland. The bus was waiting to take us back into town on the hour and we were dropped off a minute's walk from our hotel. A fun, relaxing day and our 6 year old's favorite part of Iceland!

Booked the trip for the afternoon of our last day. Pick up prompt from our hotel. Entrance to place was quick. I booked the basic package. Took our own towels. You can buy the face mask and drinks as you go. This worked cheaper. Don't need gowns if you're not stopping for the day. It was a wonderful experience- the masks were great fun - although they do make your skin really cold if it's windy! A magical place, wouldn't be my favourite experience in Iceland, if you're on a budget, skip it - a magical place it is, but just a giant warm bath! Good changing rooms and lockers.

We did not go into the Lagoon itself-not prepared with proper clothing. We walked the trail around it and enjoyed it. Beautiful spot.

The pick up and drop off was on time and went smoothly. We were picked up at our hotel by a smaller shuttle, taken to the bus terminal, where we had to pick up our official bus/blue lagoon tickets, and then we boarded a bigger bus. The line at the Blue Lagoon wasn't too bad. The tour tickets only gets you the base level at the Blue Lagoon, we decided to pay extra for the Comfort level. I recommend this level since it gets you a free drink at the swim up bar as well as the algae mask. The drink pays for the upgrade already. And if you do the silica mask, you'll want to do the algae mask after, as the silica mask dries out your skin quite a bit. The Blue Lagoon was cool, but I don't know how people stay a whole day there. We got kind of bored after about 2 hours. haha. But that's just us. If you love hot springs, this is for you. Buses run every hour for the return to Reykjavik except after the 7PM bus, the last one is at 9PM. The bus dropped us off just around the corner from our hotel, so that was very convenient. If you want to do the blue lagoon, I'd recommend this tour. Most other tours I found only provided the transportation, not admission into the lagoon.

Wow! What a place, a must see for anyone thinking of going do it, you won't be disappointed. Me and my partner had a great time. Even though it was busy it didn't feel like it when you actually got into the lagoon. Make sure you take your own towels though. It ran very smooth too considering the amount of people there. Get a mud mask and try the cider from the outdoor swim up bar it's lush!

Fabulous trip, loved the blue lagoon. The Grayline bus was very comfortable and super being picked up and dropped off at apt. We upgraded to comfort package and hired towels and had a free drink and algae mud mask. The silica mud mask is included in entrance few. Everything is very well organised.

There is not much to say about the blue lagoon that has not already been said._br/_ We did the basic package with coach trip to and from the city with Grey lines booked via Viator. The pickup was on time in the city then we transferred to the coach and of to the spa._br/_ Once at the spa we rented a towel and a robe it was cheaper than upgrading to a different package with things we did not want._br/_ It was quite busy when we arrived but as all things in Iceland they manged thing very efficiently and the queue moved quickly._br/_ The Lockers did give me a bit of a brain freeze as how they worked its always the simplest things that are the hardest to work out but I was not the only one with a puzzled look._br/_ The blue lagoon is a great experience and I think going to Iceland and not giving it a try is missing out._br/_ The feeling of from waist down pretty hoy and waist up freezing is weird at first then you dip down to your neck and just have a cold head .

This is a must do experience and do try the green algae clay for your face. The staff were very obliging and helpful, would only suggest not to bother hiring a dressing gown at an extra cost 1400kr it is not needed for the short journey outside and there that many on the hooks mine got taken.
