I had a great experience on the Ferry Building food tour. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and also very entertaining. The food was incredible. There was a lot of it which was great. We were stuffed at the end of the tour. I went back to some of the stores/restaurants afterward to purchase items to bring home.

We thought that the food on this tour was fine, but the Ferry Plaza was so crowded and noisy on the day that we went, that we could barely hear what our tour guide was saying. The information on the tour was about the stores and the owners - which to be honest, wasn't very exciting or interesting to an out-of-towner. We would've rather heard about the history of the area we were in, or even the history of the food scene in San Francisco.

Very educational and enjoyed the incredible food. Went back later and bought some chili from Prather Ranch, bread from Acme, olive oils and some delicious jam for our Anniversary dinner at our room.

Quinn was the best guide. His interest and personal appreciation of each vendor made the tour such fun! There were only three of us on the tour so it was very low key and individualized. I would call this a don't miss if you have already seen the major tour stops.

Sophia was a fantastic guide in the food market and ferry building. Bring your appetite, you will have a great 2 hour tour. We will do this again on our next trip to S.F.

Great tour! Excellent, knowledgeable guide. My only complaint is that there was so much food. Lots of samples, too large. Guide was very accommodating about me being vegetarian.

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT! Try to do this on a Saturday when all of the vendors are selling local products! By far our favorite tour and day in San Francisco!

we took a tour with Kelly, a chef, of the Ferry Building and the Saturday Farmers market today. only 5 other people were on the tour. Kelly showed us around the building with stops at her favorite shops including chocolate, cheese, meat, fruit and juice. we got free samples at each stop and chats with the proprietors. don't bother to eat breakfast before this tour! she also knows where the secret toilets are so as to avoid crowds. and she is passionate about local and organic and knows her stuff. highly recommended.

I'm a local, but wanted to try doing local tours, and this seemed like an easy way to test out the local options through Viator. I found the tour very informative-- the tour guide was very nice and accommodating. All in all I highly recommend the experience, and plan to try the other food tour options offered in the area.

Amazing time. We went on a Saturday and let me say, I'm so glad we skipped breakfast. We're local and my husband always fancied going to the Ferry Building and I thought maybe a tour would be the way to go--unequivocally yes! We tried so many foods we otherwise wouldn't have. In fact the gluten-free ham and cheese pastry was my favorite item of the day, and I don't even need to be gluten-free. Don't expect samples to be small tastes. By the end of it we were all stuffed to the gills. Our guide Molly was fantastic. She knew the history of the small businesses we visited and had solid roots in the California food revolution. Timing was great too. It wasn't too crowded yet.

The Ferry Building and Ferry Plaza tour was the best and the highlight of our trip._br/_ Our tour was on a weekday, and there were only my wife and myself. However, in spite of only the two of us on the tour Carol ,who conducted the tour, was knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, relating to us the background of how the food was prepared or processed._br/_ This tour was easily the highlight of our San Francisco trip and on future tours, I will first look for Viator.

This was an unbelievable food tour. Meeting the passionate store owners, sampling their organic produce and hearing their stories was a privelage. Our guide Lisa was marvellous and had a wonderful relationship with the stall holders. We left full as a boot, had some leftovers and was a stand out tour on our 7 week visit to the USA.

First of all, the location was great: the market and the Ferry Building. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the building, and all the vendors. We visiting a good selection of businesses where there was a representative to speak with and answer questions. The pace was good and the length of time (2 hours) was perfect as it left time to go back and shop._br/_ Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would use this service again for other tours.

Tour was great but cost was unreasonable. Cost should be more like $30.00 rather than 65.00 a piece. Food was great and guide was great. Just not worth 65.00 a piece. I would recommend taking the tour but lower your price substantially.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Tour focuses on local companies and history of the Ferry Building. The tastings were more than generous, so it is best to go hungry and try to pace yourself. I ended up returning to the Ferry Building and buying items from most of the companies we learned about.

Taking a food tour is a must-do for me every time I visit a city. The Ferry Building is a gourmand's delight, and while it will be doable to explore it on your own, joining a tour enabled us to go to the best places and get the samples that one normally does not get to enjoy unless you're with a tour. With the tour being on a Saturday, we were able to see the HUGE Saturday market just outside the building - San Francisco's biggest market, if I heard correctly.

What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning as a local! Our sweet guide led us to the various food stalls, and we sampled delicious foods from pickles to chocolate to fresh pastries. We met local vendors and got a chance to chat with them. Great for locals and visitors to SF!

Exceeded my expectations. Serena Bartlett was superb. She knew exactly what the visitor would find interesting and asked or added that to the tour.
