Vancouver’s skyline and wildlife come together for your viewing pleasure during this guided kayaking tour. Take a few hours to explore the inlet of False Creek, sharing the waterway with seals, ducks and kingfishers as you paddle. High rises, Science World and BC Place Stadium provide a dramatic backdrop in the early morning or at sunset, the two times you can choose to take this peaceful kayak excursion.
Head to the base camp at the north end of Kitsilano Beach to begin your kayaking tour. Choose between a morning journey or paddle off at sunset, ideal times in the day when you can enjoy calm waters and less boat traffic.
Receive a safety briefing from your expert guide, then slip on a vest and learn basic paddling techniques. Once you're ready, take a single or double kayak into the English Bay and follow your guide into False Creek, an inlet dividing Vancouver’s downtown area from the rest of the city, and site of the Expo ’86 World’s Fair.
As you paddle along, pass floating homes and marinas, and marvel at the wildlife, including harbor seals, herons, cormorants, kingfishers and owls. As you travel eastward, see the bridges of Burrard, Cambie and Granville.

If you’re kayaking at sunset, admire the brilliant golds and oranges illuminating the sky and the water. Paddle your way back to Kitsilano Beach, where your tour ends.

It was a beautiful 2-1/2 hour experience paddling in the bay with Vancouver cityscapes in view. There were two kayaks including mine on that trip following our guide Justine. Justine was very professional and pleasant. She had so many interesting stories to tell about the buildings and the boats we saw along the way. It was just about as challenging or relaxing, depending on how you think about it as I had thought it might be I am 50. Highly recommended!

Fun tour! The guide was very knowledgeable but sometimes went ahead of the group so we couldn and #39;t always hear what he was saying. It was neat to see False Creek from the water and learn a bit about Vancouver and #39;s history. Luckily we had the perfect weather so it was a very enjoyable paddle.

Our tour guide, Brandon, was excellent. We were newbies to the sport, but he soon had us paddling right along. We learned so much of the local scene, history and economy while seeing some of the most beautiful coastline ever! Would highly recommend him!

Great way to explore the city in a different perspective. For those wanting to bring home memories from this unique experience, I suggest that you bring waterproof cameras. My regret was that we didn't bring ours.
