Roatan Shore Excursion: East Island Tour
Roatan, Honduras
While you’re in port in Roatan, explore the tropical island’s east end away from the crowds on this relaxing shore excursion! Travel by car to a monkey sanctuary with your local guide and then visit one of the island’s sandy beaches. You also have available a guided snorkeling excursion option.
Meet your guide at the Port of Roatan or the Mahogany Bay Cruise Center after your cruise ship docks. Then, hop inside a transfer vehicle and head away from the island’s east end crowds to a monkey sanctuary.
Follow your local guide around the sanctuary and learn about the area’s native wildlife as you get up close to monkeys, parrots, lemurs, tucans and more.
Next, continue to the island’s rugged east coast, where pristine beaches and shady coconut palms abound.
You also have available a guided snorkeling excursion option.
After, enjoy some free time to relax on the beach or have lunch (own expense) before returning to your ship. Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
Worry-Free Shore Excursion: We will ensure your timely return to the Roatan port for this activity. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.
The driver had gotten some bad gas and had car trouble. We got to see two of the sights we wanted, but missed the third entirely. He was able to get a taxi to pick us up about 1/3 of the way into the tour and we did get to see the rest of the island.

This was our first trip to Roatan and it was wonderful. James Woods was our tour guide and he made it so special we want to come back just to see him! Will recommend him and the tour. 5 stars

James did a wonderful job of showing us your island. We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience.

Excellent. I found myself wanting to know about the Garifuna culture and wishing for greater exposure of and greater support for this endangered heritage.
