This was nice to do in the evening to get out of the hotel.The dancers and band were very good and put on a great show. The food was just okay, as I expected. The real let down was the boat. Smoking was aloud and it seemed like we were the only ones not partaking. The outdoor balcony was VERY small and not that enjoyable for an escape. A larger boat with outdoor seating would have been nice so you can enjoy the views from the Nile. I would not recommend taking your children on this boat due to all of the smoke.

Overpriced for what you get. My guide and driver were not friendly at all... Once I got to the boat they didn't even want to let me choose an appetizer I chose the A La Carte option and dessert and drinks are not included... _br/_ The view from the Cruise is really nothing special, especially at night._br/_ The only saving grace is the entertainment... The belly dancer was fantastic, as was the Sufi dancer.

Maxim was AMAZING! A must do in Cairo. The guide, Mr Amr was also equally fantastic. He even went out of his way to get us something we needed from the pharmacy while we were on the boat. He was prompt upon pick up and helpful and waited for us at the gates when we returned. Highly recommended!

Wasn't worth the money. Music was weird 1980 american music, belly dancer was cheap looking with hair extensions and spent more time shaking her breasts then her belly. Other entertainers were boring and cheap looking as well. The whole thing didn't have an authentic feel. Dinner was good but I would rather have ate somewhere else for the money we spent. The cruise doesn't even go past the pyramids. Don't pay the money for this. It's really corny.....

This is a great way to end the day. After lots of activity, there is something very relaxing about dressing up for a nice dinner, enjoying the sights of the city from the Nile River and watching excellent performers do what they do well. For the meal, the best part was the salad bar buffet. It featured a variety of things. Unfortunately, my bread didn't come early enough to properly enjoy the hummus and baba ganoush. The rest of the meal was well done, but nothing special. The performances had a nice flow from one act to the next, and all performers did a very good job. The 2.5 hours goes by very quickly. I had been a bit worried about being on a boat. But, the ride was VERY smooth--unless you watch the banks of the river, you wouldn't notice that the boat was moving at all.

My wife and I were picked up from our hotel and driven to the boat, ushered onto it and seated for the dinner show cruise. A couple of tips would be to ask for a seat at a table as close as possible to the dance floor, as it will give you the best view of the show you can always walk out to the balcony to get a better view of the city, and the other tip would be to give yourself plenty of time to get there as the traffic in the evening is at it's very worst._br/_ The meals was pretty good, with a large selection of sides, and the wine selection too._br/_ The show started with some Arabic music by the house band, then the amazing belly dancer came on and performed a great show. This was followed by the guy performing the Whirling Dervish dance. He was outstanding. Have you cameras charged and ready._br/_ Overall, it was a great night of food, wine and dancing. Recommended

First experience of Egypt with some traditional cuisines and traditional floorshows. Truly a wonderful experiences that we will always remember having dinner and cruising on the famous Nile River. The tour company looked after us very well especially on our first experience of Egypt and also our visits to the Egyptian Museum and other places. This is a fun way to start your trip, especially if you get into Cairo in the middle of the day and don't want to start a big adventure before resting up. The food is pretty good and the dancers are incredibly athletic and fun to watch. It would be a good idea to bring soft earplugs, though the music is very loud and in a confined space, and it starts to wear on you after awhile.

We were picked up by our guide as agreed. Starter was buffet salad bar. Main meal was lovely. Dessert was given to us and didnt get a choice. So much for al la carte menu. Drinks were expensive especially the alcoholic ones. The entertainment was good apart from the singer who we felt was uncomfortable being on stage. We were driven back to our hotel where the guide was expecting a tip. Seeing how we managed to spend almost 300 this evening we did tip him but he was not impressed witb the amount given.

We loved cruising the Nile on the Maxim. Our host Mohamed secured for the 2 of us one of the best tables on the floor, right next to the stage, and helped us make our food and drink selections. We enjoyed the dinner, 2-hour live entertainment program was great (live "Western" and Arabic bands, a whirling dancer, a belly dancer), and the night Cairo looked amazing from the boat. Hotel pick up and drop off were included in the package. Worth every penny! A great night out in Cairo.

The cruise itself was nice. When we hired the cruise, we were offered a set menu that we never saw. It was only arab food in a buffet. The belly dancer never showed up, so at the end I felt cheated. A pity.
