The tour was unexpectedly intimate it felt like friends walking around the market, which is the tone Bob set from the beginning. The samples ranged from succulent to fresh, delectable, and decadent. Bob shared both his knowledge and love of cuisine, history, and culture of Vancouver. We learned a lot, we laughed a lot, and we experienced new and wonderful fare. We ecstatically recommend Bob and either of his Granville Island or China Town tours.

WOW!! I highly recommend this tour with Bob. He was outstanding. It is excellent - Bob knows everyone in the market and probably in the city. He took us everywhere and we sampled tasty meats, cheeses, chocolates, macarons and had the best chai latte ever. He explained the history of Vancouver and the market and Bob showed us almost every vendor there. I can't imagine going into the market and really enjoying it on our own. The doughnuts at Lee's were beyond fantastic and Bob gave us some excellent recommendations for the places just outside the market that we tried after the tour. We enjoyed our time so much that my wife and I signed up for the tour of Chinatown that he was doing 2 days later. We knew we needed him to show us around and give us the info! Bob has a great sense of humor and he really made the experience of the market a wonderful one. We highly recommend doing the tour. Don't hesitate - it is worth every cent!

Took an educated food tour with Bob Sung, and left feeling very happy and knowledgable. We tried some eats and got a historical and contemporary lesson about the food of Granville Island and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this for visitors to Vancouver. Thanks!

Bob was great and very knowledgeable. Interesting and educational. Got to try some interesting things - he tailored it to what we like so everyone in the family got to try something new in a category they were interested in. All in all a fun tour. Suggestion - it was hard to find in the listings though because I was searching for Granville Market. Took a while to find.

The tour of Granville Island with Bob was wonderful. Being a former chef, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the type of food around the market and even gave us tips for cooking. It ended up being a private tour with Bob which was really nice. He walked us around the island as well after touring the market itself which was a nice bonus. We exchanged business cards at the end of the tour and Bob emailed us only a few days later with a recap of what we saw and tasted along the way. Hopefully we can go back to Vancouver and do his Chinatown tour!
