You'll see all 1,000-plus acres of the park as you learn the rich history of this majestic San Francisco green space on a narrated journey. This unique tour is the perfect way to see Golden Gate Park and its hidden gems.
Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike. It's intuitive, but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. You'll have 35 - 45 minutes of training prior to beginning the tour so you can get familiar with the most innovative transportation device of the millennium. You will practice on the Segway until everyone feels comfortable and ready to tour Golden Gate Park!
This small-group tour is limited to 6 people only to ensure a more personal experience.
After a brief training session on your Segway, you will be off to enjoy an eco-friendly tour of San Francisco's magnificent Golden Gate Park! You will cover more distance than a typical walking tour and have the opportunity to stop for photos along the way. Your tour guide will point out local landmarks such as Stow Lake, the Conservatory of Flowers, the Lawn Bowling Courts, the California Academy of Sciences, the deYoung Museum and Shakespeare Garden.
You will also learn about the history of Golden Gate Park, and how it was transformed in the 1870s from barren sand dunes into the flourishing National Historic Place it is today. Your knowledgeable guide will uncover hidden gems, such as Lily Pond, Storybook Cross, Fern Grotto, an amazing Redwood tree grove, and a pioneer log cabin.
This Segway tour is the perfect way to see, learn about and photograph an urban oasis in the heart of San Francisco!

Loved this tour!! We were a group of 6 lead by our fantastic guide, Sierra. We were tutored in how to control the Segway then we were off. We explored much of Golden Gate Park and were told all about it by Sierra, our Mother Duck. We would definitely recommend this tour plus very little skill required

This was one of the best things we did while in San Francisco. They spent a lot of time training us on the segway before we left. The park is just beautiful. We stopped several times for photo ops and our guide was very friendly and funny. We had a blast. I would recommend this tour to everyone that is able.

Jeff was a great tour/segway guide. We are native Northern Californians and learned some very interesting facts during the tour. We also never realized how large Golden Gate Park really is, so we plan on going back to explore more areas of the park. My personal favorite was the National Aids Memorial Grove...very touching.

We did this tour on 17th of April. It was really amazing. Our instructor and tour leader Pretzel was friendly and nice. We had not done Segway beforehe made the learning quite easy for us. Possibly a little too long was spent on the health and safety at the beginning...about 30 mins before we got going. Understand its necessary but been on other tours where more compact instructions were given. The lady we had for the actual tour was lovely, very informative and funny! She made it all very interesting. Lovely way to spend some time in Golden Gate Park.

My goodness this was the highlight of the trip. Julie is the best guide. My siblings and myself are seniors and we had a blast. I was scared at first but they really do a great job of training so you feel better. We saw so much of the park since my sister has a bad hip this would not have been possible.
