Your full day tour includes a city tour of Zurich, Rapperswil's Old Town, the Toggenberg region and Liechtenstein Principality.
After first doing a city tour of Zurich we follow Lake Zurich to Rapperswil, the city of roses. We visit the picturesque Old Town and its medieval castle; you will also have some time at leisure here. Then after crossing the Ricken Pass with its panoramic views of the Alps we reach the lovely Toggenberg region whose pretty hill and valley scenery is perfect chocolate box material!
In Vaduz, the capital of the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein you will have more time at leisure. A visit to the Post Office is recommended; the famous stamps from this tiny state are coveted worldwide by philatelists and amateur stamp lovers alike. And finally we arrive at Maienfeld, the setting for the Heidi stories. In the summer months you visit Heidi's village. A pleasant short walk leads to a collection of typical mountain houses, a village shop, and of course lots of little goats. Entry into the authentic Heidi House is optional. In wintertime, you'll visit the quaint Swiss village of Werdenberg instead.
A beautiful trip back to Zurich along the banks of Lake Walen, guarded over majestically by the Churfirsten mountain range brings to a close this most nostalgic of Swiss tours.
Our tour guide was very nice but once off the bus not everyone could hear what he was saying. There was a group of 40 people and we were strung out walking around. Our city tour consisted of one stop where we had a 5 minute talk. We were given a time to be back at the bus at each of our 4 stops. 75 of us rushed back to be there on time but the others did not. This was particularly a problem at lunch. We only had 35 minutes and the restaurant that we stopped at did not have the personnel to serve everyone on time. After waiting 20 minutes to have our order taken, we went to the counter and ordered the only made sandwich left so we split it and were told we could not sit down since our food was take out. We were at the bus at 1:30 as told and waited in the rain for another 15 minutes until the other people showed. Then we walked for 10 minutes in the rain to get to the bus. I have to say the scenery was beautiful.....however, there were lots of miles with no commentary.

Not worth the money. Liechtenstein capital Vaduz is just a shopping plaza. The only highlight of this trip was that there was a stop at raspersvile the city of roses and that place is worth going. But you can easily take the train from Zurich.

Fantastic Trip! Would have loved a bit extra time in Liechtenstein but then again there isn't much to do there! Absolutely loved the Heidi Village, it's great too that you can go in and pat the goats. Also, all day we had lovely scenic views!

The guide was good. The scenic route by bus during the journey was beautiful. Heidiland is really for kids as there is a goat farm to feed them. Nothing major to do in Liechtenstein. A quick stop for 40 min for a coffee or to buy a souvenir. _br/_ Rappeswill stop was the highlight of this trip. You have a long walking bridge, a small nice town on the lake with mountain views._br/_ Do take sandwiches with you as we found that eating out in Switzerland is just too expensive.

This was a wonderful tour to see a great deal of Switzerland . The scenery was spectacular up to a 11th century Monastery in Rapperswil then through the Alps to Heidi Haus then back past the mountains and scenery the other side of the range _br/_ Would highly recommend to get s great overview of what Switzerland is made of

An excellent way to visit the lovely countryside of Switzerland and a small country in a day. Your time in Leichtenstein is spent in the city of Vaduz, with free time to walk around and explore a little on your own. Our guide was friendly and full of information about the sights along the way.

Heidiland was not very impressive but the drive to it was very scenic. Liechtenstein was nice but we were not there long enough. It would be better to add an hour to the tour and give you another hour in Liechtenstein.

Tour basically has 4 segments: Zurich, Rapperswil, Leichenstein, and Heidi village. Middle 2 quite interesting. Heidi village provides opportunities for nice scenic photos of the Swiss countryside, so worth visiting even if you are not into Heidi that much. Guide was so-so competent, but did not seem that enthusiastic about her job.

Not much worth. Rapperswil is the best, and you will spend 1 hour in Vaduz shopping no castles, no liechtenstein views._br/_ Heidiland is just a poster and a statue.

It was a good experience but all day in the bus seeing the sight seeing only - castle was closed, heidiland statue was only shown - more time should be given at Liechtenstein as more things to explore - hence, overall its a nice tour but should be more interesting

Heidiland is beautiful!! If you aren't very fit, you may not be able to see it all because it is quite a walk but you will enjoy it anyway. I sat on a mountainside and listened to the beautiful cow bells jingling away.Lichtenstein is a picturesque country with a beautiful castle.

Basically you will spend 30min in Liechtenstein late in the evening when everything is closed. The only reason why I picked this tour was to visit Liechtenstein. If that's your case, get a bus/train and do it on your own. We stopped for 2 hours at another town this was the lunch break._br/_ I will also add that we made a stop not on the itinerary as per a special request from a family. We showed a great amount of respect afterwards by being late at every single stop and making us all waste time waiting for them.

I was kind of disappointed I wasn't able to take a picture of the Heidi house I understood it was going to be closed but we were told we would still be going and the bus was called Heidiland so it was my understanding that we would stop there anyway. In face we were told we would go there and then at the last minute a choice was given to stop at the Heidi house or stop at the river/lake with emphasis on how great the river/lake was. We had 6 people and one was a family of four . Another concern was: The tour information said we would be dropped off from place we were picked up but that didn't happen either. We were dropped off on the street across from the rail station and told to walk back. This was very inconvenient for me because I bought wine and chose my hotel because I knew it was on the same end of the street as the bus stop and all I had to do would just cross two short bridges and I would be at my hotel. But instead I had to walk further around the Mulberry Bush with my wine and down a dark street where nothing was open on that street but the red light zone stores/cinema. No one else on the street but me. I chose the hotel for the convenience and I had plan where I was going to eat over by the bus stop, so all that was a no go. When I said I did not know how to get to my hotel from here, I was told oh you just go down this street and do this and that. I don't think changing the drop off point is a good thing especially when you have to find you way back at night. I notice the next morning that I could've turn left earlier and walked by the lake instead of the other dimly lit street, but I couldn't tell at night. Do not change the drop off point. If you want to drop someone off on the way that's fine with me but don't change the drop off point because it makes it convenient for the tour guide or the driver keep straight home. Not good. The other parts of the tour was really good minus the previous issues I stated.

Great day trip out of Zurich to Heidiland and Liechtenstein. We enjoyed our visit, however there was not as much time in Liechtenstein as I expected. We only had 45 minutes to walk around and shop too. I would recommend leaving Zurich about an hour or two earlier than scheduled. The trip we were on, left city at 11 a.m.-- and we could have easily left at 9 a.m. --- Also, in Liechtenstein, if there is a way the bus could go further into the principality than just Vaduz-- perhaps for a sweeping vista stop by for a photo that might work well too. The visit to Heidiland was excellent and I would add about 30 minutes in the little town itself for a quick walkabout, grab a coffee etc as the small village was charming, but we only drove through it quickly. Leaving a couple of hours earlier than scheduled would give you the extra time in both places which would make the trip even better. Thanks to all for an amazing trip.

I did this tour in early January and unfortunately it rained all day. The places we saw were really nice but because it wasn't high season most of the things were closed. It was a great opportunity to go to Liechtenstein via this tour because doing it on your own would probably take longer and it would be more expensive. I used to watch a lot of Heidi as a child so this was a nice opportunity to see some of the landscape, too bad the house is closed during winter season. I particularly liked the fact that our guide Ana played some Heidi episodes on the way back, nice touch!

The trip was short but informative! Guide was friendly and driver was nice and careful! The entire trip was enjoyable. Only problem was it was a little rush at Hediland but we had a great time in Liechtenstein. Would recommend this trip anytime :)

If you are truly interested in all things Heidi, do not take this tour in the winter. I am not a Heidi-aphile and therefore was very content with the interesting substitute stops. Our guide was very informative and organized. She was quite adept at herding us cats! She didn't lose a one. Special kudos to our driver: he was quite jolly and made the tour very enjoyable including making a surprise stop, no spoiler here.

For a 7-8 hour tour, having only 40 minutes in Liechtenstein is not nearly enough time. There was a large amount of time wasted throughout the day that would have been much better spent enjoying such a beautiful country. I did not feel as though it was a tour, it was more of a rush here, walk through this part quickly with the guide but don't learn anything about where it is you are, then move on day. I was very disappointed with this experience and would not recommend it. I really can't say where most of the day went, it felt like we were only on the bus the entire day. I suggest having this tour broken into two different groups, because from the people I talked to on this trip, we all only wanted to see Liechtenstein and had practically no time there. Literally just a bus from Zurich to Vaduz with independently touring Vaduz for more time would have been better than this. Getting 40 minutes to visit two souvenir shops and then going back to Zurich is not visiting a country.

The tour of Zurich and Heidiland was good, but we hardly had any time in Liechtenstein which is what we were really looking forward to. Some people arrived late at the start of the tour and then were late returning to the bus in Heidiland. We felt very disappointed to be so rushed in Liechtenstein. Our tour guide was interesting and helpful.

It rained all day when we took the tour, but we still enjoyed the scenic drive and tour around the gorgeous Heidiland and Liechtenstein. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information. The tour pick-up is arranged at one of kiosks at the bus station. The tour company name, Hans Meier Tourist isn't prominently displayed there, but you can simply ask the guys working there.

Heidiland was great. So beautiful. The bit of hiking/walking was fun and we enjoyed the countryside very much. There really is not much to see in Liechtenstein. Some of the tour wanted to get their passports stamped. That will cost you. The town is pleasant but the real highlight of the tour is the countryside and the actual Heidiland. Loved the bells on the cows.

Hi. Our experience was amazing. Tours were very nice, except Liechtenstein because only it was a commercial visit not a turistic tour. As result we had a little time to be in Heidiland our main objetive. But I have to say that was amazing experience to walk in Heidiland and to visit the house. We love it.

Easy way to get a bit of exposure to Liechtenstein, but all you get is information on the bus and about an hour in Liechtenstein. However, if you're looking for swiss products watches, Swiss army knife, etc you can pick it up from Liechtenstein._br/_ Heidiland was a cool place to visit with a lot of interesting information on the tale.

This was a very enjoyable tour, enhanced by perfect weather in mid-October. The Zurich City Tour included some sights I had not seen on my previous visit to the city. The lunch stop in Rapperswil included a brief tour of the old neighborhood and rose gardens, with a climb up stairs to an amazing overlook. Those who wanted a longer lunch had time for it, and those who wanted to explore, visit the castle grounds free, and grab a quick bite could also be accommodated. The 45-minure visit in Liechtenstein could have been longer, but was enough to visit the postal museum and write a few post cards home from this tiny principality. The visit to Maienfeld was really to the countryside Heidiland, where a hike through lovely scenery concluded at a Heidi gift shop, with an option to visit the Heidi house, a mock-up of the kind of home intended in the novel Heidi, for an added admission price. The folks on our tour were primarily interested in the opportunity to visit Liechtenstein, which perhaps should have been given more time and emphasis. Our tour guide and driver were both quite capable, and the guide knowledgeable about the sites we visited and in commentary along the way. I would recommend this very reasonably priced day trip from Zurich.

We scheduled this tour on our last day of vacation. What a way to end a trip. The tour was awesome! I was not expecting much from Heidiland but it was the highlight of the tour! What a magical place! The bus was comfortable, our driver Armando was exceptional, our guide Peter was very informative and a pleasure! We had perfect weather which made everything even more enjoyable.

We were quite disappointed with this tour!_br/_ The only nice part was a brief tour of the city of Zurich. _br/_ We did not see anything in Liechtenstein, except a nice castle far away and a stop at a small outdoor shopping center in Vaduz, its capital. That's the Liechtenstein tour._br/_ It would have been better to replace Heidiland a souvenir shop, with a Swiss mountain village.

The crowd on this tour tends to lean a bit older, and there are also two tours combined hich seems to be a common theme on Zurich tours. The tour guide suggested a restaurant in Rapperswil where a few us ate...I don't recall the name, but it was the one with the famous cheese pies. No one on our tour enjoyed the restaurant and there seemed to be much better options around...I'm really sure the tour guide/company had some sort of deal in place with this restaurant.

Really looked forward to this tour! Not impressed with our stop in Rapperswil....we were basically herded toward a restaurant chosen by our guide with no mention of the history of the area....nor a visit to the medieval castle...or to the rose garden.......or a chance to explore on our own! The stop in Liechtenstein left a lot to be desired as well...please ask your guides to indicate washroom breaks, since it would have been appreciated by all. The saving grace for me was the visit to Heidiland. There I experienced the Switzerland I had read about as a child.....thank you for that!

The visit to Liechtenstein was only to the city centre but not to the mountain to view the mountain and view scene as shown in the advertisement. Also, in the lunch break to Rappaswil, when we said we were not going to lunch in the restaurant highly recommended by the tour guide, she turned her face black immediately.

We spent over 2 hours in Heidiland and less than 45 minutes in Liechtenstein. We booked this tour to check out Liechtenstein and not spend over 2 hours in Heidiland. Would not have booked this tour if we knew this would be the outcome.
