This hands-on experience will have you zooming across the water on a racing yacht, participating as much or as little as you like while the experienced crew races another boat. It’s a great way to enjoy the open sea and get a taste of local Antigua culture — the island is one of the world’s yacht-racing capitals. Rum punch included.
When your ship docks on the island of Antigua, meet your sailing guide at the cruise pier and head to your high-performance racing yacht. Listen to a safety briefing and join the racing crew on board.
You may take a seat in the back, where you can relax and watch all of the action, or be part of the fun yourself by helping the experienced racing team as you travel across the water. During a crash course in yachting in a practice area, learn about skills like tacking and grinding winches. Then when everyone is ready, the 45-minute race begins.
With the wind in your face, feel the heart-pounding excitement of going head to head with another yacht on the open sea. Afterward, the crew will slow down and give you a chance to take the wheel of the yacht, if you wish. Cruise around Falmouth Harbour, home to impressive super yachts, and admire the gorgeous setting.
Whether your boat wins or loses, it’s celebratory rum punch all around when you get back to the marina. Toast your experience on a private platform overlooking the coast before heading back to your cruise ship.

Driver met us right outside of the cruise ship terminal with sign and our name. 15 minute drive to yacht harbour. There were only 2 of us on the excursion, so there was no race, however the crew went out of their way to show us what the boat could do. We sailed to Nelson's Dockyard, cruised through the dockyard then back to the main harbour. This was by far the best excursion of our cruise.

No yacht racing, Only 4 booked, so took a nice sail out to sea and to Nelsons Dockyard. Well organised and professional. Good especially if never sailed before.

Wonderful tour. We were met at the ship and had a taxi ride to the far side of the island with commentary the whole way. Amazing views of LOTS of yachts. The two crew members were both friendly as well as informative pointing out sights the whole way. Although we didn't actually race against another yacht as described in the tour information this was not missed at all. A thoroughly enjoyable day at sea.

The tour was very well organized. We were on a cruise and the met is right outside the gate with a sign. Simon our capitan and crew were awesome and really fun. We didn and #39;t have enough people for two boats so we only took one. We sailed to Nelsons dock yard.

It was a great experience. It was off season so we were the only yacht but with only 4 of us from the cruise ship. It was fun learning and experiencing sailing. The Captain, crew, and everyone who helped us were great. The views of the Island from the yacht were perfect.

The folks at Ondeck really made this tour special for me. Apparently a lot of people had to cancel this tour at the last minute so I ended up being the only participant. They still allowed me to go out on one of the boats with a captain and first mate. They guided me through the process of hoisting the sails as we left the harbor. We went to the Nelson's Dockyard area before coming back. On the return trip I was able to steer the boat through some windy conditions.

The staff was very accommodating after a mistake with our reservations. My wife who is an experienced sailor was able to do whatever she wanted on the boat. Last but not least, they serve the best rum punch of any tour.
