The tour takes you on a relaxing sail by catamaran to the uninhabited island of Icacos. Spend the morning exploring the island, collecting shells or swimming offshore in the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea. If you're a novice, you can receive professional instruction in the art of snorkeling.
After you've worked up an appetite, enjoy a scrumptious picnic lunch freshly prepared onboard by the crew, accompanied by pina coladas and rum punch.
After lunch, you'll anchor over a breathtaking coral reef, home to colorful tropical fish and underwater wonders.
Then, after a full day at sea, it's time to hoist the sail for the return trip to San Juan, completing a truly different day in paradise!

As with all of our excursions in Puerto Rico, the crew was great. We had plenty of tropical cocktails. Lunch was sandwiches with wonderful fresh bread the smell was killing me until I finally got to eat some!. Later, they served freshly cut fruit. I would recommend getting in line early for the fruit. We were the last two and the woman right before me took the last of it. The water was beautiful and crystal clear where we snorkeled and below us was a beautiful coral reef with various fish. I suggest getting a waterproof phone case or a disposable waterproof camera because you'll want to take pictures while snorkeling. If not, at least take a Ziploc bag to put your camera and/or phone in while you wade over to the island where they'll anchor and you can get out and play.

Incredible Trip. Started the day with a beautiful hour drive from San Juan to the marina, from there we loaded the Barefoot and set sail. The crew was extremely professional and polite, yet they still knew how to have fun and most importantly make the trip enjoyable for everyone. They had the ingredients to make more drinks then you could enjoy only rum for liquor. They made lunch on board while you are exploring the first island, the food is great and there is plenty to go around. The islands were beautiful and snorkeling was amazing. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Only recommendation is to shop around for the best price. I paid 80 for the trip and 20 for transportation per person. I felt this price was still completely worth it but I did talk to other people who found it for cheaper. Best of luck everyone.

The cruise was a great day event to do! Different and fun. The boat itself was a nice size with a good group of people not overbearingly packed. Food and beverages were all included. The snorkel was great, clear blue waters, and we were able to see many fishes. The crew was entertaining and friendly. We didn't stay at a hotel and they were still able to pick us up/ drop off at the nearest hotel next to our apartment which was very helpful.

This was one of the best tours my family of four took during our trip to Puerto Rico. Being able to visit and snorkel off of deserted islands that we never would have seen otherwise was priceless. The staff and crew were awesome! Very friendly and accommodating. They worked very hard to ensure that everyone had a good time. The lunch was delicious and the drinks were a wonderful treat. If you want to enjoy a nice catamaran ride through stunning Caribbean waters to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, then book this tour!

Excellent day! The captain and crew were a blast! Great picnic lunch and cocktails. We paid for the shuttle bus to bring us to the boat I would definitely plan on that or Uber We were one of the first hotel pick up locations and spent 1 hr on the bus and 1 hr to drive to the boat. I would recommend taking Uber to the boat depending on location. Wonderful day and snorkeling experience!

The snorkeling was just okay and the crew was nice. By the end of it it was more like a booze cruise/disco. I wouldn't do it again. I've heard Vieques and Culebra have much better snorkeling.

This trip was a class act from start to finish. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to a marina in Farjado 45 minutes from Isla Verde area. The Barefoot IV was a large Catamaran with 2 outboards. The boat was pretty big there was lots of room for over 40 people. No problem keeping items dry such as phones and cameras. There were shaded and enclosed areas to avoid the sun. The crew was awesome always asking if you needed something. The lunch and snacks were coldcuts and chicken/tuna salad and fruit simple but nicely presented. While we were off sunbathing/snorkeling on the Island the crew setup lunch. After lunch we hung out on the Island for another 30 minutes then went to a deeper reef 10 minutes away. We saw lots of tropical fish of a wide variety. The water at the reef was about 20 feet deep. The was a stairway down to the water or you could jump off the side with about a 6 foot drop. I highly recommend this trip it was top notch. Jelixa and the Captain went out of their way to make this the perfect trip.

This tour was great. Super friendly staff, beautiful views of the ocean and the beach. They made sure our stomachs and cups were never empty. If you choose to snorkel (definitely do it) the fish swim freely around you, feed them a little piece of bread and they'll come right to you. Would do again!

Everything was amazing. The crew was nice and super attentive. They kept drinks flowing from beginning to end. They have snorkel lessons for anyone who is a newbie. They put up shade which was really nice so you had the option of being in the shade or sun after a few hours. Would do it again!

The highlight of our trip! There were 43 people but it didn and #39;t feel overcrowded. Crew was amazing: friendly, funny, and helpful. The drinks were perfect (strong! :)) and the food was great. We had so much fun that we looked into going back out the next day but the tour was full. Don and #39;t miss this one!

I am glad we stumbled across this excursion because it was a great time in the sun! The unlimited drinks were a great touch highly recommend the hurricane and it didnt hurt that the weather was sunny and perfect! My only complaint about the trip was that the other people on the cruise were kind of boring. There was great music playing and the drinks were flowing, yet most people were just sitting the whole time. If you are able to get a large group of your friends to go with you, do that and you will have the time of your life on this excursion. Also, if you are choosing this trip for the snorkel part, dont! There wasnt much to see and the water wasnt very clear I am comparing this to the snorkel experience I had in the Bahamas which was amazing! But overall, this was a great day to relax and enjoy the beach and the sun. The captain of our cruise was great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a chill day on the water.

This tour was great - it was an actual sailboat catamaran Barefoot and a 30-40 minute ride to nearby Icacos. This uninhabited island was a little piece of paradise, the boat stopped and we had time to swim, snorkel or practice snorkeling with an instructor for any unfamiliar participants and explore the beach. Lunch was served - which offered PLENTY of food to fill up on. Afterwards, we went to an off-shore reef that had some of the best snorkeling I've seen in the Carribean I've been in St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Costa Rica and Cancun. Captain and crew were great and very attentive - they treated us like family and served wonderful drinks all afternoon. We opted for the hotel transport to/from San Juan and although it was a bit long makes lots of stops at different hotels I liked that we didn't have to worry about driving afterwards.

This excursion was definitely the highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico! The ride on the catamaran from the Marina out to our first snorkeling location was about 30 mins. The view was beautiful and the ride was not too bumpy. Right away they started providing us with drinks pina coladas, rum punch, soda, or water. Once we arrived at Icacos Island, we were given some instructions and snorkeling gear to set free to go explore. The crew was available to help anyone who wanted more pointers on snorkeling. When we arrived back to the catamaran about an hour later, lunch was served. We decided to enjoy our lunch on the beach. Then it was time to move to our second snorkeling spot, a beautiful coral reef. After a short ride, we were given brief instructions and set loose again. _br/_ We saw so many beautiful fish and coral! The water was bright blue, and you could easily see all the way to the bottom 20-30 ft down. When we finally got tired and headed back to the catamaran, we enjoyed more drinks and a huge platter of freshly cut fruit. We had some time just to lounge around and enjoy the view from the reef before we headed back to the Marina. All in all, it was a fantastic day, and we would highly recommend Castillo Watersports!!

We had a nice time on this cruise and snorkel. The boat seemed to be over booked. There was not space for everyone. We have been on many of these excursions and it has never been so packed before. That being said the staff was amazing, accommodating, and so kind. The snorkeling was not so good. The water was murky due to rain days before our trip. I will try it again with hopes of clear water and not so many on the boat. It is a great deal for the cost!

Amazing! We chose to use our own transportation and was running late ... and everyone was so accommodating. This was a part of a bachelorette weekend and the crew members were friendly, nice, and AMAZING. The drinks were AMAZING not watered-down.
