The Heart of Africa is the largest, most exciting new development in San Diego Zoo Safari Park history. It invites you to experience an African style safari as you search for wildlife in the 30-acre habitat. The WAGASA Bush Line Monorail is an incredible 55 minute ride which takes you through Africa and Asia to see animals in the expansive, naturalistic enclosures of San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
Test your wildlife knowledge at the Animal Trackers show, and get up-close and personal with animals at various keeper talks throughout the day. With so much to see and do at San Diego Zoo Safari Park, you are sure to enjoy a day of fun and education for the whole family.

This tour company was extremely useless. They do not care for people at all. Only they do is giving too much stress to peoples' minds. A guy who was very mean to people at Kettner st office told me my ride comes 8:15 to 8:45 am. So I was waiting in front of my hotel by 8 :15 am but finally the transportation came at 9:40 am . I was standing the whole hour and half in front of hotel. When I called their phone 3 times always they said it will come shortly. I am not kidding. Honestly this tour company is extremely useless. If U like to get the same worst experience just book it. Good luck !

Worked well for being in San Diego without a car. Our problem was we didn't have car seats along either and the transportation was more like a van than a bus, so in hindsight we would have rented car seats.

My wife and I visited San Diego Safari Park in September while I was attending a local convention._br/_ We flew from New Jersey and next day took the shuttle to the Park. The weather was beautiful and_br/_ the safari park was excellent. The only complaint was the unhelpful attitude from the customer desk_br/_ at Santa Fe train depot. But we're thankful to a couple tourists who helped us locate the shuttle._br/_ Yes, the Safari Park is worth the trip even flying from East Coast.

The initial hotel pick up was 15 mins late. Then they transported us to the main hub to get on a larger bus. We waited for 30 mins to get on. (by this time the safari park was already open) THEN the pick up from the park was 20 mins late as well. Not very professional. But, way cheaper than a taxi

The Safari Park trip went well. Transportation was on time both going and returning. We had a van going to the park and we returned in a party bus. The park was good, but the heat and the uphill climbing were gruesome.

This was for bus only to the Safari Park. We checked in 15min before departure time. We were talking to the bus driver, then went into the waiting room (cooler) to await departure. We were right outside the 5-Star office until 5 minutes after departure time, when we went into the office. The bus had gone without us! Supervisor called the driver who did not answer at first. She assured us she would locate him then send us in a taxi to him. When contacted he insisted we were there and we learned later he called my name several times. We then waited 25 minutes for him to drive back through moring city traffic and pick us up - no apologies, and there were no explanations to the other passengers. He did not check our ticket and had not checked the others, and obviously cannot count. The trip was 35 miles and took one hour and fifteen minutes because he detoured to Legoland, which none of the Safari Park passengers had been informed of.. Our time at the park was curtailed and we had a bad start to a good day._br/_

This was a wonderful experience. Make sure you have good hiking shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking. There are plenty of resting spot to view the animal. Get a snak or just relax and enjoy the day.

Everything went well. The bus showed up on time. We reached the Safari Park a little after 10 a.m. but we had to leave by 4 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. It would have been better if we could stay till 5 p.m.

This tour was excellent and I would highly recommed to others. Transportation to the Safari park was convenient and on time. The driver was very gracious and dropped all of us to our hotel on the way back. It was a very pleasant and fun experience.

Park was good not great. Zoo was much better.Transportation there was good. Return trip bus had no A/C and it was hot that day but they did supply water which helped. Had to make a stop at Lego Land to pick others up who got lost. Bus driver had to go and find them which waisted another 45 min. All in all it was OK but to us nothing to write home about.

The driver was knowlegeable. He was on time to pick us up at the Park. We saw a lot of Southern CA while heading over to get those who were at Legoland but not a big deal. The Safari Park is excellent. We had enough time there. The whole experience made for a great day. Thank you.

The experience at San Diego zoo Safari was excellent. The transport arrangement worked fine. But there was no add value other than provide the transport and drop and pick us up at the Safari park. For example they could have spoken about the highlights of the Safari park, the various options available there, like the balloon ride, different animal experiences, the various sections of the zoo etc. The travel time to the Park could have been utilized better.

He was great at telling us the history of the area, but I did not need to know that properties are overpriced and that the farms are being pushed out of the way for development. That's more a political opinion than anything. The pickup and drop-off times were accurate. The driver was meticulous in ensuring that everyone who should be aboard was, and he would call dispatch when things were not well. All in all, it's a safe bet that I'd do it again.
