Washington D.C., United States of America

Admire Washington DC's spectacular monuments and memorials from this boat cruise along the Potomac River. See the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, John F. The boat left on time and the crew was very helpful in explaining what we were seeing as we cruised. When we docked in Georgetown, my wife and I got off and cabbed to the National Mall. There we walked to the Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King memorial and Franklin Roosevelt memorial. We enjoyed the reflecting pool and then returned to Georgetown for our cruise back to Alexandria.

We had a wonderful time! Although I read that others had a tough time hearing the narration, this was not the case. Were were able to hear the narration inside and outside of the vessel. Thank you for a wonderful day!

It was a very nice experience. The fact that you can take the cruise and spend the day in the other town then jump back on it when you're ready to return regardless of the time you signed up for makes it a perfect day outing. The reviews complaining about the noise of the engine just are not true. The staff is very nice and the recorded tape is very informational. I highly recommend this to everyone who visits this area!

Didn't really come very close to the monuments, and the canned narration was a little hard to hear over the engine noise. On the other hand, it was a very pleasant twilight cruise.

Nice way to spend a couple of hours. Captain and crew were extremely professional and polite. Well worth the price paid, an excellent value.

Sales people and cruise personnel were helpful and friendly. The historical narrative was good. It was great to see several monuments from the river. It was a sauna- like day in DC. And the return boat did not have an air conditioned cabin. Even at 6:30 PM it was sweltering.

Great trip down to Alexandria and nice to see the memorials from a different angle. The only thing I'd say is that once the boat got up to full speed, the noise of the engines completely drowned out the taped commentary, which was a shame.

We liked the tour, but the recording was not very personable.

The crew members made it fun. The recorded tape didn't make it very interactive.

Beautiful landing on both sides of the Potomac. The cruise was nice also.

The river trip was really good - chance to see from the water the city. The trip goes down as far as Alexandria and get to see more than you would just in the city.

The entire experience was amazing. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. We enjoyed our time in Alexandria, VA and safely returned to the Washington Harbor. We will definitely be sailing with you again, as well as referring others. Thanks again!!

Do not buy a tour through Viator, this company does not accept it, they turned us away.

Great way to see the Georgetown and Alexandria waterfront and many sights along the Potomac._br/_ We were there on Wednesday afternoon and found the best deal: 1# lobster dinner @ The Fish Market -$16.99! _br/_ Returned as the sun set and saw the Lincoln Memorial/Washington monuments lit for night. Wonderful!

I would not call this a "tour" by any means, but rather a means of transportation from Georgetown to Alexandria. Your guide is a recorded taping that no one could hear due to the boats engine, slapping of waves and people talking all around.

Review by:   Robert P,    June 2014 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Recorded commentary only very difficult to hear and not that informative.
