Singapore Zoo with Transfer and Optional Breakfast with Orangutans

Singapore, Singapore

The Singapore Zoo is the only place in the world where you can have breakfast with orangutans! Ride a tram through the zoo on a morning tour with an expert guide who points out some of the 3,600 animals that inhabit the wildlife park. If you choose the optional jungle breakfast, enjoy a delicious international buffet in the company of a charismatic family of orangutans. Don’t miss the opportunity to photograph and interact with the apes as they swing and climb in their adjacent habitat.

Meet your guide upon hotel pickup in Singapore for a comfortable, air-conditioned ride first to the ticket collection center, then to the Singapore Zoo. Located on the northern part of the island, the zoo boasts a new concept in animal keeping that features landscaped gardens where animals roam freely in naturalistic habitats. The 64-acre (26-hectare) wildlife park, nestled within the lush Mandai rainforest, is home to 3,600 animals representing more than 300 species of mammals, birds and reptiles.

If you’ve booked the optional upgrade, start with a jungle breakfast among an amazing family of orangutans (see below) before boarding the open tram for your morning tour. Those who do not select the breakfast option have free time to explore the zoo at leisure before the guided portion begins.

Then hop aboard a tram for an informative ride around the open spaces that are specially designed to replicate the natural environments of the critters, from the Himalayan foothills to the Southeast Asian rainforest.

There are protective barriers that keep you a safe distance from animals such as zebras and elephants, but you can expect a number of amazing creatures to come right up to your tram as you travel. Along the way, you will stop to get out and explore on foot, too.

With commentary highlighting the plight of these magnificent creatures, Singapore Zoo hopes to inspire in its guests a respect and deep appreciation of nature.

We were very pleased we did this, definitely worth it. We would do it again but next time get there as early as possible for the breakfast then plan to spend the day at the zoo. There is so much to see. It was great to be able to watch the Orangutans while having breakfast. Being able to stand so close in front of them for photos was special. But don't wait, there was always a long line of others and eventually the Orangutans move away. The only disappointing thing was not getting there earlier. Once the Orangutans left the staff started clearing the tables which made it clear that breakfast was over.

Excellent Zoo and well recommended to visit. Probably should do the night tour as most animals inactive. The breakfast with the Orangutans was really a great experience so probably have to do 2 tours.Pity I could not be picked up from my hotel but our guide made sure I got back with no problems, many thanks.

Great tour, however was a pity that we had no time to stop and enjoy all the other animals._br/_ The breakfast was good and the people at the zoo were very nice.

I really enjoyed getting up close and personal with the Orangutans. However, it was really a rushed trip through the zoo. I recommend you stay after the tour finishes and make your own way back into the city.

Singapore Zoo was a terrific day out. So much to see and do. The Orangutan breakfast was a bit rushed because we had to wait quite a long time at the bus transfer depot in Chinatown which meant we arrived late. We were escorted all the way to the breakfast point though so that was helpful. Take a small umbrella or rain jacket. We got showers throughout the day January which was not unexpected but just be prepared and wear closed toe shoes.

We were picked up on time and driven to Zoo for a delightful and plentiful breakfast. Enjoyed the Orangutans and had our pics taken with them. Handlers also offered up snake holding at breakfast. Afterwards you were free to tour the zoo on your own. Very enjoyable time and excellent value for money.

Highly recommend the breakfast with the orangatans. Could get up close with them and have a pic taken. Nobody misses out on a photo. Brekky was also yummy, plenty of variety.

Absolute must do when in Singapore! The guide was really informative and interesting on the transfer to the zoo. The breakfast itself was ok, it’s a buffet with plenty of choices including continental, Full English, pastries and coffee/juices. The orangutans are the star of this experience!!

The orangutans are always great to see. So like humans. Buffet breakfast. You can have your photo taken standing right in front of the orangutans with your own camera.

This was a fun trip. The breakfast was excellent with a buffet that was full of choices. The guide was great, the pick up was on time and the orangutans were so much fun and adorable. The zoo was great and it was a great walk around the zoo.

What a fabulous trip! Pick up on time and smooth journey to the zoo which is about 30 minutes drive outside the city centre. So much choice in the buffet breakfast, they had everything you could want. The orangutans were so cute, lots of photo opportunities. Excellent zoo with a tram to take you around most of it, still lots of walking though. We were given the opportunity to stay longer and take a later coach back or make our own way back by taxi. Would definitely visit again.

We loved having breakfast with the Orangutans! The problem was getting there late because they forgot to pick up four people and that delayed us.

Picked up on time, good breakfast, orangutans were there. We made our own way back so could stay longer at zoo.

Took a little while to get there as we were taken to one point and had to change buses. It is a really nice zoo to visit._br/_ The orangutans were the highlight. They were funny and cute. Breakfast was really good. I had a great time there.

You have an all you can eat breakfast buffet while being able to take your turn posing with the Orangutans. You then have a couple of hours to look around this amazing Zoo. definitely one of the best in the world I have been to. Only negative is the transfer. You are dropped off to another coach on your way there which makes for a round trip of at least an hour. But a great trip all the same.

There were too many people and only a limited viewing area if you were not seated in the middle of the open dining area. The people who were seated at the ends saw nothing. Breakfast was plentiful but warm not hot. You actually dont have breakfast with the Orangutans, you eat your breakfast, then queue up to have a quick photo with them sitting behind you, then are sold the photos for 25 each. Bit cheeky when you have already paid for the priviledge of breakfast with them. Even 10- would be more acceptable. Mind you, they are kind enough to use your own camera for the photos so that is a plus. Then after everyone has had a photo, you have to sit down, so that everyone gets a turn. Then once all the photos are taken the orangutans get taken back into their keeping area. Quite a sterile experience and nothing like the one that I had experienced years ago. That was more casual and less people involved. Unfortunately I think like everything it has become a licence to print money, and visitors go with the idea of having breakfast with the orangutans, but like myself, come back disappointed. The only positive thing, was that my husband and I stayed much longer and watched all the shows and took a taxi back into town to our hotel. That experience was wonderful. The Singapore Zoo itself is a magnificent place and one of the best zoos around the world.

Pick up was on time in spite of Singapore traffic. Guide was happy to share his knowledge of the zoo and animals. A few tall stories included! In fact we couldn't shut him up! He showed us some of the animals on the way to the Orangutan breakfast. Good seats and the Orangutan experience was almost as amazing as our previous visit 30 years ago when we met the famous Ah Meng. The return trip was efficient and comfortable. Would recommend this trip to anyone.

We are VERY DISAPPOINTED with dishonest and irresponsible tour organizers/agencies and tour guides in Malaysia and Singapore, HOWEVER our guide, Mr. Siwakant Rampher Misir, on this tour was GREAT! He was professional, organized, flexible, polite, kind and funny. He even helped us get in touch with RMG tour who were not responding to our calls in order to arrange our pick-up for that afternoon tour. Mr. Siwakant was so helpful and nice and has explained to us that he knows about those tours crap and what they do to tourists We really didnt understand what he meant until that afternoon when we went to Sentosa RMG tour, where my husband had medical emergency and our tour guide Stephen Ler LEFT US BEHIND and never came to check on us. THANK YOU MR. SIWAKANT RAMPHER MISIR FOR CARING AND DOING YOUR JOB WITH PRIDE AND HONOR!!!

This was disappointing. I had looked forward to breakfast with the Orangs but they were only there for about 30 minutes and we had to queue to get a photo taken. The boys, and they were boys, the official photographers offered to take your photo with your own camera. All I got was a shot of my t shirt, not exactly professionals._br/_ The breakfast was poor, as was the tram ride. We saw a giraffe and a zebra, two sleepy lions and some rhinos. We decided to walk the circuit after and saw much more.

What a fantastic day. The pick ups were well planned, individual taxis took everyone from different hotels to a meeting point and onto one coach and bang on time. The breakfast with the Orangutans was totally brilliant, the zoo is more like a nature reserve and is well worth the visit. Others on the half day trip decided to stay longer, or do the river trip, but we found there was just enough time to go round what we wanted to see. Cannot fault anything, another great trip from viator, highly recommended.

Breakfast with the Orangutans was great, we did get there late due to an accident on the freeway, which meant we were very rushed when we got to the zoo, late for Breaky and the Orangutans were already out and waiting for us. We did however get our photos and breakfast too. The variety of food was excellent and we all had plenty to eat. Then we had photos, all happened rather quick. After we took the train ride around the zoo, then walked around a little, before returning to the bus back to the city. I would certainly go just to get close to the amazing Orangutans.

Pick up on time. Breakfast was good. Orangutans were very impressive. Mother with 6mth old baby, older infant and 2 others. Plenty of time to have photos taken. Zoo takes photos also will take on your own camera _br/_ Recomend this tour.

Loved the zoo and our orangutan breakfast, they are so cute, got us close with a snake too. Zoo is so lovely for a zoo, we had a a lemur follow us around for a while too. Whilst there we went into the next door river safari also to see the pandas, loved the manatees too , will revisit if we have time on our next visit march 2018

Pick up fine, coach delayed, courier somewhat disorganised, breakfast very touristy and by the time I got it there was not much left. Should have opted for a Friday visit rather than Saturday when more children were visiting.

I booked to have breakfast with the orangutans and was very impressed from start to finish. I was contacted by the local guide advising that I would be picked up from my hotel at 8am, and they arrived on time with a shuttle mini bus to take me into China Town which was the central hub for all the coaches. We were given coloured stickers according to which tour group we were with and then boarded our coach to the zoo. Our guide was very informative and when we arrived at the zoo, she went to get the entrance tickets and then came with those of us who had booked breakfast.

Wow this was a great day, very organised and timely, we got picked up from our hotel and taken to the Zoo, breakfast was surprisingly delicious and plentiful. The only thing is that the you don't get much time at the zoo so we decided to take a bus back there are heaps there to the city so we didn't have to rush around the Zoo.

Great place to visit. We chose to stay longer and get our own transport back, as we were having a great time, and didn't want to rush.

Our tour guide was exceptional, courteous, kind and informative. The tour arrangements were well planned and carried out. The trip to Singapore zoo was one of the highlights of our stay. This tour was a good method of visiting this more difficult to access attraction, and a great way to start our Singapore discovery. The zoo is a must see for visitors to Singapore.

Once again I found Viator to be an exemplary company to book tours through. I actually made a mistake with my booking which meant that we had the wrong day but to their credit, the company accommodated us on another day. The trip itself was very well planned and the breakfast with the orang-utans was a lot of fun. We've been to the Singapore zoo a number of times and each experience has been special, as was this one. Thoroughly recommend it.

This is our second time we have done this tour, the zoo has certainly grown in popularity. Breakfast was good and keepers were very informative, however the numbers attending were overpowering. It's certainly well worth doing getting so close to these amazing creatures

Great photo with the Orangutans a bit expensive 40. Breakfast only short as a lot of traffic and we arrived late. Time at the Zoo not long enough . I stayed back caught a taxi back to hotel 29. Also o city bus 6 only starts at 2.30pm.

Intressant utflykt till ett mycket bra och trevligt Zoo, men man skulle ha åkt från Singapore 30 minuter tidigare för det blev lite för lite tid till frukost och att titta på organutangerna innan tåget avgick för rundturen.

The breakfast was a lovely spread but there were 100 other people in the restaurant and the orangutans are far away. Still I think it’s worth doing because you get entry into the zoo and can spend the rest of the day there. You also get access to the trams within the zoo so you can hop on and off.

Excellent tour, picked up on time from our hotel, breakfast at the zoo was plentiful and delicious and to be seated so close to the orang-utans was a delight. The zoo is wonderful. We took the little sightseeing train for an overall view and then wandered back on the pathways to see the animals up closer. A very easy and enjoyable tour.
