Reykjavik Combo: Blue Lagoon Round-Trip Transport plus Golden Circle Half Day Tour

Reykjavik, Iceland

Combine two tours in one combo for the perfect Icelandic experience. Start your morning relaxing at the Blue Lagoon surrounded by lava fields and snow capped mountains. Enjoy the afternoon touring Gulfoss, Geysir and other Icelandic natural phenomena. Perfect if you don't have much time at your disposal and want to make the most of your visit to Reykjavik when you book these tours together.

Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is a unique geothermal spa in a lava field south of Reykjavik. You'll have 2 unguided hours here to do as you please. Perhaps you'll take a relaxing bath or massage in the milky blue-green water of the huge outdoor lagoon. The waters have curative powers, and the sensation of lying in a warm outdoor spa surrounded by snowfields is uniquely relaxing.

Choose from a regular bathing experience or upgrade to an exclusive bath for a touch of luxury. Swimming costumes, towels and bath robes are available for hire (own expense). If you'd prefer not to bathe, perhaps you'd like to take a walk in the Blue Lagoon's spectacular surroundings.

Gulfoss and Geysir Express
In the afternoon, the tour continues from Reykjavik with the Gulfoss and Geysir Express half-day trip. The tour begins with a visit to Thingvellir, a geologically unique place where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. The Icelandic parliament Alpingi was established here in 930, and in 2004 Thingvellir was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List.

You will also see the majestic and beautiful waterfall Gullfoss, the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur. After driving by the village of Hveragerdi, with its large greenhouses cultivating all manner of fruit, vegetables and flowers, the tour returns to the capital.

Please note the Blue Lagoon will be closed from 5 Jan - 21 Jan, 2016

Loved that we could do the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon all in one day!

Blue lagoon was great. Disappointed that we had to return to the bus terminal to catch a different bus for the golden circle tour. Also the bus diverted from the route twice off the route to pickup other passengers, adding 45 minutes to the drive. also seats on bus were to close together causing back pain not comfortable adding to the extra 45 minutes for those pickups that were not part of the advertised tour. Would not recommend this tour to friends.

This was our first day in Iceland. Viator bus drivers and tour guides were right on time and made the day of sightseeing most enjoyable.

Fantastic tour, I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about going to Iceland. The Blue Lagoon was incredible and the Golden Circle is a must see.

Really worth doing especially if you are tight for time then definately doing both in one day. Also I would recommend that you only need to do the Golden Circle tour half a day rather than a full day as some tours offer which I think that half a day is enough.

We got to the Blue Lagoon at 9 am, the staff were very helpful and there were not too many people there.By the time we left it was quite busy. The Golden Circle tour was just fantastic, the driver, guide, scenery and weather, just perfect.

This should have been a great trip. However our tickets said pick up 7.30 for 8 a.m departure. It turned out should have been 6.30 pick up for 7am! Our hotel reception were marvellous sorting this out and getting us to the blue lagoon where we joined our bus for the golden circle tour in the afternoon. Meant we had a lot less time at the lagoon than planned. Tour guy on golden circle called Swan was fantastic, knowledgeable and funny.

Bus driver very friendly and has luggage storage on the bus and at the lagoon at entrance before walking down the path. They were on time both ways. Cheaper than taxi too!

In hindsight I think we would have preferred to have done the Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle tour on separate days as we could have easily spent longer in the Blue Lagoon and the first chance we had to eat any lunch was at 3pm on the Golden Circle Tour. Also the maximum we stopped at any of the Golden Circle Tour sights was an hour so we all felt fairly rushed.

Darren, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining! Blue Lagoon and the Golden Circle are a must when visiting Iceland!

We only had two days in Iceland so this was a great way to fit a lot into one day. The blue lagoon is an amazing experience and our guide for the afternoon Golden Circle Tour was excellent. If you only have a short time in Reyjavik this is an excellent trip to do.

We had a wonderful day. It was a big day, but well worth it.The Blue Lagoon was amazing. The beautiful warm water and face masks that left your skin feeling beautiful. What was lovely for us, was the experience of swimming in the lagoon while it snowed. The remainder of the tour to the geysers and National Park was excellent. Our guide was excellent and the scenery magnificent. It was cold and snowing, but for this time of the year it was part of the wonderful experience. We were so glad that we went to Iceland.

This is a split trip, you have to return to the coach station at Reykjavik after visiting the blue lagoon to change coaches for the golden circle tour. This limits your time at the blue lagoon, we only had about 45 minutes in the water, but for us this was ok, if you want to be there longer do a separate trip. Our golden circle guide was amazing, he was very informative and funny, scenery was breathtaking, another must trip when visiting Iceland.

This tour in the winter is a little difficult due to the cold! It limited the time to spend at each site. However, the sights are worth it, and the tour guide pointed out things along the route, and gave us stories and background. The Blue Lagoon is a bucket list item and not to be missed!

Perfect tour as I only had 1 day in Iceland. At the airport I was informed that there was now an earlier shuttle so I didn and #39;t have to go all the way into town to then get to the blue lagoon... got to see a lot in one day! Was worth it!

Great tour especially the Blue Lagoon. We were able to enjoy the lagoon for 4 hours both experiencing it in the dark and the daylight.

This trip is a trip of a lifetime. It was perfectly organized, and gave us just the right amount of time at the Blue Lagoon, and the tour was wonderful. I would highly recommend this, as it is a full day and takes in everything you would want to see.

This review is not about the Blue Lagoon or Golden Circle - those things are magnificent and definitely worth seeing. My issue is with the tour company who provided this tour.

A very good day but very rushed would recommend a full day at the lagoon we barely dipped our toes in the water and had to get out in time for us to continue the tour

This tour was great. _br/_ Loved being at blue lagoon in the morning before it got busy however would have been nice to end with the lagoon after a busy day. _br/_ Bus was comfortable, no toilet but stopped often enough that it was alright. _br/_ Overall great day!

The Gulfoss Waterfall and Blue Lagoon are the two best things to see in Iceland. It's more challenging in the Winter because the sun sets so early, but it was still amazing to see both. You dont need a full day at either, so doing this combination tour is the best plan.

If you're pushed for time this is a great tour to see the biggest attractions in one day. Ideally I would've spent more time at the blue lagoon, but I was still there for a good couple of hours and it's absolutely wonderful. I was so relaxed - it was just what I needed. The tour guide Darren on the Golden Circle part of the tour is a great guy. He knows his stuff and keeps you going on the long drives between sights. The national park is stunning, the waterfall is just amazing and the geysers were also impressive. I'm really glad I booked through Viator - I didn't have to confirm my bookings and they showed up right on time.

The organisation of this trip was first class. From the hotel pick-up to drop-off.The Blue Lagoon was gorgeous and the other visits were good. The gentleman who gave us some information about Iceland was very good. Why only 4 stars and not 5? The bus has a breakdown so we lost 1hr of Lagoon time! ;(

Fab trip but could have done with 10 minutes less at falls as the darkness was coming in fast as we got to the geysirs so not the best shots

I would give this a 3 1/2._br/_ It was a long day! I would have loved more time at Blue lagoon soaking under the bright sun!_br/_ The Island tour was informational, but we did not get to spend time with horses . There were stops to pick up other passengers en route which wasted time. _br/_ I loved the geysers and waterfall we saw and the landscape where the tectonic plates merge was amazing!

Very happy with all aspects of the trip. Great value with lots of Icelandic exposure. Blue Lagoon was streamline, modern and exceeded my expectations. Golden Circle Tour Guide was informative and humorous. Buses were clean and comfortable. Wish that Blue Lagoon came in the afternoon and Golden Circle 1/2 day tour in the morning but there's probably a good reason for the order selected.. Thank you.

We had a lot of confusion with setting a pickup location. Nobody ever contacted me about this, so I reached out after being contact by my other 2 tours, saying we couldn't be picked up at our specified location. And good thing I did, because, of course, they said they couldn't pick up there! What would've happened if I didn't reach out?

Great day though a long one. We really enjoyed the tour, the scenery. The guide who helped us perfect the Icelandic HUH as seen at the World Cup. To top it off the whippy icecream in shop by geysers amazing! Learnt a lot about the history and current economics of the country. It's a trip that has to be done!

The Blue Lagoon, located a few miles outside of Reykjavik, is a man-made lagoon set among lava fields. I think it is more interesting in the abstract, dreaming of a natural hot spring lagoon where you enjoy the warm water amidst cold temperatures. I was happy for the experience, but this was not why I went to discover Iceland. I think the experience just varies with the individual dreamer.
