Whistler, co-host of the 2010 Winter Olympics, is only two hours from Vancouver on the beautiful Sea-to-Sky Highway and one of the largest and best ski resorts in North America. Nevertheless, it is just as popular in summer with it’s wide range of outdoor activities.
Begin the day by departing Vancouver at 8:15am. Travel along Highway 99, also known as the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway, and stop at beautiful Shannon Falls en route to Whistler. Once at the destination, enjoy a guided tour of the popular, chalet-style village.
After a guided tour, enjoy the Peak 2 Peak Gondola that links Whistler Mountain's Roundhouse Lodge with Blackcomb Mountain's Rendezvous Restaurant — or go for a hike and enjoy the amazing views from the top of the mountain (additional cost). Otherwise, spend the afternoon as desired. Participate in optional activities, join the guide for a scenic hike and swim at Lost Lake, or shop and explore the village.
The tour concludes with a return trip to Vancouver around 7:30pm.
