Singapore by Night Tour with Dinner

Singapore, Singapore

Savor the sights of Singapore by night with a delicious dinner on this 4-hour experience. Start with a sumptuous Asian-inspired dinner. Afterward, explore the bustling night market at Bugis Street, ambling through its neon-lit maze of bargain stalls. Finish at Smoke and Mirrors bar with the chance to try the famous Singapore Sling (if option selected).

Start your experience with a pickup from your centrally located Singapore or Sentosa Island hotel. Board an air-conditioned coach with your guide and travel downtown for your dining experience.

During your tour, pass the world’s largest fountain, the beautifully illuminated Fountain of Wealth, and admire the spectacular views of Singapore’s central business district from Benjamin Sheares Bridge.

Take a seat at a restaurant and savor a delicious Asian-inspired meal of dishes such as butter prawns and lemon chicken, accompanied with drinks (own expense) from the bar.

Afterward, head for Bugis Street and stroll around its vibrant night market. Amble around the neon-lit stands selling clothes, food and knick-knacks, and hear about the origins of this 800-strong stall fest from your guide.

Finish your night at Singapore’s Smoke and Mirrors bar. Perched atop the iconic National Gallery Singapore, Smoke & Mirrors is a stylish cocktail bar with a spectacular panoramic view of Singapore’s skyline.

If you’ve upgraded to the tour and cocktail option, enjoy an included Singapore Sling (exotic mix of gin, cherry brandy and fresh juices) in this atmospheric bar, a truly decadent experience! Having absorbed the nostalgic setting, end your tour with a drop-off at your hotel.

Excellent tour. Beautiful city

The Dinner was not worth the money. There were too many people trying to get round a buffet counter so by the time you sat down to eat the food was cold. Also there was a lot of waiting around to actually board the coach initially. At the end of the trip we were waiting around again to be returned to our hotel as bus wasnt ready and waiting._br/_ We stopped at the Bugis Night Market not worth going as 25mins stop not really enough time to do anything worthwhile.Only saving grace fir this tour was the cocktail bar where we were able to get a great panoramic view of Marina Bay at night.

Awful from start to finish. If I could give no stars I would. Guide Joseph and I use this term loosely, was rude and was more interested in his mobile phone than his job. Food and restaurant wasn’t nice, cocktail finale was embarrassing as there was a private function so we we shoved in a corner.

Dinner could have been at a better restaurant. It was not the cleanest and the dinner was not the best. Drinks were great at the rooftop terrace.

Welll organised tour, downside was the food included in the dinner was very poor.

Really poor tour, very disappointed. Our guide was not very knowledgeable and did not give much information about the city. We found out more by ourselves just walking a round the city. The Chinese meal was the worst Chinese I had ever tasted and my wife was ill Following eating hers. This restaurant should not be used for tourists, it is a disgrace.

The pick up was punctual and basically the tour drove around the city for us to enjoy the evening sights. We stopped for an hour at a bazaar which was entirely too long. The dinner was the worst I have ever encountered on a Viator tour. All the food was prepared and put on serving platters at least an hour before we arrived. The restaurant was filthy and we were the only patrons. Some of the choices were less than desirable as well. We have used Viator for many of our trips and were totally baffled with the choice of restaurants especially that we, later in the trip had the opportunity to eat in some really reasonable and popular venues in the same city. I put in a formal complaint to Viator when we came back and they are dragging their heels with an investigation which also surprises me. There are so many choices of other tours like this that you should check them out in a city as wonderful as this. Dianne Kuzminski

Dinner was OK if you liked fish, everything was fish just one portion of chicken. Trip to the market was a waste of time hardly any one stayed longer than 10 minutes. We never saw the Marina Bay area or the Gardens by the Bay which are probably the highlights of Singapore.

The guide was great, knew his stuff, he was funny. Had a great Singapore sling in a bar with views looking over the Marins bay sands labour show. Unfortunately the Chinese restaurant we had our meal at was poor. To start we had soup which was fine, our main course we had battered lemon chicken, battered sweet sour prawn and mushroom dish with rice. It was disappointing seeing as it was Chinese New Year and was expecting something authentic and delicious. We had a mango ice cream to finish. I would recommend they change the restaurant. Bugis Street good expeience of a market but mostly selling souvenirs. Poor quality clothes etc.

Guide was good, Singapore Sling was good, dinner at Chinese restaurant was absolutely terrible.Food choice very poor, no taste, cold and scant, service poor, 7 of us sitting in a large room by ourselves - no atmosphere at all.

Disappointing. Restaurant was very poor, students passing through in constant stream, food poor. Had expected decent location with decent food. Missed most of light show, had to stand for Singapore Sling after paying 20 extra for it.

The tour is good because the company did what it has to do. although, there are some which are not so good:_br/_ 1 Bus smells terrible. it smell smoke/cigar._br/_ 2 food although, tastes good but not enough for everyone.

I would pass on this tour, a few of the sights were good but most of the things we did were covered on another tour, which I felt was better._br/_ The dinner was too early in the tour, and the place we had dinner was empty, it would have been better to go to a place where at least a few other customers were there

Review by:   Jennifer S,    January 2018 Review: 3 star rating: Worth doing
The tour got off to a good start with a very smart minibus picking us up from our hotel right on time. The friendly driver dropped us at a meeting point in Chinatown where we were allocated to a coach for the tour itself. Although our accompanying guide had a good command of English, he was difficult to understand due to a very heavy accent that made many words hard to recognise. _br/_ Shortly after the commencement of the tour we went to a Chinese restaurant for our meal - not a good experience - it was shabby and grubby and we were seated on large tables of 8 or 9 with a revolving centre with dishes holding not very large portions of food to be shared among us all. It was difficult to judge how much to take and not leave complete strangers without a helping. However the food was replenished so plentiful in the end but voted by most people on our table as probably the worst Chinese food they had ever eaten and to add insult to injury it was lukewarm. This was very disappointing when there are so many restaurants serving wonderful local food to choose from. A change of venue is highly recommended. From the meal we were taken directly to a night market and left for half an hour to shop. It was very typical of the many street markets that everyone had visited previously and not what we expected from the name of the trip Singapore by night. We thought we would have much more of a sightseeing drive around that beautiful city that has so much to offer. At this point we almost abandoned the trip to make our way back to the hotel as we were so disappointed and in fact a large group of 8 or so didn't rejoin the coach after the market stop. _br/_ They, however, missed the best part of the evening by far! Although we hadn't ordered the optional Singapore Sling, the driver invited us to join those who had on the rooftop terrace of the library/art gallery, the venue for the drinks. The view was stunning and an experience not to be missed. We bought drinks that we sipped as we soaked up the amazing spectacle before our eyes and took loads of photos. That part of the evening, in elegant and relaxing surroundings eclipsed the rest of the tour by far and made us glad we had remained with it. Eventually our guide gathered us up to return to the coach which he summoned and directed us to when it arrived. Once settled on the coach, we discovered that he hadn't joined us. There was no explanation. He didn't say goodbye or give us a chance to thank him for his efforts. The driver took us straight back to our hotel and dropped us more or less at the door._br/_ So to summarise - overall it wasn't a great trip that we'd recommend BUT the redeeming factor was the wonderful rooftop experience that made us feel it had been worthwhile putting up with the rest of it. If we ever revisit Singapore we'd definitely make our way up to the fifth floor of that building, have the drink and enjoy the view again but would give the rest of the evening a definite miss!

The tour did not take us to many places, the dinner was fine. However, upon reaching the bar for our view of Singapore by night very breathe-catching and our Singapore Sling, there was no-where to sit as the venue was booked up!! We were hastily brought stools but guys - not really good enough!!

Good for a general overview of the city but the dinner was in a tourist trap location and the cocktail was overly expensive. Do a Hawker center tour instead if you are a foodie.

Missed picking me up from my hotel, then told me that I could then take a cab, and meet them at a restaurant, and they would refund me the fare, but the guide never did. Then, the food at the restaurant was horrible. Not worth anything!

This was one of three tours I booked for our stay in Singapore. Two were fantastic however, unfortunately this tour fell WAY below our expectations. Basically the tour consisted of our guide pointing out a few highlights as we drove to dinner. Dinner was served in a huge room with our group as the only guests. We asked for water and were served glasses of hot water. The meal consisted of a range of platters of particularly average food all served at once which gave us the feeling they were rushing us to eat. Not one person in our group thought it was an enjoyable experience and the food certainly was NOT indicative of the standard generally available in Singapore. After dinner we went to a bar above the art gallery with stunning views. We were left standing at the entrance waiting for our Singapore sling drinks. Even though the bar was far from full, we were told no seats were available for us although there were a number of seats covered, we were told by our guide that they were broken. Two members of our group were elderly and required seating, the staff found seating for them at least. Our guide was not aware of their as he was chatting. As I had not pre-ordered a Singapore sling, I ordered a wine and glasses of water. After waiting 20 minutes, I went to the bar, cancelled my order and asked for water, which was promptly provided with an apology for the delay. We left the bar and finished the tour 30 minutes before the due completion time. A memorable evening for all the WRONG reasons.

We had booked this tour perciffically for Raffles Hotel only to find it is undergoing restoration. Big disappointment. However this would not have been so bad except the meal we had was the worst chinnesse food I have ever eaten or tried to. All the group was of the same opinion. Soup served half way through, squid inedible, rice brought out after the dessert had been placed on the table. Very rushed. Save your money and do it yourself.

The tour ran with 4 of us. We got on well together, and enjoyed each other's company. The meal was OK, the city tour brief, and the time spent at Bugis Street market was a waste of time for all of us - cheap tat. We were taken to the bar at the National Gallery, as the Long Bar at Raffles is closed for refurbishment. My Singapore Sling was pre-booked and the others ordered one each when the waiter came for their order. They waited almost 30mins for their drinks.

We had a 2-day layover in Singapore prior to joining a Danube/Rine River cruise in Europe. We had previously been to Singapore approximately seven years prior. As we had some time my wife and myself booked the above tour with Viator which was quite easy to accomplish. We were picked up at our hotel by the tour operator Tour East with whom we had enjoyed a couple of previous tours in Thailand some years ago. As it turned out, due to a cancellation, we were the only people remaining on the tour - nevertheless the tour went ahead to our surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our tour host Florence was a delight to accompany. Although Raffles Hotel was closed for renovations, Florence took us to another venue to have our Singapore Sling cocktail. The dinner was very nice and the light show from the drinks venue was spectacular. The next day we went by ourselves to the Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer and the river cruise. Singapore has really changed over the 7-year period of our absense and has now become a tourist hot spot in its own right. You could now spend an enjoyable week in Singapore easily.

the mini van / people mover, used in our tour did not allow a clear view of buildings and water fountains, the question is why would you use a mini van with limited glass viewing, and with a large view obstructed steel area. also it states in the marketing material that we would visit raffles hotel , this did not happen . also the driver smoked when we were not in the van, leaving a smoke residue around and in the van, on our return..the meal was ok, great prawns, but could have been better, eg terrible dessert._br/_ the singapore sling cocktail. cost 30.00 was available at the popular marina bay sands for 17.00. _br/_ our money would have been better spent elsewhere.

The guide was good in describing all the city features._br/_ The dinner was the most frugal and uninteresting Chinese meal we have ever had. Not worth the bother._br/_ The night market was really an exercise in walking around dozens of stalls selling junk products. _br/_ There must be better places to capture the less seedy environments in Singapore._br/_ The visit to the 5th floor bar at the Law Courts and having a Singapore Sling really was the highlight and a good opportunity to view the lights in the bay areas.

We were very disappointed with the tour. Dinner at the restaurant was terrible. We had done this tour before and the meal was lovely. We were expecting to go to Clark Quay but instead went to an out of the Way restaurant where the staff were unfriendly. The food was mass produced and awful. I wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone.

O dear, you might well have read some very positive and most recommendable reviews both my wife and I have taken on this trip to Singapore and Bali, Indonesia with Viator, however this tour was very disappointing and misleading. Firstly we left 20 minutes late, then were brought for a meal - advertised as an outdoor dinner by the banks of the river - instead we were brought to a local indoor Chinese Restaurant where a Chinese started soup was simply a western chicken/vegetable soup. I won't go on. We then were brought on a whistle stop night tour where we travelled so fast and without a stop there was no time for photo-shots - I understood we were to stop on a bridge for this purpose. A mad rush to a cheep market where nobody bought anything instead we all sat waiting near the bus stop until pick up time chatting. Then onto Raffels to be told the lobby etc. were out of bounds and the long bar was not open. We would be accommodated in the billiard room bar instead for our cocktail. There was little or no commentary given throughout this tour. The best part of the tour was meeting our fellow travellers - two couples from Australia and French lady - all of us expressed dis-satisfaction with the tour and came away disappointed in the end,_br/_ John and Colette from Ireland.

Most disappointing tour, only 4 of us in a small mini van, couldn't see out, and drove to China town, walked about alone for 20 minutes, not much to see except market, then drove to restaurant food very poor, served cold, bland, not nice. Went to Raffles very excited was meant to be high point of the tour, they wouldn't let us in said it was closed ??? Guide phoned some one had to argue to let us in had to sit in foyer until he rang again to find out if we could have the Singapore sling cocktail we had already paid for eventually they pushed us into a tiny bar off the foyer gave us cocktail then guide said we had to leave. We were not happy, taken straight back to hotel without seeing a great deal. We have used viator before and tours are usually good but will definitely be thinking twice about booking with them again. Poor very poor.
