Downtown Vancouver Sightseeing Cruise in a Zodiac Vessel
Vancouver, Canada
Zip around Vancouver’s spectacular waterways by Zodiac! This fast, inflatable boat provides a thrilling sightseeing adventure on the water and holds just 12 passengers, ensuring you enjoy a small-group experience. With an expert skipper-guide, cruise around Vancouver Harbour, Burrard Inlet, English Bay and False Creek, admiring top city attractions like Stanley Park and looking for dolphins, seals and other local wildlife.
Your tour departs from Vancouver’s downtown waterfront, where you’ll check in and be fitted with your provided red cruiser suit, a required piece of outerwear that keeps you warm and dry and acts as a life preserver. After your guide/skipper gives you a brief overview of safety procedures, hop in your Zodiac and set off into Burrard Inlet, the waterway that forms Vancouver Harbour.
The open-air, purpose-built inflatable Zodiac is one of the fastest and most exciting ways to enjoy the city from the water, as it allows you to easily zoom around, exploring locations bigger boats can’t access. With your experienced guide, who will bring the Zodiac up to speeds of more than 30 mph (50 kph), cover several of Vancouver’s surrounding waterways and waterside attractions: Coal Harbour, the North Shore, English Bay, False Creek and Stanley Park. While you snap photos and relish the cool wind in your hair, listen to your guide’s commentary about the city’s natural landmarks and wildlife, and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Marvel at the sight of the downtown skyscrapers from the water, take an up-close look at freighters hanging out in the bay, watch locals getting exercise along the seawall, and spot families relaxing on the beach. Throughout the 90-minute tour, keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife like dolphins, harbor seals, bald eagles and sea birds.
If there’s something specific you want to see, just ask your guide! Your interests will be accommodated when possible.
Great experience. The temperature was great. Be advised, that it seems during certain times of the year, or weather dependent, as to whether you get just a life jacket, or a full suit. Maybe they only offer life jackets. Make sure you take along a jacket on the cooler days of you chill easy.

Great trip. Family friendly and hosted by terrific staff. Matthew, our boat captain, knew everything you would want to know about Vancouver. The Zodiac has speed to get all over the harbour quickly as well as a cruising speed to allow one to soak up all the sights. Thoroughly recommend for anyone looking to see the best of Vancouver.

Loved this tour -- was a fun ride and we had a great captain who told us all about the area as we went. They provide super warm suits so that no one was cold, even on a grey day. A really terrific way to see the area -- I highly recommend it.

I literally stepped off my flight, got on a train, and headed straight for this Cruise. Having it begin in the afternoon was very convenient, and there was still lots of sun out to really enjoy the views of the harbor. I certainly recommend this tour, just be sure that you are honest with yourself about your physical capabilities or limitations---there is a lot of rough-riding on the waves. You get a great view of the harbor and the guide/driver will share interesting historical tidbits about Vancouver.

The crew was great and very engaging. The ride covered a lot of area and the captain opened up the boat and did some entertaining driving. Be prepared to get a little wet. Well worth it.

Excellent tour. We did the 5pm tour on a Saturday and our captain was great. I learned so much about the history of Vancouver and we did a lot of cool turns at high speeds. Very fun!

Our tour guide was from Vancouver and really knew his information about all the sights. He was a great driver and really made me feel safe and secure. Even though it was a cloudy day and we had a little rain while out on the tour it was all good. I would defiantly recommend this tour, it was a great value.

What an exciting, thrilling 90 minutes. Dominic, the captain, is awesome. There was one issue...Viator apparently sent the wrong time to the company and booked me on an earlier trip. The trip I was actually booked for got sold out, so they had to move me to another time. Ugh!!! Of course--the company blames Viator for this. It was just an inconvenience, but definitely worth the wait. This tour is all inclusive of West Vancouver, it covers Coal Harbor, English Bay, the Burrard Inlet and more. If you are afraid of high speeds on the open water, I'd skip this one, but if you like adventure, history, knowledge and a few bumps over some waves, you will definitely love this ride of a lifetime!
