A good way to see a few sights of Taipei if youre here for a limited time. We enjoyed our dinner at Din Tai Fung. We also had a wonderful driver and tour guide which made this tour even better.

It's a good tour but the guide rushed through the night market and didn't really explain much. He was okay during the temple tour. Left us for dinner with no comments on what to expect. The tour is good but the guide could have been better, perhaps the one from my half day tour.

Wonderful tour of the most interesting temple in Taipei, an unusual snake night market, and Taipei 101 with more food than you could eat at Din Tai Fung. We have eaten at home at this restaurant and this one is a much better quality!

We were picked up late which is no big deal but the man who was to be our guide should change his job. He barely said much and basically had us visit various places without giving much information or background. I wanted to learn about Taipei and Taiwan culture but simply pointing out fruit or massage parlors is not what a guide should do. He was a much older man and maybe that played a part in his listless tour. Total waste of money and that guide should retire. I would pass on this if I were you and just visit these places on your own. As for Taipei 101 or Din Tai Fung. The place was a zoo and we had to wait a good 30 minutes for a meal which I could have done on without being part of the tour. The food was okay but I would not dine there again. It's over rated.

Dumplings were excellent but not many options for seafood/vegetarian without chicken or pork.

Felix, our guide did a great job of explaining the history of the areas we visited. Our tour of the Huaxi Night Market was a lot of fun. Being a bit of a 'foodie' I would have liked to have had some time to sample the food. Felix, advised against it, fearing it might make us sick.

Never got a chance to view the Taipei 101 building. I don't know how we missed this.

This was the worst tour I've ever had. I've been to free tours that were much better than this, and I've been on several Viator tours so I expected a better experience. The positives: the tour guide was a nice man and the van was comfortable and prompt. At Din Tai Fung the food was plentiful and delicious The negatives: Our tour guide was not informative and seemed inexperienced in that position. He was unable to answers many questions about the sights and about Taipei that were asked. He also spoke with heavily accented Chinese which made him difficult to understand. To make matters worse he often spoke while we were walking or while he wasn't facing us so that we couldn't read his lips. Additionally, I was extremely disappointed with the night market that was chosen for this tour. It had nothing that was even remotely appealing or that gave tourists an idea of how vibrant the night markets in Taipei truly are. It had massage parlours and snakes. No street food. No life. It was a complete and utter letdown. I'm lucky that I had more nights in the city because I was able to visit night markets that were truly representative of the city on my own. The final and I'd say one of the most disappointing parts of the tour was the end. I was aware that the Taipei 101 observation deck price was not included, but I thought that we'd have the opportunity to visit. We were told that this was not an option. Instead we toured the inside of a mall including the Apple Store. I was shocked.

My friend and I booked this tour as an efficient way to have dinner at a busy, popular restaurant that doesn't take reservations Din Tai Fung and see some things that would be good to have a guide explain to us night market, temple. We were extremely disappointed in the tour.

Excellent tour, guide was so funny and multi-language speaker, he just treated us amazing. I recommend this tour at all, also the dinner was great. All stops were just perfect and we liked the way guide led all the tour.

Liked the temple better than expected. The night market, alrthough cool to walk through, not anything you really want to buy. Dinner was quite good and our guide was knowledgable and nice.

We enjoyed the experience of the BBQ and walking tour of the night market. It was what we were hoping for - to experience the city and its sights as the locals do.

The Mongolian BBQ dinner was terrible food and environment of restaurant was really bad._br/_ The night market was ok but a bit short and the temple was interesting. When we arrived at the 101 Tower there was a big queue so we could not go up which was very disappointing.

very basic. The dinner stop was rushed. Did not 'experience' Taiwanese cuisine (did not know what we were eating). 101 visit - nothing much to it as we just drove past it.

The tour was good. The meal in the Mongolian BBQ restaurant was ok. I expected a bit more but there was a variety of dishes and drinks to choose from. We enjoyed the tour of the temples and night market. Had a great time at Taipei 101. Our guide was very informative.

Enjoyed the night market, but the Mongolian BBQ was poor. Bad location and the dinner was average. Not enough time was given for the famous Taipei 101

This was a great way to spend the evening in Taipei. The Mongolian BBQ was nice to try. The night market was also fun to experience. We did not take the tour back to the hotel so we would have time to go to the top of Taipei 101. Overall it was a nice way to see the sights of Taipei for those with a limited time schedule.

Mongolian bbq dinner was very good but i think it is only for the foreigner who booked this tour because when we came back the following day we were not allowed to dine and we were not able to go to the top of taipei 101 because of long line and we dont have much time to line up

it is wonderful to see Taipei at night and the food serve at the buffet and the 101 at night. One item that we are to suppose to see is the second tallest building which we are suppose to go up but somehow was cancelled.Wonder why?

Great way to begin a visit to Taipei in a cold evening with a nice buffet dinner. It was foggy to be able to see Taipei from the top of 101, but enjoyed the window shopping. Had a lot of fun in the night market._br/_ The guide arranged a special visit to Longshan Temple before closing and safe return to the hotel.

This tour was not our favorite. The trip itself is something you should do on your own for more time as we did on our own the day after. We were rushed through the market with only ten minutes allotted for browsing, no shopping allowed. At Taipei 101, we did not get to go to the top because of the long lines. We were only given one hour to make it to through the lines and to the top...nearly impossible. The dinner was average. However, we highly enjoyed the temple and our tour guide's knowledge of the temple. Our tour guide Felix, was very personable and full of life. He made the trip more enjoyable.

BBQ Dinner is not that good. The Taipei is better if we had more time.

Review by:   Efe S,    September 2013 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
It was OK. Tour seemed a little rushed and the guide seemed more interested in going through the motions rather than giving us detailed information about the places we hit. Would have appreciated a little more time especially onTaipei 101, as the lift-ticket was very expensive for just 45 minutes or so, and separate from the cost of the tour! The views were magnificent and the accompanying audio guides were very thorough, but did not have time to go through all within the specified time limit. The Dinner was excellent, but again we seemed squeezed for time. Guide sat separate from us. Personally, I would have appreciated conversing with a Taiwanese about the city. Would suggest this tour only if you were absolutely unwilling or unable to travel to these sites on your own.

The tour guide was very nice, but it didn't last very long. Walked though snake alley but didn't stop. You also had to pay separate for Taipei 101. It was a little expensive for what it was.

I did not enjoy the Mongolian BBQ dinner at all. However, the tour was good and I enjoyed the night market atmosphere. We were in Taiwan during the lantern festival so there were some amazing lanterns and lighted decorations throughout the city.

The tour guide is a professional and knows a lot about the history and culture. However because you cannot always choose the others that join you on the tour, they can make the trip less than pleasant.

The places to visit are nice. This trip makes Taipei even more interesting for us. However, allotted time is not enough to see or buy what you want. Our tour guide seems to be in a hurry all the time.

The night tour was a good experience to see the evening skyline of Taipei, plus the night market experience. The weather though wasnt good so didnt have the chance to check the viewing deck of Taipei 101. The mongolian dinner was just ok, nothing too fabulous, but an interesting experience.

Our guide was not responsive to questions and seemed to not want to be doing the tour. Lines at Taipei 101 were too long to go to the observation deck according to the guide. Not enough time at any of the stops!

Our guide was excellent! Very informative and helpful. At the Lung Shan budhist temple, he helped us go through the ritual explaining each step and in fact, translated the Kuan Yin oracle._br/_ I didn't feel rushed at all especialy while walking through the night market. I was even able to try the delicacies. _br/_ He was also very informative in Taipei 101.

The tour guide was extremely friendly and built up a good rapport. Both Huaxi Night Market and Longshan temple were great stops, and Taipei 101 was pretty good too._br/_ The Mongolian Dinner wasn't the experience we were expecting - a crowded buffet dinner mixing together a wide range of Asian foods, with the option of having meat and vegetables (similar to Shabu-Shabu, if you are familiar with it) cooked on a large metal sheet while you wait. If you catch them during a cleaning phase, this can take 15 minutes.
