Absolutely amazing. I was expecting a good time, though a bit nervous because of segway no experience but all went absolutely great. On a segway Josh did really great job caring about us on the road and keeping us safe from cars while giving a good ride through the city. I would say that both Alkatraz and Segway tour is absolute must have if you are visiting SF!

The visit to Alcatraz is amazing because you get to see first hand one of the most important and famous prisons in US history. My family and I have taken many Segway tours before, and this one was good but not great. The guide was very friendly though. The tour to Alcatraz is the same as other tours available, so take this one only if you're very interested in the Segway tour. Otherwise, there are other Alcatraz options.

Emma was a fantastic guide! I didn't think riding segways would end up being one of the best parts of our trip, but it did. It doesn't take long at all to get used to riding. You go through a quick training and I felt comfortable within a five minutes. We were exposed to more crowded areas to start then the tour proceeded through more remote streets. We did the 10am tour which definitely helped with encountering any traffic. You get a great feel for the city after this tour. You make several stops along the way to rest your legs and take some pictures. Riding the segways can be a little tough on the legs but it was worth it. I would definitely do another segway tour.

Both trips went incredibly smoothly. Ferry to Alcatraz provided great views of the city. We listened to a guide giving a presentation on one of the inmates he had researched which was really interesting. We then did the audio tour which was excellent. We spent about 2 1/2 hours on the island. The segway tour was brilliant. Chris M was our trainer/guide and he had us moving on the segways in no time. My wife and I were amazed at how quickly we picked things up. Chris's tour was excellent. We felt very safe in his hands and he was extremely knowledgeable about the city. My two daughters loved the segways as they are not fond of walking! Now whenever we visit a new city we will be looking out for a segway tour. A fantastic experience and great value for money.

We had an awesome time in this tour. The staff at City Segway Tous were great. Very knowledgeable about the city,equipment, and just generally nice guys. Hugh did a great job with all of our group. We had 8 total. He took time with each rider making sure they felt comfortable on the Segway before we left the storefront. We saw a lot of the city and most of the sites you would expect to see when visiting the city of San Francisco. What an awesome way to get around. _br/_ We also did the Alcatraz tour. What a huge amount of history in that place. The ferry transportation was quick and easily accessible. Allow plenty of time to tour and walk around. This was our first time to ride a Segway. Josh'er' was our tour guide. This was so much fun!!! We felt quite comfortable thanks to the training before taking to the streets of San Francisco. This combination was FANTASTIC! I was initially concerned having it over 2 days, but it was so much better this way - it gave us time to do other things around SF each day. The trip to Alcatraz was great despite the rain. I would have spent even more time there had the weather been better but that wasn't your fault!. The Segway ride was THE BEST - Kevin is THE MAN! He trained us well we were all first timers, has a great sense of humor and knows more about SF than some of the natives! We saw parts of the City that other Segway tours don't cover. Booking was easy, accessing tickets convenient.

Alcatraz, the audio tour is a must, it is terrific. The segway tour is the best trip I have done in my lifetime, I am 67 and my daughter and myself had a ball. The tour guide Kevin was great and was very knowledgeable about San Francisco. Three hours went way to quickly and I will definitely do it again.

This rating is for our actual tour. It was a lot of fun, but it was not what we booked. Viator's confirmed 2:00 pm segway tour on our paperwork was somehow relayed incorrectly as a 10:00 am tour to the segway folks.. Had I not called to confirm locally we would have had nothing!! Kudos to the segway folks who booked my family into another, if shorter, tour.

Great trip. The Alcatraz trip was very good and we joined the initial guided tour with Jim which was very insightful about an ex inmate and what happened throughout his life. A very pationate man. Well worth going and glad we finally got to do this. The audio your is very well done as you move around the prison. The next day we did the Segway tour with our guide John. Again a very informative and fun tour. As a beginner I found the instructions easy to follow and was given good encouragement. We were on the Segways for 3 hours so was well worth the money. We saw a lot of San Fran around the area, much more than I thought, and loved every minute of it. We stopped at places for information, play time, visiting that particular area, questions or just chilling out. The scheduling was very poorly handled._br/_ First on the Alcatraz tour we were there early when the ticking opened but did not get our tickets until after all the walk ups had been served. We could not get a boat to Alcatraz until mid afternoon. _br/_ Then the segway company did not have all our reservations._br/_ I would never use your service again -- all you did was cause us 2 days for frustration for a travel agent you are an advocate for you interests not your clients.

The tour to Alcatraz was wonderful! If you are not a walker it's still worth it because on the island they have a tram to take you to the cell block part of the prison! I did not participate in the Segway tour portion because of the very high down payment needed to take such and finding the office to get it was a pain!

We booked the trip for the Alcatraz tickets. The description said the tickets would be for between 10am and 3pm, but our ferry time was actually 3:50pm. Not ideal as we didnt really have time to explore the island following the cellhouse tour as the last ferry back was at 5:55. Still very enjoyable though. I actually spoke to the company right after booking my tickets to confirm and to find out the time of our ferry. I recommend doing this as it saves having any hassle when on you holiday.

One of the best days out we had whilst in America. The tour guides were very friendly and helpful and took us to some beautiful parts of San Fransisco that we wouldn't have thought to go to, like the Palace of Fine Arts which was stunning. Fantastic....there was a reservation problem but the operations manager, Grant Loveless, resolved all the issues to our entire satisfaction! What a wonderful and professional organization. I recommend all Segway tours as this is the best way to visit any new city.
